I contacted Go808 a week in advance of my trip to Honolulu for roundtrip service from Honolulu Airport to my hotel (Hyatt Regency) in Waikiki. I didn't want to have a shared ride in a big bus, or use an expensive taxi, and Go808 sounded great from all the positive reviews I read. Everything went smoothly! The driver was so friendly, and informative. Best of all the price was affordable, even with gratuity (we paid cash). Arrival The day before our arrival in Oahu, I called to confirm the reservation with Go808. Upon arrival at Honolulu Airport the next day, I called them again (as per their instruction), and I ended up talking to our friendly driver. He told me to go ahead and get our luggage. After getting our bags, I called him again - and he instructed me to meet him in the center island on the street outside baggage claim. (Note, you may not be able to see your driver's parked van until you get that the center island because other vans and buses are often parked there obstructing your view.) I found the driver at the center island holding a sign with my name on it. He helped load the van, and he also had water for us (it was really hot that day). Once we got going, it only took 30 minutes to get to our hotel. (There was a bit of traffic, but it wasn't bad compared to traffic I've experienced in LA or San Francisco.) On the way, our driver was really informative - he told us what restaurants to go to, the best ways to get to certain sites, and general tips for our trip. One thing I must say is that our driver was really nice - my child had forgotten his luggage in the van after the driver dropped us at our hotel. We quickly called the Go808 number and the driver was back at the hotel with my kid's luggage in a matter of 5 minutes! Returning The return trip to Honolulu Airport went smoothly as well. The day before, I called them to confirm the pickup. The following day, the driver called me 30 minutes before the pickup time - saying there was no hurry but that he was already at the hotel and would be waiting. I found out that it was the same awesome driver we had before and we were soon back at the airport. (Tip: try to avoid high traffic times in the early morning or late afternoon - this can delay your trip. Also, don't forget to tip your driver!) I would have given them 5 stars except the dispatcher messed up twice. The first time resulted with the shuttle arriving 24 hours early; the second time was when the driver did not arrive at all the next day. Thanks to another driver, Josie who made up for the dispatcher's mistakes. She was given the wrong date and showed up a day early. The next day another driver was assigned but failed to show up. Josie then took the assignment but ended up being 30 minutes late. She was extremely apologetic although it wasn't her fault. She managed to get us to the airport in time for our flight. She told us that she would make sure to pick us up from the airport when we returned which she did, even meeting us at the luggage area to help us to take our baggage to her vehicle. Booked them after finding out the original shuttle I had booked was completely unreliable via Yelp reviews. Got a call while in the air saying they noticed we landed and were on the way and would be there in 30 min. I called back once I got out of the gate, but I got no answer, so I headed to Baggage Claim anyway, figured he was driving. Then I get another 808 area code phone call, tells me they're there for me and where to go. So I hop in the shuttle, about 15 minutes later get a call from the original number and let him know I had already got in a shuttle and he sounded confused, but thanked me anyway. That's when I noticed the unconfirmed, "unreliable" shuttle had gotten us instead. I realized my mistake, but I'm sure it's happened before. Then I got 4 calls from some other 808 number, turns out to be Luke from Go808. He left me a voicemail stating he wanted answers as to why I was wasting people's time and it's the driver's day off and he came to get me on his day off. Then stated he will keep calling my cell phone and call my hotel room until he gets answers(2 times at least, maybe 3 times). That I was playing a charade. Completely rude harassing voicemail. I still have it, because yikes. Totally not my intention on doing that and it was a complete mistake and misunderstanding on my part. I don't come to Hawaii to mess with shuttles, not really a hobby of mine. I called him back and tried to apologize, but kept getting interrupted. He tells me it was the driver's day off and the driver's don't get paid if they don't get a pick-up. Tells me I was playing a game and it was no misunderstanding. Told me their shuttles are clearly marked so it was no mistake, like I know what your shuttles look like. Then still asked if I wanted my return shuttle, nice enough but after telling me you're going to harass me and being totally out of line. Well I read the reviews as always and decided on booking our airport pickup and drop off with Go808. COMMUNICATE!!!. I called up while still in NY and was greeted and treated well on the phone. Upon arrival we did have a few delays, first I hope the flight attendants are going to be OK. We had severe turbulence and 3 members of the crew were injured. Ladies I wish you all well and speedy recoveries. I called to explain we would be delayed once we landed, the dispatcher was very understanding. We had another delay with getting our checked luggage, again I called and explained, he said our driver would be there waiting not to worry. Our driver was waiting for us, in fact he called me on my cellphone to let me know he was still waiting for us. We got the pickup with Lei greeting for only $10 per person.. nice touch. Nolan (our driver) was very friendly he was like our own tour guide. The van was clean and we were the only pickup. The transportation was private which was helpful since we had a party of 9 persons. The vehicle was a full-size van and it was clean and relatively new. Our driver to our hotel was Angelo. We were more than pleased with GO808. Chase was an excellent driver and the pickup from the Waikiki Parc to HNL was super smooth despite a traffic problem on Lewers Street. The van was spotless and very comfortable and we could not have a better ride. We will definitely call on them again when we return later this year and use them to and from Waikiki. My husband and I unfortunately had a bad experience with another company bringing us to our hotel from the airport when we arrived at Honolulu and decided to look for another company on the way back to the airport. Driver monitored our flight, and he called us as we were taxing into the gate, asking if we knew where to meet out driver, gave directions to meet him, super friendly!!!! Best shuttle service that I've ever used - anywhere! Luke picked us up right on our requested time in a newer comfortable mini-van and got us to the airport quickly. He definitely knew his way around and I wasn't worried that he was running up the fare because it was fixed @ $25 (from Sheraton Waikiki) for both of us. No other stops or passengers. I don't think you can find a better deal for 2 or more. As a single traveler you could get a cheaper shuttle but it would likely take twice as long with stops for other passengers. I wish I could find a similar service in Seattle. Please tip appropriately. I tipped $15 for total of $40 because it was great service still good value and I want them to be in business next time I visit. read more

What a great superb service I experienced. The lady driver called me as soon I walked off the plane, wow, told me where she was waiting, and took me to my hotel. No extra stops, just me, my friend, and the driver. Pls do yourself a favor and use these guys, frealz! Ya know why? Because I was being cheap on my way from the hotel to the airport and decided to use another service: WAIKIKI SHUTTLE. Oh my goodness what a difference. So for $2 less, i had to endure a non air conditioned van, other tourist, an unsafe driver, and additional stops to fill up the van. Those mofos at Waikiki really packed us like sardines in there. Not only was Rodney very responsive, he offered helpful recommendations on where to go for our tour and re-arranged our stops so it'll be one smooth trip. On the day of the tour, Angelo was our driver and he was so courteous and helpful. He helped my 80-yr old dad transfer in and out of wheelchair and was so patient with our whole group of 8. When I see places with five stars, I usually assume that the employees are instructed to write bogus reviews. I was actually skeptical about this company but decided to give them a try anyways. They were great. I used the online reservation system (totally looks sketchy and "low tech", but worked great). I got an e-mail back promptly about my reservation. Just to be sure, I called the day before I was to arrive in Honolulu and they confirmed my flight and reservation. Our flight got in 20 minutes early and they were already there waiting! Josie was our driver to Waikiki and she was SUPER knowledgable and gave us great ideas about where to go and what to do on Oahu. It was quick and easy. Cost was $25 for that ride (two of us took the shuttle with our luggage). Our flight back home was early in the morning and our driver Angelo was already up front waiting ten minutes early! These are as great as everyone says! I used Go808 Express to go to and from the airport. They're super friendly, very professional and prompt. As a young female, traveling alone, it was important to me to find someone highly recommended. Now I highly recommend them to others too. One reason I chose Go808 was because they would allow a multi stop. I needed an airport pick then a stop before going to my hotel. They did this for only an additional $10 which was great. Otherwise I would have needed to get a separate cab which would have been expensive. Their cars were clean and well marked. They even opened the door for me and let me use their iPhone charger...how nice! I do recommend booking a few days, at least, in advance as they're popular and fill up. Tried to get a quote for 2 trips for 30-35 guys, 6 days a week, spanning over 1-2 years. Luke told me to send and email with the details (totally reasonable) and then they would get back to me. However, he went on to tell me that I would need to secure this work with some sort of deposit (again reasonable and not an issue), but then started to insinuate that I wouldn't have the ability to do so and he became increasingly more rude. I was extremely confused as to why he was insinuating that that would be an issue in any way. Luke then told me "we have a pecking order here". I don't know how the conversation went from 0-60 that quickly or if the guy was having a bad day or something, but what he was telling me really made little sense and was over the top rude, especially for someone looking to do business in the hundred thousand dollar range. When I told him that I maybe I should find someone else who would be more gracious to take the business, he seemed happy to let me get off the phone and go to a competitor. And so, I had very little expectation of Go808express waiting for me when I landed in Honolulu airport. I always review and price shop to no end with anything and so finding THE shuttle to take us to and from the airport was no different. There was a small glitch with making a reservation on the website but I had no problems securing a reservation via email. I received an email confirmation with a suggested return pick-up time. I booked a round-trip shuttle with them which meant that my fiancee and I would be the only ones in the car to and from the trip. This was a huge plus because it would mean that we would not have to stop to drop off or pick up other guests on the way to the airport. Most shuttle services that I'm use to make an unpredictable amount of stop prior to the final destination. Upon arrival at HNL, the driver was prompt and called me on my cell phone at the appointed time to let me know that he was at the airport waiting for us and where to find him and the shuttle. During the ride, he provided a wealth of information to us about Honolulu in general and in response to all the questions my fiancee was asking him in regards to local food recommendations. At drop-off, he confirmed our return pick-up time. I didn't need to change the pick-up time, but they seemed to have been very accommodating should I have wanted to change the pick-up time again. On our ride back to the airport, the driver called us before the appointed time to let us know he was 5 minutes late which really is not even that big of a deal but I was very impressed that he called us to let us know that anyways. They are very laid back on the island, but must deal with enough of us mainlanders to know that we are always in a rush to get to any destination and was doing a great job in accommodating our neurosis. A couple years ago when my husband and I came here to Hawaii we hired them to pick us up from Honolulu airport and our driver was a very kind and super informative lady named Josie. We were a party of seven so we were able to get picked up in a big, clean van that accommodated my party of 7. Unfortunately me and my entire party cannot grasp the concept of "packing lightly" lol, but thank goodness their vans are spacious enough, and our driver Angelo is good at Tetris hahahas jk. As soon as you land they send you either a text or a phone call letting you know that they are there waiting for you letting you know where to go as soon as you have your luggage. Other than that their website is very informative and the emails that they send you are very detailed so there's no confusion. Oh, you can also pre-pay online or pay cash in person. Went on a tour with GO808Tours, Angelo was our guide. He was funny and well versed on the sights introduced to us. Every step of the booking process was smooth and informative. The tour group was small, less than 10. It allowed us to add more time at places we all liked and spent less time in other places or even passed it all together to allow for a swim at Waimea Bay. Very accommodating! The price was fair but in the end I felt we got a better deal than what the other larger companies offered because of the smaller group, in a sense I felt we got treated to a customized tour which benefitted all on our small group. Visited January 2014: Can't say enough about this company. My daughter and I were picked up at airport, and had a message from driver waiting for us when we landed with directions on how to get from baggage claim to where he was waiting. Paul was our driver, and he let us ask him about places to eat, where to shop, etc. Nicest person. We also had to cancel our return shuttle b/c we were invited by local friends to stay with them a few extra days and they would drive us to the airport. Go808 canceled with no questions, confirmed right away with an email and thanked us for using them. We plan to visit every year, and will definately use them again! Booked on their web site. Got confirmation within an hour. We got a call on our mobile phone shortly after we landed. We did not have checked luggage. The van was waiting right outside to the left of the baggage claim area. It was a direct straight non-stop drive from the airport to our hotel in Waikiki. Josie is so cool about pointing out areas that may be of interested to us to check out. From restaurants to spots to hang out, as well as out of Waikiki areas to visit. If you are going to be late for any reasons, call them as soon as you can and let them know. Highly recommended. Will definitely use them again! read more
