Proof I experienced this!

I want to share my experience with the staff here particularly the front desk Woman which was extremely unpleasant. She clearly acknowledged that I already earned my license from a previous visit, yet because I didn't physically have it with me today, she insisted I go through the entire "training" again as if I were a new client. This feels like nothing more than a tactic to squeeze more money out of returning customers. The lack of professionalism and respect left a very bad taste, and I will be sure to inform others about this experience.

This is an amazing place to bring the kids and have fun on family night. Lots of tracks for different age groups. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I recommend checking Groupon for some really good deals.

Boys and girls from troop 371 had such a great time. Facilities are nice and clean. Staff very helpful. Went out their way to help us... party room was great. A great appreciation to all the staff at go kart world.

I know this place has been here for years but I never made it here. I brought 3 teenage boys. I purchased their wristbands online ahead of time and they had a great time. The young girl checking us in didn't really provide any direction or guidance even tho I told her it was our first time here, so you're kind of on your own to figure it out. The young guys working the tracks were friendly and pretty attentive. One of the boys in our group dropped his phone in one of the cars. When he realized his phone was missing, the guys on the track told him they found a phone and that it was turned into the front office. Phone was located and all was good again. This place needs some cosmetic updates but otherwise something fun to do with the whole family.

Booked a 10th birthday here. The process was quick and easy, the owner and management were very helpful. Everything was done through an email and yes it's true they will get back to you before the day is over if you send in a request before 5 pm. They even sent a list of the nearby pizzerias so we could place an order and have it delivered on time. I liked that they allowed outside food and gave limited options pizza, cake, no alcohol and no chicken wings. It made deciding so much easier. As far as arriving there? Well the place can definitely use a facelift. It's old, the tracks are limited and some of our riders didn't get to go on the main track because of height restrictions. They should definitely keep up on maintenance on their karts as only 3 we're working for the mini track and at one point the birthday boys go kart wasn't working. I also didn't like the approach of some of the workers, they just didn't seem enthusiastic about their job, one man was sitting on his phone till we buzzed the heck out of the help button and yelled. If these few things could be improved it would be that much better. But we made the best of it and it's definitely worth a visit. If you have a group of young boys an hour or so here is a perfect night out. We will be returning soon. Thanks

We used our Groupon for this place and it's good and not too crowded even on weekends if you go during the day (evenings and nights I have heard it's super packed). Parking can be kind of hard as the lot is kind of small. Weekend nights though might be crowded and more rowdy teens come here, but I think they are good at enforcing the rules. The 2 hour wrist bands are a better value and you can maybe go on 5 rides or so but it's still kind of expensive (even with a Groupon deal). It's a nice place to go once in a while. I have never seen the snack counters open so I'm not sure if they are closed permanently.

Staff: Extraordinarily friendly, not sure what happened with the previous reviews but we had nothing but amazing service from every employee there. We arrived right at 10am on a monday morning, my son and I were the first two people there and had the pick of the tracks. Both Lee and the other gentleman were awesome. Check-in Process: Easy check-in sign a form for a minor and quickly inside to pay and get a wristband. Tracks: We really enjoyed the tracks especially Super Track and The Turbo Track, some really unique turns and bumps. Slick track is also fun but a bit small. Cars: Here is where Unfortunately is our only complaint, specifically the cars on the Turbo track where the rubber on the steering wheels is very melted off and kinda sticks on your hands.. these need some replacing, the cars themselves are fine some even fast if you get the right ones but there are some stinkers in there. overall the cars themselves are on the older side, it's a unique experience getting into the cars from the front. The mirrors on the cars on the Super track is a nice touch. Bathrooms: bathrooms are as you would expect way cleaner than a bowling alley haha. Pricing: $90.00 for 2 hours using a groupon Overall: The place is aging and could use a bit of a aesthetic facelift, it looks old I can't imagine covid was easy to go through and recover. A great way to kill a couple of hours, if you have younger kids this place will be absolutely awesome. We had a great time and if we are in the city of Carson we will definitely make the trip again

Does every track have at least one kart with two seats?

We have two-seaters on the Mini Indy, Slick Track, Turbo Road Course, and the Super Track.

Does the kiddy track allow small kids? 3 years age?

Hi! The Kiddy Track is currently closed, but the Kiddy Track karts are sharing the Mini Indy, so your question is still relevant. The Kiddy Track karts are for children under 75 lbs. L.A. County wouldn't allow us to reopen from COVID in 2021 until… Read more

Do young (5 year old) passengers pay the same price as the driving adults? I only saw single prices on your website and no mention of passenger tickets.

We have two methods to race; tickets or wristbands. For everything except the adult-only race karts, one ticket will buy one race on any track. Wristbands, on the other hand, are good for unlimited racing during a specific time period. The pricing… Read more

Hi, what are the lines usually like on a Saturday afternoon and early evening?

Hi Letitia - There really aren't any lines on Saturdays until about 7 pm. That's when we start to get busy.

Can I take my 4 year old to GoKart World? Can he ride with me?

Hi Heather - Yes! We have double seaters available on the Mini Indy, Slick Track, Turbo Track, and Super Track. The driver must be 16 or older and the passenger must be at least 32" tall. =)

What are the prices for the go karts? and for how long do you get to stay out on the track for? and what is the age rang for the go karts?

Prices: Go Kart World uses tickets and wristbands to give customers a choice.… Read more

Is there a wait time or you allowing a certain amount of people in at a time?

Hi Monique - We are busiest on Friday and Saturday nights. It usually starts getting busy at 7:30 pm, but with the 10 pm curfew instituted this weekend, we aren't sure. We aren't allowing in more than 50% capacity at a time, per L.A. County rules.

Is there 2 seater karts?

Yes, we offer double seaters on all but two of our tracks.

Are the tracks open today?

Sorry, we are closed when it rains!! =(

Can I bring my own helmet and gloves or are those provided? Is the parking free for GoKart World customers?…

They do provide and require helmets. They don't provide gloves( parking is free

The smell hit me first: burning rubber mixed with ozone, a bouquet that spoke of countless battles fought on these very tracks. I approached the counter, signed the waiver with trembling hands. This was it. My initiation into the world of electric velocity. The safety briefing washed over me. Speed limits. Racing lines. Flags. But my mind was already elsewhere, imagining the perfect lap, the flawless execution of every turn. Then I saw it: the kart. Sleek. Silent. Deadly. I lowered myself into the molded seat, gripped the steering wheel. The moment my foot touched the accelerator, everything changed. The instant torque slammed me back into my seat! No engine roar, no warming up--just pure, unadulterated acceleration that felt like being shot from a cannon! The first corner approached rapidly. I braked--perhaps too hard--and felt the rear end slide ever so slightly. My pupils dilated. This was it. This was the dance. Turn two. I remembered the instructor's words. Brake early. Apex late. Accelerate through. My body moved on instinct, finding the rhythm, becoming one with the machine. By lap three, everything crystallized. The track revealed its secrets to me. That slight banking in corner four. The deceptive tightness of the chicane. Each revelation was a flavor explosion on my palate--bitter defeat transformed into sweet victory! Other racers surrounded me. I could feel their presence, their fighting spirit! We weaved through corners in formation, each seeking that perfect line, that extra tenth of a second. When I finally executed a flawless outside pass on the long straight, my entire body surged with electricity! The laps blurred together in a symphony of speed. Left, right, brake, accelerate--a recipe perfected through repetition, each iteration bringing me closer to nirvana. And then, too soon, the checkered flag. My final time flashed on the screen. I stumbled from the kart, legs shaking, heart racing, a massive grin splitting my face. The other racers gathered around the timing board, comparing battle scars and bragging rights. This wasn't just fun. This was transcendent. This was speed distilled to its purest essence, served at precisely the right temperature to ignite the soul! K1 Speed had delivered a five-star experience that left me hungry for more.

I gave this location (2) stars for the staff when you come in to register (they were helpful and…read morewelcoming) and because of my food (which took a while to order because the girl who took our orders seemed like she was not all there --for lack of better words-- she made the ordering process longer and difficult than it needed to be). The biggest issue was a staff around the track --this (1) girl in particular appeared to be having too much fun slowing certain go-karts down with her red remote, imo. But I'll get back to that in a sec. We decided to eat first: Food was okay-- ordered pepperoni pizza (they almost left it in too long and some of the crust was burnt. Had to break those pieces off and eat around it) and Pepsi in a bottle. My bro got sliders, wings, tots and Pepsi. His food took a while so we couldn't really eat together. Ended up sharing my food while we waited for his to come out -- which was weird since we were the only ones there who had ordered anything. When his food finally arrived he ate some of it and threw the rest away --guess he wasn't impressed. He mentioned it was "decent". Now to the races: Multiple people came and bumped me trying to get past me --never saw her slow their go-carts down but she definitely slowed down me and my bro multiple times when we were the ones getting bumped continuously. It got to the point where I just purposely stayed the last racer just to try and enjoy the experience and made no attempts to move up the ranks. Idk what the men's restroom looked like but the women's restroom had lots of gnats! Paper towels overflowing from the discard. Important to note: For as many staff as they had lollygaging around near the track you would think the place would be spotless. There weren't a whole lot of customer so definitely some staff could've been putting in some time and effort to clean around the place. Ultimately: We paid for (3) races. Ended up only using (2) mutually agreeing it was time to get outta there. Leaving the 3rd race on our accounts for another visit that we will be using at ANOTHER LOCATION. No I don't recommend and doubt I'd be returning. This review is reflective of my visit on 11/7/25 Duration of stay around 2hrs.

The best part was when we had the chance to "put the pedal to the medal" (as my grandmother would say lol) and race each other. We arrived early for Valentine's Day to do something fun with our sons and were second in line. From the start, the process was confusing--waivers and payment were handled separately, and the waiver attendant wasn't able to answer our questions and redirected us to the payment rep, who was moving up and down the line asking about reservations. After watching three rounds of racers go ahead of us, we finally asked what was going on. That's when we learned that people with reservations are allowed to cut the line. Totally understandable--but this was never communicated to us. It would have helped immensely to know upfront that there's a reservation system with priority access, or to have a separate line for reserved guests. We weren't the only ones feeling confused. Once we asked, the rep kindly explained the situation, which we appreciated. However, she couldn't give us a clear estimate--just that it might be another 30 minutes... or more. It would have been very helpful to know all of this off top instead of being passed by multiple times. By that point, we had already been waiting an hour, believing we were second in line. The uncertainty was confusing and disappointing, especially for our kids. Ultimately, we decided to leave after losing over an hour, hoping and wondering what was happening. It was heartbreaking for our boys. I do want to say--the owner's energy was amazing. His excitement and passion are honestly what kept us waiting as long as we did. We love supporting small businesses, and that positive energy really matters. With clearer communication and better organization, this could be such a smoother and more enjoyable experience for everyone. I truly hope that feedback helps, because the concept and vibe have so much potential.

Their own website clearly states to arrive at 6pm, with no mention of calling ahead, no reservation system, no waitlist. So that's exactly what we did. We arrived on time only to be turned away because the spots were already gone. Apparently there's an unwritten rule that regulars know to call ahead, information conveniently absent from their website. When we asked the general manager, Cameron, why this wasn't communicated anywhere publicly, her repeated response was essentially "we're popular", offered with the self-satisfaction of someone who sees no problem with the situation. No apology. No empathy. No acknowledgment that their website is actively misleading customers. Just a shrug and a reminder that this is "how you learn for next time." My son was in tears. What's most frustrating isn't the miscommunication, it's the attitude. A good manager finds a way to soften the blow, acknowledge the failure, and make a family feel heard. Cameron did none of that. When I pointed out that if calling ahead is policy, it should be stated publicly, she had no real answer, just more deflection about how popular they are. K1 may be too busy to care about losing one family's business, but we had been planning a birthday party there. That won't be happening.
