I went there last year or so to find out more about go karting and I found the owner to be very honest helpful and insightful. I did not feel as though he was trying to sell me anything, more like giving helpful information. I understand what he does is a business and he has to be selling something, given, but I felt where he makes any money is in the labor that he or his crew(sons,etc.) spend in your kart. Its a little like getting your car worked on. And not all problems are easy, not all are quick. I feel sorry for anyone who felt they got screwed. In the end it was more money than i had at the time but i think of it often. Racing is a costly affair. read more

We live in New Jersey and bought a used Birel C28R for our son to get started in karting. Karting is intimidation to get into and Stu helped me with parts, set-up and just general questions anytime I needed. He always answers my calls or texts and spends the time to explain everything. I started off looking to get my 5 year old daughter into Karting. I grew up in and around auto racing my whole life so when my daughter turned 5 it was her turn. I found MDG karting and Stu through luck!!! I had been to just about every other shop in Southern California with money in my hand and no one would take it. Stu spent the time to get to know us and our needs. He asked that I bring my daughter in so he could meet her and fit her to a seat for her kart, he found a good used seat for and a very nice used driving suit. He helped me fit the pedals to her hight and spent his time with us. Because of MDG Karting's help with getting my daughter set up, I told Stu I would purchase my Kart from him. He didn't believe me. I walked in a few months later ready to purchase a F100 ready Kart from Stu and he got me set up with the correct kart for my needs and my budget. It was not new but it is a very competitive Kart. When you buy a Kart from MDG you are not just getting a Kart you are getting a racing family. Stu will take you out to the track for your first day and make sure you are comfortable enough to do this on your own going forward . He will get your kart set up for you and give you points on your driving. MDG Karting will be there for you at most of the local races, Stu and his staff love nothing more to see their customers succeed at the track. I cannot count how many times they have helped me out at the track. In addition he will introduce you to all of the awesome people that are associated with his shop, these people are like a family! Even if you are racing against them they will help you get the most out of your Kart and your driving everyone is there to make sure you can do the best you can. When buying a used Kart, there may be what seem like cheaper options out there. But one thing I can say is the used karts MDG sells are backed by MDG. They make sure they are straight not bent, or crashed. They make sure they are race ready with good engines. Update!!! Since I posted this review I have had several people contact me stating that Stu stole/sold their Karts too. Do not do business with this guy!!! Stu sold my son's Kart without my authorization. I brought my son's Kart to Stu to be inspected and repaired if necessary. I called several times for a status and was told they didn't have time to repair it yet. After months of getting the run around, I showed up and was told by Stu's son that his father sold my son's Kart. I had to get the police involved. Stu refused to make it right. Completely dishonest business. read more

Shot Stu a text to make sure he was going to be available today (I always reccommend calling ahead) and if he had the maxxis slr compound tires in stock, along with oil, and carb reuild kits. He said he had all in stock, so I drove from my house in ontario out to his shop (about 40mins away, gotta love 91 traffic!) When I arrived he promptly got me the tires I need for the f100 series, some castor oil, a couple carb rebuild kits, and even gave me a good deal on a set of wheels for practice after showing me everything he had so I could choose which set I wanted. After I chose what I needed, I picked his brain a little bit about setups, tires and gained some info for the f100 series. As I was talking with him, I could tell this was a true lifelong passion of his! Stu, I appreciate your time and knowledge and MDG Karts will be my one stop shop. James (it was a pleasure to meet you) I know you were busy but I appreciate the time you took away to help get me rang up and set to go!
