The registration process is simple and the counter with computers is straight forward. The 11 laps don't go too quick so it offers a chance to learn the track and do your best. I showed up early to the empty building but still needed to wait for my reservation despite no other visitors so I'm pretty glad that it was located in a walkable location. My party did the Racing + FOX 1 combo. The racing sim was alright. Not that much different than what I can experience at the usual arcades. The dogfighting Sim was the highlight of the night. The set up where each individual has their own replica of a cockpit made it really immersive. I thought the cockpit would also move according to how we maneuver the jet, but that wasn't the case. The staff would also communicate to all of us during our dogfight, commentating on who took down whose plane. It was a decent experience, but I'm not sure if it's something I would do again.

The classes were during some of the hottest and most humid days in years - even at 6:30 am. Our instructors ensured we were safe with the heat and the riding. They really look after everyone - including this noob. They also have modern motorcycles for those of us who are "vertically challenged". Where else can you learn from a now-retired motorcycle officer?! Chris was AWESOME! Informative, supportive and full of stories that applied to what we were learning. A plethora of tips and encouragement - which is what some of us really needed, self included. It just doesn't get better. Richard was great. Like a big brother or uncle making sure you are doing your best. He's the "serious" one and there for you - no matter what happens, and I definitely have a very positive story. Thank you again, Richard. Bottom line: If you ever wanted to learn how to ride, this is THE class to take, and these instructors really make ALL the difference. Don't wait. We got there around 10am and it was pretty busy already. We walked the park to get a lay of the land, rode on some rides. Pretty cool to see the new Star Wars land that wasn't there years ago. Went on some classic rides like autopia, Peter Pan's flight and Pirates of the Caribbean. The merchandise was really expensive, so I didn't buy any. Didn't see much but the best gift shops are on Main Street (I like the classic characters). We spent a half day in the park and then around 3pm took the hotel shuttle back to the hotel to rest. Then we went back around 8pm. It was much more pleasant to go at night because it wasn't hot and the lines weren't as long. In the day, some of the lines said 80 minute wait and at night it became 30 minutes. When I was a kid, I remember Disneyland being expansive. Now, it looks smaller since I'm an adult. The food in the park is average but we enjoyed the gumbo. It will be a long time for me to go back to the park but I enjoyed taking it in as an adult.

When it comes to food, there are many options, but my absolute favorite lunch spot is 'Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo' inside Galaxy's Edge. The Cast Members are mostly friendly; I love how they call us "friend," which is such a warm and fun gesture. When you buy your tickets through the Disney App, your park reservation is automatically confirmed for you. I always park at the 'Toy Story Parking Area' which is a lot at 1976 S. Harbor Blvd ($40 currently to park here). You go through security right there, and then a free shuttle takes you straight to the main entrance and brings you back at the end of your day. I'm already planning my next trip!
