Its Thursday afternoon and I needed movers by the following Tuesday. Mountain Movers responded…read moreimmediately to a moving request I sent via YELP. Not only were these guys free for a Tuesday move but they were only going to charge me $85/hour. Yes!! You read that right. $85/hr for 2 movers and like an 80 ft moving truck---(don't think it was really 80 ft but you catch my drift...The truck was big as hell!) I corresponded with Alex regarding all of the moving details. Super patient, professional and thorough. He sent me over a service agreement to sign and I was booked---no deposits or anything. I had a scheduling conflict and had to delay my move one day. "No worries, see you on Wednesday!" Alex exclaimed in a text to me. Flexibility is an understatement! My move time was at 9AM on a Wednesday. The guys were at my door at 9:02AM. That's on-time in my book because they had to get through a security gate as well as 3 flights of stairs. The fellas were masked up due to COVID-19 and called me by name when speaking to me. Talk about stellar customer service! They are located in Arlington but have no problems traveling to Dallas. And they don't charge a mileage fee--nor a stair fee, folks! They do, however, charge a service fee of $65--which I certainly didn't mind paying. These gentleman were the truth!! I would recommend them to anyone that wants stress free moving. Friendly, fast & very careful with your belongings. Best movers I've ever had! Thanks Alex & Team!

While their price was good, and they moved me quickly (the 3 guys that moved me were personable),…read morethe damage to my furniture and lost parts to my bed frame left a bad taste in my mouth. I have a sofa that reclines. When they moved the sofa, they did not unplug the power cord first. The power cord was ripped out of the wall, snapping off the prongs from the power unit and leaving the prongs embedded in the wall socket. This was not discovered until after the movers had moved everything to the new location and left. They had also taken apart my bed frame for the move and told me they had taped the screws, bolts, and so forth to the headboard. The bed was not put together immediately after being moved because we did not know if we were going to keep it or not. Once it was decided to sell it during that same week, I went to put the bed together for pictures. I could not find any of the screws, bolts, nuts, etc. I had to go to Home Depot with a couple of the sections of the bed and figure out what I needed. Not expensive, but it should not have been necessary. I had the same bed when I moved 2 years before this. No issues. And lastly, there was damage to a drawer on one of my end tables and damage to the knobs on another piece of furniture. I guess minor stuff. It was a hot day, and I admire their work ethic, and while they were late, they at least let me know they were going to be late. They were also friendly. But I think more care should be taken when moving the furniture and securing any parts that come with the furniture. I now have a couch that won't recline, and if I do not find a replacement part, will never recline again.

Being a small home-based sewing company, it was not merely a family affair. We were stocked with…read moresewing machines, rolls of fabric, dress forms, shelves of supplies and dozens of storage containers, all of which had to be kept in order. The movers packed our business equipment, apart from our household items, so it would be easier to unpack later. We were scheduled to pick up at 10 am, but there was another resident temporarily on the freight elevator. The crew started packing loose household items until the elevator arrived and they could get on. One plastic container arrived with a loose lid, but its contents were undamaged. I liked how they handled all the delays they faced with a sense of calm.

The crew knew what they had and what they didn't, and they made the best of it by suggesting practical solutions that saved us a few pennies on keeping our valuables safe. Boxes were packed securely, and important donor records and program materials were included, recognizing their value to our mission. The team performed well, working efficiently while aware of the cost per hour and never rushing in any way that could damage equipment. The loading and unloading were very quick, and our moving expenses were kept within the budget we had set. I wish I had better news to share. I've moved 3 times in the last 5 years and the two gentlemen who…read moremoved me with Buddy Moving were the slowest by a wide margin. I had no couch. No dining table. One queen bed and two twin beds. One dresser. One of the rooms of my 3 bedroom home only had a plant stand. Still it took 5 hours to move me 20 min away. And then when we got to our new home, I noticed the craziest things. My chainsaw had been dropped into a box with my clothes. They didn't want to move boxes to rooms where I wanted them. I was told - we got the boxes in the garage so we put them in the garage. So even if it says Bedroom 2, they put them in the garage. Then they broke a piece of my furniture and lied to me saying that someone from their company would come and fix it. Later, I found out the company pays Pennies per pound for the object. I got $30 for a $200 piece that is not fixable. Overall, not a good experience. They seemed purposely slow, showed little care for my items, and lied when they broke something.

We followed his advice and saved a lot of time and $$$. The packers came and quickly packed our items carefully and systematically asking questions all the while. They were great about making sure that things went in a box labeled properly so I could find it when I unpacked at my new home. At my request they also used color-coded stickers to aid us all in the unloading at my new home. The following day everything was unloaded at my new home, with great care and great manners! They even went and dug out something that I mistakenly packed and needed desperately even though they were still unloading the first truck. He knew exactly where it was which blew me away! Everything arrived safe and sound, no scratches, and nothing broken. They were so helpful in every way. Moving is so stressful even if it's only across town.
