Pleasantly surprised by this sushi place, the experience was really great. The quality of the ingredients is good and everything was very delicious. They have a conveyor belt for added fun but most of the time they just bring you the dishes. The portions are big and prices are fair. Staff are very friendly and hard working, interior is beautifully decorated and clean.

Wow, Go Go has gone All You Can Eat! I had to come and try it out. I started with a few appetizers. Edamame, Gyoza, Salmon Kama, chicken teriyaki, and shrimp tempura. Everything was delicious. Great sauce pairings. They have an excellent assortment of fish to try. All the essentials plus things like Blue Fin Tuna included in their base pricing (maybe not forever), so good! Two waitresses work together and were both amazing. The sushi chefs are busy in the center island making each order as quickly as they can. The team is certainly working well together to deliver a great experience. The ambiance of the restaurant is very upscale. The interior design with cherry trees adorning the center island creates a warmth felt immediately walking in and the music is vibrant keeping the night fun. Overall I think the offering all together is the new hottest place in Pasadena to go for AYCE. I look forward to coming back soon.

We were just passing by and saw this place. The food is affordable and delicious. I had the bento katsu chicken and it's the perfect portion. My husband and son enjoyed the variety of sushi they ordered.

I really enjoyed go go. I went at 3pm and I had the place to myself. The waitress and I had a really great conversation, she was super nice. I ordered the lobster crab roll and it was amazing. So much flavor. I could be wrong but there might have been crawfish in the roll as well. It was exactly what I needed. I would recommend this place and will be back

James the sushi chef and Grace the waitress were so kind! James was incredibly generous and gave me his chef's special so I could taste it and maybe order it next time. I asked for a custom salmon hand roll and he happily made it for me, even plating it with a cute little bug made from an orange. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming. Such a great experience! Will come again next time I'm in the area I HIGHLY recommend the Crispy Rice with Tuna. Delicious!!

10/10 sushi spot! Sushi is always fresh and tasty!! The flavors are always well-balanced and service is always quick and friendly. This has become a new favorite sushi spot even compared to more popular restaurants. I usually like to sit at the sushi bar in front of rotating belt you can see the chefs preparing plates. Service is always quick and very attentive. I like to order the salmon sashimi it's always cut thick and tastes very fresh. Along with the salmon, all the sashimi is very tasty. The double-double roll is my favorite! Along with a Kirin beer! Great sushi restaurant it's a hidden gem.

So glad we found this place so close to our home. Been having a mad craving for sushi and they more than took care of it. Definitely recommend the tiger roll and rainbow roll. So fresh and delicious. We will be going back quite often.

I liked it. Decent neighborhood sushi spot. Came in for a dinner with a friend after a class. Simple interior with plenty of seating. Plenty of seats along the rotating sushi bar, which apparently they don't use lol, at least while we were there. We got the eel special roll. I liked it, good size too. My friend got the tuna avocado and yellow tail cut rolls and said they were good and hit the spot if you're looking for a nice, simple roll. We also got the stuffed jalapenos. I liked those, they're like fancier jalapeno poppers. The menu is pretty big with sushi, bento, and rice bowls so I'll definitely be coming back to try more. They also have a happy hour 11:30a-3p so this would probably be a good spot to grab lunch too. Service was good. Friendly staff. Easy parking in the shopping center lot.

    Salmon and smelt egg.

My 2nd time here and I'll be back again. Good service. Knowledgeable staff. They have a moving conveyor belt at the sushi bar that reminds me of the Covid-killed Sushi Afloat in West Pasadena on the same street (Colorado Blvd.) I tried the Soju liqueur that @KenAbroad was treated to in Seoul Korea and I liked it. I also had shrimp tempura, Salmon sushimi, and smelt egg. The ambiance is very nice for parties.

Food was amazing! We ordered 4 different rolls and each one was delicious. The rolls were fresh. The place was very clean, nicely decorated and service was excellent. Definitely will be back! We found our new sushi spot

The ownership changed and it became much more upscale. It's delicious.

Ambiance is super cute, love the little flags over the sushi/shabu bar and the art on the walls adds to the Japanese restaurant feel. The aroma when you walk in is mouthwatering (I was really hungry) but it doesn't smell fishy like some sushi places can. Staff is unbelievably great, super friendly and helpful if you have any questions about the menu or want recommendations. Don't be afraid to ask what the MP is on omakase, they totally work with what you're looking to spend or based on how many pieces of sushi you want to eat. Now for the real reason to visit Osawa: the food is absolutely amazing!!! Fresh, tasty, perfectly portioned. From the shishito peppers appetizer to the sushi, sashimi, hand rolls, and shabu; I cannot recommend this place enough! They have plenty of sake options to pair with your meal as well as beer or specialty cocktails if that's your preference. They offer to explain your order when it arrives which is great for those newer to sushi or just trying something different. Seriously, some of those fish practically melt in your mouth. I personally haven't ordered any rolls yet but they absolutely look delicious. If you're looking for a good sushi date spot, this. is. it. It's also good for a small group, maybe up to five or so before you feel cramped. Shabu is seated at the bar and their meats and veggie are delicious and fresh, enhanced by the tasty broth. It's even good on a summer day because they have solid air conditioning. Cannot say enough good things about Osawa. Go try it for yourself. :)

After more than a year away, I decided to give Osawa another try on May 8, 2026. Unfortunately, the experience confirmed why I had stopped coming. Around 9:02 p.m., my waiter came by to ask for last orders. I ordered chicken karaage. This is a simple dish that usually comes out in about 4 to 5 minutes. For whatever reason, the order did not arrive until around 9:26 p.m. -- almost 25 minutes later. It seemed obvious that the order had been forgotten. When the karaage finally arrived, it looked hastily sauced. Several parts of the chicken were unsauced, which is not how the dish was normally served in the past. Given the delay and the apparent mishandling, I did not touch the dish. A Japanese male manager wearing glasses then came over. He recognized me, and I explained that I had not been back for more than a year because of the food poisoning incident from fish in 2025. Instead of responding seriously, the manager smiled and giggled slightly, then launched into an irrelevant conversation about his connections in the Japanese food industry in Old Town Pasadena. When he asked why I had not touched the chicken, I explained the almost 30-minute delay and the problems with the dish. Rather than comping the item or offering a real apology, the manager asked whether I still wanted to eat it or would prefer to cancel it. He then ended the conversation by suggesting that I come in during weekday lunch for the $18 lunch specials. That response was bizarre and tone deaf. I did not return after a food poisoning incident to hear a sales pitch about lunch specials. I returned as a longtime customer giving Osawa another chance. Osawa's way of doing business has changed a lot. I've seen better customer service at Erewhon.

It was clear that the chef put a lot of thought into each bite. I will say that the restaurant has a dark/intimate ambiance since it's lit by the candles at your table. My table ordered 2 trust me's and 1 nozawa trust me. You're served with a plate of edamame and then each fish one by one. They wait for the entire table to finish eating the plate in front of you before going back to the kitchen to let them know when to prepare to following dish. The fish literally feels like it melts in your mouth. You get a chance to chew but then everything else melts in your mouth. The sushi rice they use is magnificent. When the sushi comes out, the rice is so warm and the fish on top is cold and it's honestly an amazing experience in your mouth.

The menu here is very extensive, ranging from sushi rolls, sushi, ramen, udon, standard sushi apps, bento boxes, etc. Our orders were taken pretty quick, service I'd say was around a 7/10. We were checked on a couple times but seem like the staff weren't fully paying attention as I asked for some extra utensils and my partner asked for the other dishes that our order comes with but they were all forgotten, requiring a 2nd request before receiving our items. Other than that, service was pretty good. It was great that the staff was friendly and quick. -- WHAT WE ORDERED -- Cheese Bulgogi ($25) Rainbow Roll ($18) Mango Cha Cha Roll ($20) Lemon Salmon Roll ($19) Salmon Bento Box ($21) Out of all the rolls, the Mango Cha Cha is the standout. From the pictures posted, it seem to be the most unique roll and the most popular roll to try. Highly recommend trying this as it has a great flavoring balance between the ingredients and the mango on top. MUST TRY!!!! The cheese bulgogi is also pretty underrated. Although a bit on the expensive side, if you like both combined, this is the dish for you. Love the variation of the dish, and it was also cooked to perfection. The bento box is great as well, presented very nicely, and portion is huge I'd say. A great box to eat on the go or at the restaurant. Not too expensive as well.

Although my husband felt that the amaebi was slightly slimy and wished that they served the hot sake in a way that kept the drink warm (you're probably wondering how I managed to survive his critical standards--you and me both!), everything else did not miss a beat. We noticed other customers were enjoying the omakase--the premium at the bar is $250 pp and the "lower" tier table omakase is $185 pp. everything looked delicious but I am also a control freak and enjoy being able to select what I want. With that perspective, the chirashi really was the way to go for me (and next time I'll just add on another order of uni!).
