Oh my gosh! This place has delicious food! It's upstairs in the Mitsuwa Market. The curry is so rich and delicious, portions are generous and the price is fair. My friend and I split the pork katsu curry plate. You get to pick how much rice you want with it. We picked one scoop. The katsu was juicy and tender on the inside and had a perfect crunchy coating on the outside. We ordered a little cup of homemade Rakkyo peeled yuzu, which seemed a little pricey at $3.00 for maybe an ounce. It was a small cut up shallot that had been marinated in yuzu and probably a little sugar. The tartness was the perfect accompaniment to the rich curry and fried pork. It was absolutely delicious! Please build one in San Diego!

Excellent katsu curry! Surprised this place isn't packed. We were within walking distance so we walked over for our first dinner in Waikiki. I got the double katsu curry ($19). Katsu was nice a crispy and not oily. Curry had a nice kick to it. Highly recommend this place if you are craving curry.

Got the Go Go Home Run Plate to go go from Go Go Curry in Mitsuwa Market's food court...on Kuhio Avenue, at the International Marketplace Home Run...because it's nearing the home stretch for MLB and my Red Sox look pretty good. It consists of pork or chicken katsu, Arabiki sausage, shrimp katsu ( which I swapped out for a second sausage ) and a whole boiled egg; all covered with enough BBC - Big Brown Curry from Kanazawa- but with an extra order of curry it is now smothered. Best curry in Oahu. It came out to just under $25 but for Waikiki and the portion - I was hungry - it was worth it. Go Go Curry and their BBC. Chee hoo.

When you are missing Japanese curry, then come here. It's located within Mitsuwa market place in The International Market Place. They validate as long as you spend $25 - which is why I got the grandslam. They offer 15% off for Kamaaina. It's a nice little spot and there are tables for you to eat. The girl who took our orders was very fast and the food came out fast as well. Although not completely authentic, I still prefer this rich savory curry over curry house. The grand slam came with chicken and pork tonkatsu, sausage, boiled egg and shrimp tempura. I think it was a great value for the price and the taste was great. It does have a little kick. I think the one thing that is missing are the pickled radish. However, I'd still go back.

Came with some friend to check this place out, they validate your parking if you spend $25 or more. First hour is free, second hour is $3. Food is pricey, however they give a good amount. You're able to make your own combo plate by adding different sides so that was a plus. Cashier was quick and friendly. Drinks you're able to buy from the store go go curry is located in.

Located in the food court of Mitsuwa Marketplace on the 2nd floor of the International Market Place near the Target is this location of Go! Go! Curry! There's plenty of seating, the menu is straightforward there either chicken or pork katsu, you also can have no protein if you'd like. I got the Home Run which comes with a shrimp tempura, a sliced boiled egg, and a link of sausage. The service was great, swift and polite. Accordingly to the signage they've been in Japan for +20 years, and it takes over 55 hours to make their curry. I was lucky enough to try this franchise during a YEE a few years ago before the pandemic, sadly the Houston location is now closed. I am happy to say my experience here was just as good as it was a few years ago. The chicken katsu is so crisp, light, the chicken is pounded thin and the curry sauce has a slight spice, rich, and very well balanced. I like how the cabbage provides a fresh and crunchy contrast to the meal. The sausage link was rich, slightly smokey and the egg rounded out the meal. The shrimp tempura was so crisp, they definitely know how to do tempura here. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and hope to find something similar back home.

We dropped by GGC for an early dinner. GGC is inside Mitsuwa in IMP, has been in business for 20 yrs (orig in Japan), and has 100 locations worldwide. I believe they cook the sauce for 5 hrs, then after it cools they refrigerate it for 55 hours to intensify the flavor. I ordered the medium sig pork katsu. Size refers to the amount of rice, not the amount of meat. However, you can get combo chicken/pork katsu, or either katsu w/ sausage & egg, if you want more protein. The katsu was nicely fried and the meat was tender. The sauce is very strong and brown in color vs the golden color we are used to in the US. The sauce is a tad spicy and a bit tart from the ginger: I really like the sauce. GGC is one of two restaurants in the food court. Both serve beer. There are also dedicated restrooms for customers only. The service was friendly & fast. You order at the counter, and your number is called when your food is ready. GGC is a great casual option in overpriced, and often mediocre Waikīkī. But I am glad more tourists don't know about it.

Maybe I set my hopes up too high but eating at Go Go Curry felt underwhelming to say the least. I think the pork katsu and the curry tasted decent... but there are plenty of other establishments on island that have better-tasting curry and pork katsu. I can't put my finger on what's lacking but it doesn't feel as satisfying to eat. Maybe it was a combination of the breading not being as crispy as I'd like and the curry not having that umami taste. I got my order fairly quick - about a 10 min. wait, and ate inside the food court. I do wish that Mitsuwa Marketplace cleaned the chairs in the food court more often because all of the chairs were visibly dirty. Key notes: Go Go Curry does not accept cash, card only. You'll need a code to enter into the bathrooms.

Nice Japanese curry spot located at the back of the Mitsuwa Marketplace grocery store on the second floor of International Marketplace in Waikiki. I love getting the katsu curry here! The food is made fresh and is really good! And the best part? The prices are reasonable especially for Waikiki! I always stop by here for lunch at least once when I'm in town. Highly recommended!

Go go curry is inside of Mitsuwa market in the international market place in Waikiki. The curry is dark in color and very flavorful. For curry loving folks like me, you're in luck! You can order side curry! There are different types of protein you can order such as tempura, chicken cutlet, pork tonkastu, side egg, and side mini sausage. My friend and I tried the super big curry meal with the 4 cutlets on it just for fun. It was a great value for $40ish and we brought the leftovers home. Service is prompt and quick. Just be sure to listen for your number. You have to carry your own food to an available table after placing your order at the cash register. Parking can be a challenge due to the $25 spending fee to receive validation. Happy eating and yelping folks!

This popular chain opened up in Mitsuwa taking over the Kanazawa curry spot. The curry was really good but I miss the old spot. The curry flavor is about the same, and it's really rich in flavor if you haven't had it before. It just has a hint of spice to it too. The pork katsu is very thin, which can be good depending on your preference, but I would've like a slightly thicker cut. The eggs look like halves but are really sliced up. Overall it was really good and I would get it again, but I do miss the old place. And don't forget that you need to spend $25 to get validated parking (can be combined with other purchases in Mitsuwa).

***4.5 STARS*** I've seen many pop ups at Mitsuwa Marketplace where popular establishments would occupy stalls here. The current buzz is Go Go Curry (GGC), a popular Japanese curry chain that started in 2003 and has expanded to 70 locations throughout Japan and has multiple US locations (New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Texas). They started at Mitsuwa on September 20, 2024. GGC got its name from popular Japanese baseball players Hideki Matsui, who hails from Ishikawa Prefecture and played professional baseball for Yomiuri Giants and New York Yankees where his jersey number was "55", which is "go go" in Japanese. The founder of GGC is Hirokazu Miyamori, another Ishikawa Prefecture native where he was huge fan of Hideki Matsui. GGC boasts its 55 steps of preparation, 5 hours of cooking and marinate for another 55 hours. This results in a dark, rich, unique black colored curry. It's served over Japanese premium Koshihari rice and paired with your choice of toppings. My family and I really wanted to try GGC but it's difficult for us to sync our hectic schedules. I was recently touched where favorite niece and favorite nephew by default wanted to dine together with me at GGC so I made the effort to change my schedule just so we could trek over to Waikiki for dinner last night. To be frank I'm not a fan of katsu curry as I see it at my part time job all the time but GGC's black appearance really got my attention. I was planning of getting your standard curry but family were interested in trying the World Champion (2 chicken katsu 2 tonkatsu 4 sausage 2 shrimp 2 egg). There's 5 of us and I didn't think was enough so I added a whole bunch of toppings and extras to ensure there was a sufficient volume. I decided to ask the staff how large the sides are (i.e. curry sauce, fukujinzuke) to properly order for my family. The next thing I knew, I ordered sides that equaled the dollar amount of the World Champion. I have no self control. LOL... While waiting for our food, we sat down and noticed Taiga Ramen, where I began studying their menu and ordered more food. Family noticed the World Champion placed on the counter so I stood up and made my way back to GGC. Shortly after I saw the staff with a tray of metal plates, utensils and the sides that I ordered. We took our food back and after snapping a few photos it was finally time to dig in. THE VERDICT: I've never had GGC previously so I didn't know what to expect. Indeed, the dark colored curry is rich and packed with flavor. It paired nicely with the Koshihikari rice. I was mixed on their sides. They were made to order as the protein was temperature hot. However, I wasn't a fan of the chicken katsu and tonkatsu as they were thin and lacked substance. The fried shrimp was probably the best topping for me. The boiled eggs were fully cooked and soft but I would have preferred jammy eggs. Getting extra curry sauce was the right thing to do as we found ourselves dunking the protein in the curry sauce and adding more curry sauce on the rice. The counter staff was friendly and patient as she answered all of our questions. We were given extra plates and utensils without asking for them. Overall, an above average experience at GGC where I'd be game for a return visit. The food quality exceeded my expectations and had a wonderful evening with my family in Waikiki. NOTE: Validation provided for 1 hour only. It's $2 per 30min thereafter at IMP.

My boyfriend ordered the spicy beef shabu shabu with spinach, mushrooms, and udon. The broth had a really nice kick -- flavorful, warming, and not overwhelmingly spicy. The beef was tender and paired perfectly with the fresh vegetables and chewy udon noodles. I went with the shrimp tempura udon, and it hit the spot.
