Really good ramen, reminds me of the ramen I had in San Diego. The wings were also super juicy

Good place for moderately priced ramen. Probably the cheapest ramen on Waikīkī. The shoyu and miso ramen were good and the portions were big.

Some ramen after a swim at the pool. Such a fulfilling meal. The gyoza was really good with the sauce & we also got some Takoyaki that was also cooked very well. I personally enjoyed my ramen, the broth was nice and light and flavorful. Omg yum. The wait for our ramen wasn't too long and we love that it's in the mitsuwa market place because we get to grab a few other things while we're there.

You don't want to miss the awesome selection of ramen at this small restaurant in the rear of the Mitsuwa marketplace in the royal Hawaiian center. The service was excellent and my spicy miso ramen was some of the best. Prices are definitely reasonable for the area.

Delicious Tan Tan with lots of vegetarian options! Great "cheap eat" choice- filling and soothing! Nothing beats a hot bowl of ramen with tasty broth! Not crowded- plenty of seats for the family!

Legit ramen place. Loved the clean very tasty broth and the texture of the thin ramen! Highly recommend this spot in this small food court.

This place seriously hit the spot. The ramen was amazing--the broth had so much flavor, the noodles had the perfect chew, and the toppings were generous. The chashu was super tender and the egg was cooked just right. Easily one of the best bowls I've had in a while. We also tried the chicken karaage, which was crispy on the outside and juicy inside (definitely recommend a squeeze of lemon), and the gyoza, which were perfectly pan-fried and tasty. And they've got cold draft beer, which just makes everything better. The fact that it's inside Mitsuwa makes it even better--you get that fun food court vibe, then you can walk around and shop for snacks after. Definitely a spot I'll come back to when I'm craving ramen.

Taiga ramen is a very solid option for any body looking to scratch their ramen itch of the Shoyu category. This being my second lunch of the day, I went and ordered the Shoyu in the hopes this broth was less heavy than their other options like the spicy, tan tan or miso profiles and I think it was. Despite being lighter, this broth was flavor packed. The one thing like another reviewer mentioned was the noodles were very generic. However, this is that simple, safe option for ramen whenever you're in the mood but may not know what exactly it is that you want. The broth, and toppings will more than satisfy the innate yearning for some warm, comforting food if that's what you need. When I get the chance I will be coming back for some of their other options. But if you're in mitsuwa or even nearby I'd say go and check it out!

Located at mitsuwa marketplace in international food court. Parking for international marketplace: A minimum purchase of $25.00 at any merchant is required for validation. Validation is offered by all stores and restaurants. Standard parking rate - $4.00 per 30 minutes Rates with Validation: First Hour - Free Second Hour - $2.00 Third Hour - $2.00 After the third hour, standard rates apply. Which isn't too bad some places in Waikiki are $3 per half hour. Great ramen, we love the tan tan ramen it's a rich broth and completely different from gomatei which we are used to. Also their chicken Karaage is one of the best, very ligit Karaage that you would be getting from a street vendor in Japan! Added the egg and cooked perfectly still runny inside and not cooked through! I think the chicken was $5 add on and egg was $3 add on lol by the end it was $25 but worth it! Service is also great same guy we saw working there the two times we went and he validated our parking too! Inside mitsuwa there's also Gogo curry right next door, a wagyu bento bowl spot and seating food court style, Bathrooms are also located in mitsuwa but looks like they locked it up now and you need to ask for the code. You could also buy some sushi, bentos, sashimi at mitsuwa and sit down and eat, show your state ID for Kama'aina discount!

Delicious!! Hidden inside a Japanese market on the second floor. Fresh veggies. Tofu was amazing!! Best ramen I've ever had.

On our most recent visit to Waikiki, my fam and made our way to Mitsuwa Marketplace on the 2F of International Market Place (IMP) to try out Go Go Curry that caused an interest after seeing them on social media. After we ordered our food, my eyes wandered to next door Taiga Ramen (TR), where I started to study their menu as I feared I didn't order enough at Go Go Curry. TR boasts Nagoya style ramen, also known at Spicy Taiwan ramen with components of chicken broth, spicy oil and stir fried minced pork. If not the same, this is similar to Tan Tan ramen. I saw food pics that looked promising so I took the plunge by ordering some ramen. My family wanted to try the Tsukemen and I went with my selection of the Spicy Ramen. I paid for my food and waited to be called. It didn't take too long for our food to be ready and added snapping photos, it was time to dig in. Hands down the favorite was the spicy ramen. It had a decent spicy kick and very flavorful - - loved the broth and the stir fried minced pork. The noodles had a great texture where to me, this bowl was flawless. I'd order this again in a heart beat. However, we were sadly disappointed with the tsukemen. The broth lacked depth and it appeared to be just regular broth. It was clear and simple and didn't stand out - - lacked richness and depth. The noodles were just regular ramen noodles, not the thick noodles that were are accustomed to. The bowl was loaded with bean sprouts (not to my liking) and we were all disappointed. Underwhelming and don't recommend. Service was very friendly and the stall was clean and bright. I appreciated the staff explaining IMP doesn't allow stacking of validation. So, if you patronize multiple businesses within IMP, you are only allowed to use one validation sticker. Overall, mixed feelings at TR where we batted 0.500. I wouldn't mind for a return visit where I'd be sure to order the spicy ramen again and add on a side dish.

Tan Tan Ramen. Would eat this every day if I could

I stumbled upon Taiga Ramen while needing a shopping break in Waikiki and was not disappointed! Although clearly anecdotal, for some reason Japanese supermarkets always seem to house stellar restaurants tucked away in some far corner. Taiga Ramen does not buck this trend: It's located the very back of the Mitsuwa at the International Market Place next to a curry joint. It's renowned for their Nagoya-style ramen. I got their Tan Tan ramen with its rich sesame seed based broth - the first time I've had this style. The broth was mind-blowing, and I savored every last drop of it. The noodles were light and balanced both the broth and meat. I found myself dreading finishing the bowl. And several times on my vacation, I jumped on Yelp! to see their hours of operation to get my fix. The service is prompt and professional. The ambiance is not why you're coming here: It's in the back of a grocery store. Don't miss Taiga Ramen the next time you're in Waikiki.

Ramen-ticize your life with Taiga Ramen. Taiga Ramen hit the spot when we came to visit. It was raining and we were hungry! It's located inside Mitsuwa Marketplace. We wanted to use the restroom and wash our hands before placing our orders. I asked for the bathroom key and the young man on the counter (there was a young lady with him) told me they didn't have a public restroom. I saw the sign to the restroom and we were there to eat. I can understand that it's not open to public unless you're dining in BUT perhaps a different approach would have been better...something to train your staffs. He saw me looking at the menu...two people in our group even sat down while waiting. I even told my brother out loud to use the bathroom and that we should also grab our drinks from the store. There were 6 of us! I'm disappointed but I'll give this place a four star for their food not for their service. It lacks a human sense. We ordered Tantan Ramen. It's their signature sesame broth with chili oil, pork, bean sprouts, bok choy and chopped onions. The broth had nice flavor and the spice was well seasoned. We tried the Shio Ramen. It's the salt ramen with bean sprouts, chasu pork, bamboo shoots, seaweed and green onions. This ramen was a little salty. Our third ramen was the Hokkaido Ramen. Its was a flavorful ramen with chasu pork, corn, bamboo shoots and green onions. All of our ramen had boiled eggs. We also tried their takoyaki. This was packed with flavors. This is probably why I'm giving a 4 stars. If you're hungry for ramen, whether it's hot or cold, come check them out. Give them a try and hopefully the staff is a little friendlier to their next customers. Thank you for reading my review. Have a great weekend!
