l moved here from Southern Maryland last weekend, here for a year( ( maybe longer!) went to the small restaurant/ cafe 2 days ago LOVED the mini and the Mod Scooter! Been in the Ststes for 20 years coming from West Yorkshire. I have to say l enjoyed my Fish n Chips and Strongbow Cider! Happy little place felt " at home" . was told there was another one in the Boardwalk so you know l had to go for dinner 2 days later! All l can say is " Wow" felt right at home! Loved my fish n Chips and mushy peas! Then of course my Strongbow Cider! Lived the music, even bought some glasses and a t. shirt! We felt so welcome at both places. I visited Rehoboth Beach for the first time Saturday June 06th, and it was the some of the BEST food and service I HAVE EVER RECEIVED at a restaurant. You had to make reservations, and the gentleman at the door took our names down and asked us to come back when the restaurant first opened. When we came back, we were seated and immediately greeted by Karli. She was absolutely a sweetheart. We ordered the shrimp appetizer, and when it came out, it was fresh and piping hot. I accidentally ordered the wrong one, and when I let Karli know, she offered to comp the appetizer for the right one, but I refused. It was my fault, plus it was delicious, and my sister had already eaten half of it. :) As we ate our appetizers, we saw the couple across from is keep sending their food back, and having Karli take the meals off their bill. Yet, they had already eaten a good amount of the entrees. Needless to say, Karli never lost her cool and was still extremely polite with them. When our food came out... I ordered the battered sausage and chips, and my sister ordered the fish and chips. The food was amazing, hot, fresh, and full of flavor. I had mentioned that it was my birthday, and Karli went on to say she was excited that I chose to spend it there. That made my day. For dessert, we had the sticky toffee pudding cake. While checking out, we decided to purchase some items in the gift area. The gentleman who was working the desk was also very friendly, and washed out the mug that I had purchased before he wrapped it up. I went here with my British boyfriend. It's cute outside and inside with the subway signs is clever. But this is not even close to the fish and chips quality I have had in England and Wales. Ambiance/Decor/Atmosphere: Diner setting with Union Jack flying all over the place among other British inspired decorations. Colors also represent that of Union Jack which is great because this is a ode to a British pub. Nice clean brick wall deco covered with British pop culture and other historical items to make you feel like you're actually dining in the UK. Noise/sound level: Inside is not too large but also not puny but sound doesn't travel so conversation with your mates won't be deterred by other patrons on the other side of the restaurant. Menu: On the smaller medium size comprised of popular British fare you can and cannot get elsewhere, with variations of such. Beer battered sausage comes to mind. Service: The staff is warm, welcoming, friendly, and genuinely happy you're here for a meal. Ticket times are not sluggish either. Food: Ordered tandoori chicken skewers and the fish and chips dinner. Honestly, the food isn't that good despite these numerous glowing reviews. The tandoori chicken is tandoori in name only and almost an offense to true tandoori chicken. The product was hammered with cumin and not even cooked over coals to slightly represent tandoor style of cooking. Taste was ok but the cumin is heart burn inducing. And, despite bringing out a gigantic whale of a portion of frozen pollock, the meal was drowning in oil. The fish and fries were both greasy; fish was crunchy but some parts had more fish than batter and vice versa. The fries are not hand cut, no skin and tiny pieces lend to believe they came from a freezer bag. Tartar sauce is from a jar, cole slaw is also from a jar tasting like what you can get from Smyrna diner. Both wifey and I have heart burn from this meal and realize we can do better at home. Bar: Full bar with beer, wine, liquor. Price: Price is fair considering you're visiting a tourist trap. Portion size is pretty big for the dollar spent. Overall: Three stars because the service was great. Visited Rehoboth last year and wanted to come here since I first saw the flag, but the food doesn't live up to the hype presented by Trip Advisor or Yelp. I'd never return because this kind of fish and chips can be easily recreated in any home at any time without heart burn. read more

Ate here for the 1st time on a quick trip to the boardwalk at Rehoboth. We got mostly fish and chips and a sampler platter. It's probably the best fish and chips i've had in a long time. The sampler platter was also good with large portions. If I go here though, I'm going for the fish and chips. Staff were friendly and helped us with whatever we needed. A very tight place so if you have large groups it probably wont work. We had three young children which made it tricky as well. I would go back in a heartbeat. read more

Wow, what a great experience today at Go Fish! We were walking around near the boardwalk and were starving, looking for something good to eat! We stopped in and had a pleasant experience; it was also our first time. The waitress, Salena was super friendly and not the just being friendly because I'm at work but she was genuinely just super friendly! I appreciate that! The service was fast and the food was delicious! We kept it simple and got the fish and chips which I would think is what most people go for when they visit! The fish was super fresh and crispy! It wasn't over fried and just had this really delicious, fresh taste. It also was a nice size! It came with amazing fries, and coleslaw which I usually don't eat but I actually tried it and it was pretty good! I was given the choice of tartar or cocktail and after asking for both, Salena was happy to fulfill my request! Really delicious! $26 dollars for crab stuffed jumbo shrimp. I didn't get any jumbo shrimp and only about 1/2 teaspoon of crab meat on each medium shrimp, no lump meat to be found. Avoid this place. We have been going here since they opened, but we will not be going back. read more

My husband loved the fish & chips, my son (toddler) loved his fish nuggets, the dips for the chips/fries were delicious, and the Fisherman's Pie (seafood take on Shepherd's Pie) was so, so good. Even the batter was overcooked. We asked for one order to include grilled asparagus. Big mistake. Paid extra for 4 little skinny pieces of dried up "grilled" asparagus. Really? The other order gave us smashed peas instead of french fries. The peas were good, but we had to go to Thrashers for fries. They should be embarrassed that these meals were sold to regular customers. Wasn't much to look at on the outside. They had a walk up window and dine-in so we went in. It wasn't crowded. Small on the inside about 5 booths and 5 tables. We were greeted and seated immediately. They were pleasant and quick to assist. I ordered the beer battered fish sandwich with onion rings. Orders came out quick. It was all so flavorful, fresh and delicious. We loved it! Swung in while shopping the Rehoboth downtown area on a cold rainy night during the Holiday season. Coming in, we were overwhelmed with a feeling of "Rule Britannia!" by all of the British decor. The menu is fully British, exactly what you would expect in a chip shop. Cleanliness is perfect, with the floors, tiles, and every surface gleaming. No funny smells here, either. We were the only customers for a bit (and I think only 1 person was working, so that was good!), but our food came out promptly, and cooked to perfection. I've had many different versions of fish & chips but this would have to be my favorite. Not too heavy a batter and good flavor. The fries that came with it were also very delicious and very different. The clam chowder had a good flavor but a little too salty. It had many many clams in it, which is a plus!!! Only complaint was the service was subpar. Waitress probably didn't spend more than 1-2 seconds when talking to our table except to take out order and she seemed to be much nicer to other tables. Came here twice for dinner and had a good time! Not the biggest or most entertaining place to eat but they had quick friendly service and the food was good. My kids loved their crab cake and fish nuggets. I had the fish and Caesar salad special which was great. Imagine your grandmothers coleslaw she made for thanksgiving and every holiday meal. Yeah it's that good. Well I was feeling silly, so I ordered fish tacos. Now normally when you order fish tacos, small tortillas san diego style come out. This was a fish burrito. I wound up picking out the fish and eating it. I do not recommend this dish and it's the main reason the stars have come down. I know its a fish and chips place and I shouldn't veer off the menu, but a girl has to try sometimes right? I've never had the "real" thing, so I really don't have anything to compare it to, but I have to say I'd pass on that next time. The meal was decent...quick, hot, tasty and cheap. The beer was cold. Though it is moderately priced at $11 a plate, it is worth the fun British atmosphere and the best fish n' chips in the area. I haven't had good fish n' chips in awhile and then I found this gem stone. First, upon walking into this little corner restaurant along the busy main street walkway, you see a huge fish and British flag to welcome you in. I went with my mom and we were seated immediately. Our waiter was a real Brit. He had the whole "ex-Brit pop rocker" look going complete with authentic British accent and one silver Cross earring. We both ordered the Fish n' Chips. The beer battered cod fell apart as you stuck your fork in it. It was deliciousness the moment it touches your lips. The cool tartar sauce added a whole other succulent layer of satisfaction. The chips were crispy and brown on the outside and fluffy and white on the inside. It was a perfectly made dish and served in under 5 minutes. This place also has a variety of land lover's food as well such as beer battered fried chicken and cheesecake.
