The crabcake was all crab meat, but didn't have any lump meat. The fried shrimp was a little breast. Fries were really disappointing and not crispy at all. A little bit of England right there in the Lewes area of Delaware. This is a modern and fun place to grab a bite and get a little kick of Brit culture. From the scooter outside to the car inside, not to mention the "MIND THE GAP" sign and the cutout of the queen . . . it's also a fun place to stop and get a few photos while you enjoy some good food. The fish and chips are really good. Instead of chips, I ordered mine as the fish and Caesar salad. It was a nice little combination for $15. One person ordered the shepherd's pie for $14 and she loved it. All of us in our party who had eaten fish and chips in old pubs in England found these to be a decent match. Prices are good for the beach. You really do get to try authentic English dishes. They also have a mushy peas and a curry sauce on the sides menu. I haven't tried them, so I'll have to give them a go on my next visit. You can even get bangers and mash with gravy. I'm gobsmacked. This gets two thumbs up. Service is good. I stopped by here this past Tuesday for takeout for my family. Go Brit! wasn't our original intended dinner spot, but whenever another place in the same plaza accepted our online order and then wasn't open, I called an audible. So I phoned them up, placed the order and was told that it would be ready in 10 minutes. I walked in around 15 minutes later and my food was ready for us and the lady working there packed it up nicely. The inside of this restaurant unsurprisingly tries to feel British between the "mind the gap" sign, the beers that they offer and Union jacks hanging throughout. For dinner on this day both my wife and I decided to order the fish and chips while both of my in laws decided on the broiled lump crab cake sandwich. My fish and chips here ended up being quite a solid dinner. The fish was cooked nicely and even though the batter looked heavy, it was pretty light. I enjoyed dipping it in the tartar sauce to break up a little of the richness. Then the fries were crispy and I ended up dipping them in the accompanying malt vinegar which I loved and haven't done in years. My wife also enjoyed her fish, especially the batter. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. While it wasn't our original destination, it ended up being a good substitute. read more

What a great little restaurant. If you like British style fish-n-chips then this is your place. It's inside a small strip mall next door to a Verizon store. Strict COVID19 social distancing and masks being enforced. They offer take out but we decided to eat inside. Our server was very helpful and friendly. The decor is really done well. The fish-n-chips were great, beer battered, light and crunchy with a nice piece of fish. We didn't try the tartar sauce opting to have ours with malt vinegar instead. The bangers and mash were also very good. Mashed potatoes had some cheese in it. Of course, a real chippy serves mushy peas and theirs were spot-on. Five stars all around. Mushy peas were good, but not very flavorful. Excellent chips, and a good curry sauce. Although I was pleased to see Strongbow cider on the menu, when it was delivered (with bottle already open), I was disappointed to find it was the "golden apple" version, which is much sweeter. Had I known, I would have made a different choice. I also felt there were some cleanliness issues. The floor was sticky, and although tables were clean, they two were sticky.
