The corned beef was a winner.
Joshua W.

We wandered by this beautiful restaurant yesterday, and decided to come by for lunch. We started with a dozen oysters, and I ordered the corned beef and cannage, while my partner got a Mahi sandwich with a side salad. Oddly, the side salad was the first thing to come out, long before the oysters. The oysters were not that good, and very poorly shucked (still attached, one on the wrong half of the side, and drained of any liquid). They also didn't seem very fresh -- considering the area, that's shocking. They were served only with cocktail sauce and saltines. The crackers were actually stale. Lol. The corned beef was fairly good. Great flavour, good portion with a huge chunk of cabbage and a good portion of potatoes. It was a little drier than I prefer, but not bad. The Mahi sandwich was okay, but not good. A bit bland and dry, but passable. It really needed some kind of sauce. Although I would utterly avoid oysters, overall, not bad, but not great, particularly considering the price point. Probably wouldn't give it another try.

Kind of expected more from this place. My meal was good, but nothing extraordinary. The chicken and the pineapple salsa were good, but the coconut rice was kind of dry and could have used a sauce. The meal also came with another side, and I chose the Caesar salad. It came out much later than my entree (I had to ask for it multiple times) and it was not a good Caesar. The dressing was only on top of the salad, which I wasn't expecting. The restaurant itself was nice and had good atmosphere, but I'm not sure if I would return.

Epic Bloody Mary!

It was amazing! The view was fantastic, the service exceptional and the food was delish! We shared the tuna tacos and crab Mac n cheese. We also tried the Bloody Mary!! Go there if you get the chance!!

Peanut butter pie was made with so much love by the best bartender there! MARISSA! CORINNE IS AWESOME TOO!

The food was hot but very dry. Rueben and shepherds pie were disappointing but the crab dip was delicious

Waited 40 minutes. No one waited on us. Several customers who arrived after we did were waited on. Management needs improvement

Love the food, views and service. This is my weekly go-to in the densely crowded restaurant scene here in Lewes.

The food was very poor. The noise in the restaurant was ridiculously loud. The price was very high for the quality.

Full bar and was a fun place to hang out. I'm only giving it 3 stars based on the quality of food.

My wife and I used to work at an iconic eatery in phila called Taylor's country store and both of us looked at each other and said we get the same vibes. The decorations were just what you'd hope for in an eclectic little restaurant. Located on the edge of the villas maybe 15 mins from wildwood and cape May if you're visiting down the beach or shore don't sleep on this place. Now for the food we were looking for lunch we have our go to spots but wanted to change it up and I'm so glad my wife chose TBD. Has a great menu with something for everyone. I got a hot roast beef because it's one of my favorites. Side of fries hand cut. First the sandwich was everything I had hoped for I go a couple Roast beef sand places but this has shot to the top. Gravy on the side is how it came and it was just what the sand was meant for ciabatta roll soaked it up perfectly, no prob I'm not a fan of the disintegrating gravy sand I like to control the gravy. Roast beef was thick but not out of control thick, didn't need sharks teeth to bite through it. And not any gristle which definitely mattersHorseradish on the side a little bite not your make your nose run hot but hot enough. Hand cut fries delicious crispy hot and a perfect pairing to dip in the gravy. The pickle was exactly how you want a deli pickle to be crunchy fresh and sharp flavored w real dill I will say it again perfect . My wife had the burger it was huge tasty I know because I had half the right amount of everything. She chose the fresh homemade chips they were marvelous too I know because I grudgingly gave up a few fries to have some chips. It was big enough she said she would be skipping dinner. Anyway it's the kind of place you leave saying I can't wait to go back and try the other choices because you know they will all be made with culinary care and taste great. Don't step nod or miss this place. Being on weight watchers I know I'm gonna regret finding it, but you shouldn't it's on rt 47 the sign w the two black dogs sorry no pics of the food but I was hungry and scarfed it down before thinking

The food took forever - almost 50 minutes from when the appetizer was finished and the 3 sandwiches arrived. The server came over twice to tell us "it's almost ready" The food was burnt - dry - overall not great. No one in our group enjoyed it.

Irish Eyes Staff ~ All were attentive and eager to help. Really fun crowd... games were on, live music. Bartenders were great, handled our 6-8 person party with skill and friendliness... The single off-note was a young woman bartender, blonde hair, at the back deck bar (Fri & Sat eve, 8pm or so)... Super dismissive, rude at times, def a chip on her shoulder. She missed out on lots of tip $. Even rude to the women in our party. Interacted with her twice, separate evenings. Same both nights. We sort of felt like something was off, felt sorry for her, so we tipped well the first night. But 2nd night, same poor showing on her part. She lost the house $ as well, because we left earlier than we intended to. She is our only bad memory from an otherwise amazing weekend in Lewes. Moral of the story... Def stop at Irish Eyes... great place to take in a game... avoid whoever that bartender is!

Margaritas were tasty and big, but not strong. I ordered the grilled shrimp. It was a real PITA to get the shrimp off the 2 skewers. They were tasty, but the pineapple salsa was too spicy for me. Husband had seafood pasta, very good. We were pestered by flies as soon as our food arrived. This place might want to get some of those fly fans for the outdoor tables.

The bartender catered to the locals and had her little chitchat going. Do you restaurant owners not realize that there are people coming in and out of town at all times and on various days and we may work in service industries and maybe even the restaurants/hospitality industry I ordered whatever the burger is with the Gorgonzola cheese and it wasn't bad but it wasn't great. Between the burger the bun the tomato and the onion was hard to get your mouth around but it wasn't really worth it to stretch your mouth that far. You had a choice of fries or salad and I chose the fries. In all honesty I've been in Cape May for a week now and have eaten out nearly every day and had some outstanding fries and I would swear these were yesterday's fries if not yesterday's fries from somebody else's plate. I asked the bartender if these were the normal presentation of the fries she said "oh yes they're hand cut fries" my question would be hand cut when and fried when? They were overdone and mushy. . And after exchange the bartender adopted a pissy attitude. Here's my thing to the managers/owners of this establishment: I have worked in various forms in hospitality and customer service. I'm also an older person, consumer, frequent visitor of restaurants and bars. Take this however you will. It's a Tuesday afternoon... The servers and the service and the food should be exactly the fucking same as it is on Friday and Saturday night. Feel free to contact me if I said anything out of line. PS I'm an interim innkeeper in Cape May and I will definitely be steering people away from your restaurant even though I've had decent experiences in the past. There's too much competition out there for too few dollars. Smarten up
