Came here with friends for a birthday dinner, as it was one of the only sushi restaurants with a good amount of vegetarian sushi options (one of the group doesn't do fish, but loves good vegetarian sushi). It was a cool interior, nice sushi bar, and our server was fantastic- she even noticed the birthday when checking IDs and ended up bringing out an unprompted birthday dessert at the end! As far as the sushi, it was solid. Nothing mind-blowing, but everything was tasty. The only real critique I would offer is that nothing was spicy- and everything I ordered mentioned "spicy tuna", "spicy crab", etc. I love a nice kick of heat with my sushi, so that was the only slight disappointment. However, the cost for a party of four including drinks was a pleasant surprise! I have paid much more for much less. Might have to make this a go-to when I'm wanting sushi!

I have to thank Hannah for bringing the old guys to one of her favorite spots in Denver. Go Fish is a great sushi place in Denver with an extensive menu. I was slightly concerned when we arrived as there was no one inside, that quickly changed and as we were leaving, it was packed to the gills. The service was funny, quirky and our server was very patient with all the special orders. Go Fish has a dedicated vegetarian / vegan menu which deserves a star by itself. Thank you Go Fish team! Everyone's order looked and smelled amazing. There's no blandiness here. My eggplant and tofu rolls were good but seriously the stars of the table were everyone else's plates. Hannah's dinner was plated expertly and looked delicious. Another diner's bowl was huge and the flavors in the steam was delightful. Two other diner's had stunning plated sushi. Overall, this was a great experience for all of us.

I finally came for Happy Hour. They offer it weekdays from 2pm-6pm and Fri-Sat 10pm-2am. I sat the Sushi Bar. I noticed several items not available during lunch, otherwise prices were reduced. I got a 12oz draft of Kirin beer for $5, the Ahi Tuna salad ($10) and the Chicken Karaage ($8). The beer was excellent. Plenty of chicken pieces with a spicy dipping sauce. The Ahi Tuna salad was misadvertised. I got 4 pieces of Ahi Tuna over a few leaves of greens. No mixed greens, tomato or cucumber. The tuna was buttery. I was still hungry, so I added the Volcano roll from the regular menu for $16. I was served by Riski P. He was quick. The dining area was clean and well cooled.

Go fish has the absolutely hands down best vegan/ vegetarian sushi menu that I have seen at a non vegan restaurant. They have some amazing combinations including a green chili sushi?! That being said, the gluten free options are sparse and they do not have a separate menu so you must ask for any item you are interested in. The staff was not very knowledgeable on this either so if you have celiac I might avoid or be ready to interact with the kitchen. They do only use a shared fryer as well. But they do carry soy paper and tamari! I did really enjoy the few rolls I was able to try, the eggplant roll was a showstopper and I adored the tofu pockets. My spouse loved the spicy edamame and their rolls. This is a great place to bring all types of sushi lovers! In the future I would LOVE to see allergen markings or a separate allergen menu available to customers!!

Really friendly and knowledgable staff. Our server Matt would always make sure to leave behind the sauce from every dish without us having to ask, which we appreciated. The menu items had some unique pairings and names I haven't seen before. The place offered outdoor seating as well as indoor options. Tons of parking was available in the back as well. Inside felt very moody with the lighting and well spaced out between tables. It was quite busy when we went but the service for even just our appys felt quite slow. Other than that the food was good and the desserts are not to be missed! They partnered with neighbouring dessert shop "Sweet Action" to create their ice cream dessert which I thought was a great idea.

This was our first time and it being Sunday we were unable to get the happy hour or weekly specials. The service was quick and friendly. The place looks small but has ample seating indoor and out. I liked that we could see the sushi chef and cook in the back. The rolls were make to order and you can tell everything is fresh and crisp. They were filled with amazing ingredients and very tasty... the rolls are a must! I'm glad we went in and will try again next time we're in Denver!

We stumbled across this place after the one across the street had floating wait times and we were getting hungry, glad we stopped in! The server was very friendly and we were sat right away at about 7:50. Their mostly sushi but I was happy to find some of my favorites that aren't sushi like Hamachi Kama and Chicken Karaage. Their Amazing roll is pretty amazing as well. We also got the tempura which was pretty good as well. Pricing is reasonable and you can find something to fit your budget.

Go Fish has stood the test of time and has proven to be a reliable spot for sushi. Prices are right with no rolls over $20. You never leave here hungry. I've never strayed away from the sushi. They do have appetizers, kitchen items like fried rice and tempura dishes, and desserts. I've always been in a sushi mood here. They do have a vegetarian/vegan menu as well! And to be honest, we've never been disappointed. Here are the specialty rolls I ordered last time we dined in a few weeks back. +Fantasy Roll // spicy salmon, crunch, masago, avocado, mango, topped with seared togarashi salmon and white tuna, crispy rice puff, eel sauce, wasabi mayo. +Triple X Roll // spicy yellowtail, spicy tuna, crunch, jalapeño, topped with seared tuna, garlic chips, eel sauce, house sauce. Dependable sushi here at Go Fish. It's right on the main drag of Broadway on a lively corner, so expect to see some type of action while you're here. Once you're inside, you'll be taken care of. Weather permitting, sit outside on the patio!

I've now been to MAKfam Meta Asian Kitchen twice, and I can officially say this place has moved…read morefrom "really enjoyed it" to "I should probably stop pretending I won't be back again soon." Let's start with the jianbing. It's built on a scallion pancake base, which is a bit thicker than the more traditional version I'm used to, but honestly, I'm not mad about it. It's sturdy, flavorful, and generously loaded with steak. This is not a dainty, whisper-thin breakfast crepe. This is a confident, well-fed jianbing that wants you to be happy and full. The pork belly deserves its own moment. Actually, maybe a standing ovation. It's incredibly tender, deeply flavorful, and clearly treated with care. I had it in the spicy noodles and again in a bao bun, and both times it was excellent. Rich without being heavy, indulgent without tipping into too much. Pork belly doing exactly what pork belly is supposed to do. Now let's talk about the mala wings. These wings are spectacular. Like, "what every chicken wing dreams of becoming when it grows up" spectacular. Crispy, bold, numbing in all the right ways, and dangerously addictive. If you order one thing here, make it these. If you don't order these, I gently question your life choices. I also really appreciate MAKfam's unapologetic embrace of MSG. No fear, no fuss, just smart, thoughtful use of an ingredient that exists to make food delicious. And guess what? It works. Everything is savory, balanced, and satisfying without feeling overdone. Bottom line: this is a genuinely fun place to eat. The food has personality, confidence, and heart. From an Asian fusion perspective, it absolutely delivers, and it's easy to see why they've earned their Michelin mention.

Told 35-40 min wait to start the night and ended up waiting for slightly over an hour. This led to some subpar dishes ordered such as the Boa buns with stewed pork & spicy noodles that weren't spicy. The highlights were the scallion pancakes (small portion despite paying typical price) and the wings which were 5 out of 5 with big flavor & came ripping hot. Don't understand the hype on this place at all. The line got to 29 parties and the food is fine at best (besides the wings). Personally would not come back but the wings saved the night so GET THEM

Does the service make things easy? Do you suddenly regret needing the restroom halfway through the conversation? That's where Karma gets complicated. It's right on Broadway, in the middle of everything, and it clearly has a loyal following. The room is dark, funky, and full of objects, screens, carved wood, fish tanks, statues, gongs, and a general kitschy style. There is a version of that I usually like. Older restaurants can have character. A little weirdness can be charming. But dated and cared for is one thing. Dated and not especially clean is another. The service was genuinely friendly, and that deserves credit. Everything came out quickly and hot, which is always a big plus. The food itself was fine. The edamame was predictable and perfectly acceptable. The gyoza were not especially exciting and were rather bland, though apparently not bland enough to stop me from eating more than my share because, well, carbs. The pad Thai with tofu was decent, a little sweet, and a curious color. Not offensive. Not memorable. The bigger issue was the condition of the space. Some of the photos show it better than I can describe it. The vents were giving off some serious ick, and a few areas felt like they had not been updated, cleaned, or loved in a while. I do not need every restaurant to be shiny and new. I usually prefer places with a little history. But cleanliness matters. A lot. And then there are the bathrooms. To get there, you pass through a doorway with beads, which feels like it should lead you towards your destination. Instead, you enter what may or may not be a storage closet, and it is quite dark, there are chairs stacked everywhere, and suddenly you are on a questionable journey. You zig. You zag. Eventually, you find the toilet area, and the sink is shared outside the two bathrooms, which adds another little layer of "what is happening here?" It was not quite portable-toilet-in-a-Denver-public-park bad, but it was close enough that I thought about the comparison, and that is not where you want your mind to go. So yes, Karma has personality. Yes, the staff was kind. Yes, the food arrived hot and fast. And yes, plenty of people clearly love this place. For me, though, cleanliness is a big deal. A restaurant can be dated and still feel taken care of. Sadly, that was not my first impression here. Friendly service helped. The food was okay. But the overall condition of the physical space made it hard for me to imagine coming back. As for the first date? Stay tuned...

I was really impressed by the rice itself too, nothing simple about it. The flavors were so dynamic, and everything was cooked to perfection. We also had the black miso cod, this might have been the highlight dish. It was so tender and supple, melting at the touch of a fork and even better in your mouth. The flavors were unbelievable, and it leaves you wanting more. The area is pretty central to wash park, a quick five or 10 minute walk over to Broadway after dinner is easy and accessible too. From the moment we sat down, it was clear that the service here operates at a different level. Our server was exceptionally well versed in the menu and sake pairings, explaining ingredients, preparation, and flavor profiles with confidence and genuine enthusiasm. You can tell the waitstaff is deeply trained to understand the food, beverages, and how everything works together. Their sake recommendations were spot‑on and elevated the meal even further. Every dish we ordered was executed beautifully. The miso eggplant was silky and deeply flavorful, perfectly balanced between savory and sweet. The miso black cod was rich, flaky, and melt‑in‑your‑mouth tender, while the mixed seafood tempura was light, crisp, and impeccably fried without a hint of greasiness. Each appetizer showcased refined technique and restraint. The Colorado steak with truffled potatoes was another standout. The steak was cooked perfectly and paired beautifully with the earthy richness of the truffled potatoes, easily holding its own among the sushi offerings. The moment that truly made the night unforgettable was the Osaka‑style pressed sushi served aburi‑style. It quite literally changed my son's life and opened his love for sushi. We ended up ordering several more of these incredible bites of salmon, topped with mayo and lightly flame‑kissed, resting on perfectly seasoned sushi rice. The fish here is so clean, well cured, and expertly prepared that I strongly recommend ordering a side of fresh wasabi--it brightens and elevates the flavors even further. The lobster sushi and scallop sushi were also exceptionally fresh and delicious, reinforcing the level of care taken with their seafood. Dessert was the perfect finale. The green tea tiramisu was light, creamy, and indulgent without feeling heavy. To cap it off, our waiter brought us yuzu and lychee sorbets, which offered a refreshing, citrusy finish and showed thoughtful hospitality. As we were leaving, something small but meaningful stood out. All of the sushi chefs looked up, raised their heads together, and warmly thanked us with sincere goodbyes. It was a gracious, heartfelt gesture that perfectly reflected the hospitality we felt throughout the evening. We cannot wait to return.

good place for date night! the ambience and lighting is intimate, especially the upstairs patio…read more the best bite of the night is the osaka style nigiri. sometimes seared fish can taste too fishy for me, but that wasn't the case here. so soft and the rice didn't overpower the fish at all the bento box was probably the best value, with a miso soup (stellar btw had chunks of mushroom in there that offered a good bite) and side salad. the salmon and beef were both okay; i thought the steak was a bit tough and could have done without the sauce. the tempura and truffle mashed potatoes were both phenomenal. california roll was standard the chirashi bowl also came with soup and salad. all of the fish was pretty good, with the tuna being the standout bite. the octopus was tough to me. the amount of rice that came with it was truly comical. it probably could've fed 4 people. all of the drinks were strong, but the ruby red was probably the best. the citrus cut through the alcohol well! they also have a free scoop of ice cream for the bday! the lychee sorbet was insane. it wasn't icey, but instead was thick. almost like italian ice and the lychee flavor was fantastic
