Came here with friends for a birthday dinner, as it was one of the only sushi restaurants with a good amount of vegetarian sushi options (one of the group doesn't do fish, but loves good vegetarian sushi). It was a cool interior, nice sushi bar, and our server was fantastic- she even noticed the birthday when checking IDs and ended up bringing out an unprompted birthday dessert at the end! As far as the sushi, it was solid. Nothing mind-blowing, but everything was tasty. The only real critique I would offer is that nothing was spicy- and everything I ordered mentioned "spicy tuna", "spicy crab", etc. I love a nice kick of heat with my sushi, so that was the only slight disappointment. However, the cost for a party of four including drinks was a pleasant surprise! I have paid much more for much less. Might have to make this a go-to when I'm wanting sushi!

I have to thank Hannah for bringing the old guys to one of her favorite spots in Denver. Go Fish is a great sushi place in Denver with an extensive menu. I was slightly concerned when we arrived as there was no one inside, that quickly changed and as we were leaving, it was packed to the gills. The service was funny, quirky and our server was very patient with all the special orders. Go Fish has a dedicated vegetarian / vegan menu which deserves a star by itself. Thank you Go Fish team! Everyone's order looked and smelled amazing. There's no blandiness here. My eggplant and tofu rolls were good but seriously the stars of the table were everyone else's plates. Hannah's dinner was plated expertly and looked delicious. Another diner's bowl was huge and the flavors in the steam was delightful. Two other diner's had stunning plated sushi. Overall, this was a great experience for all of us.

I finally came for Happy Hour. They offer it weekdays from 2pm-6pm and Fri-Sat 10pm-2am. I sat the Sushi Bar. I noticed several items not available during lunch, otherwise prices were reduced. I got a 12oz draft of Kirin beer for $5, the Ahi Tuna salad ($10) and the Chicken Karaage ($8). The beer was excellent. Plenty of chicken pieces with a spicy dipping sauce. The Ahi Tuna salad was misadvertised. I got 4 pieces of Ahi Tuna over a few leaves of greens. No mixed greens, tomato or cucumber. The tuna was buttery. I was still hungry, so I added the Volcano roll from the regular menu for $16. I was served by Riski P. He was quick. The dining area was clean and well cooled.

Go fish has the absolutely hands down best vegan/ vegetarian sushi menu that I have seen at a non vegan restaurant. They have some amazing combinations including a green chili sushi?! That being said, the gluten free options are sparse and they do not have a separate menu so you must ask for any item you are interested in. The staff was not very knowledgeable on this either so if you have celiac I might avoid or be ready to interact with the kitchen. They do only use a shared fryer as well. But they do carry soy paper and tamari! I did really enjoy the few rolls I was able to try, the eggplant roll was a showstopper and I adored the tofu pockets. My spouse loved the spicy edamame and their rolls. This is a great place to bring all types of sushi lovers! In the future I would LOVE to see allergen markings or a separate allergen menu available to customers!!

Really friendly and knowledgable staff. Our server Matt would always make sure to leave behind the sauce from every dish without us having to ask, which we appreciated. The menu items had some unique pairings and names I haven't seen before. The place offered outdoor seating as well as indoor options. Tons of parking was available in the back as well. Inside felt very moody with the lighting and well spaced out between tables. It was quite busy when we went but the service for even just our appys felt quite slow. Other than that the food was good and the desserts are not to be missed! They partnered with neighbouring dessert shop "Sweet Action" to create their ice cream dessert which I thought was a great idea.

Go Fish has stood the test of time and has proven to be a reliable spot for sushi. Prices are right with no rolls over $20. You never leave here hungry. I've never strayed away from the sushi. They do have appetizers, kitchen items like fried rice and tempura dishes, and desserts. I've always been in a sushi mood here. They do have a vegetarian/vegan menu as well! And to be honest, we've never been disappointed. Here are the specialty rolls I ordered last time we dined in a few weeks back. +Fantasy Roll // spicy salmon, crunch, masago, avocado, mango, topped with seared togarashi salmon and white tuna, crispy rice puff, eel sauce, wasabi mayo. +Triple X Roll // spicy yellowtail, spicy tuna, crunch, jalapeño, topped with seared tuna, garlic chips, eel sauce, house sauce. Dependable sushi here at Go Fish. It's right on the main drag of Broadway on a lively corner, so expect to see some type of action while you're here. Once you're inside, you'll be taken care of. Weather permitting, sit outside on the patio!

Stopped in for lunch during a recent trip and it was okay. I asked the server what vegetables were in the vegetable tempura and she didn't know so it was a gamble. Our gyozas were cold but I could tell they would have been good if they were hot. The air vents and the fans were covered in dust and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. My family was 50/50 on who liked their food and who didn't. We'd possibly check it out again.

This was our first time and it being Sunday we were unable to get the happy hour or weekly specials. The service was quick and friendly. The place looks small but has ample seating indoor and out. I liked that we could see the sushi chef and cook in the back. The rolls were make to order and you can tell everything is fresh and crisp. They were filled with amazing ingredients and very tasty... the rolls are a must! I'm glad we went in and will try again next time we're in Denver!

It's a hopping spot, a little loud, but that goes with the ambiance. You also pick up some of the cool staff shirts too. This place is busy so if you can, make a reservation. We arrived around 1pm on a Saturday and were able to snag 2 seats at the bar facing the street. It took a bit to get water/menu but some seats opened at the actual bar so we moved there and were tended to quickly. Also Rush Hour on the TV so that was a plus. Honestly, I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. We started with the stir-fried greens, chinatown dumplings, and for the entree, shared the beef stir-fried noodles. The greens were tasty, the dumplings were crispy on the bottom and had juicy meat inside. The noodles are very reminiscent of a Bay Area Chinese stir fried noodle dish with the "wok-hei". The only "miss" I could say is that the Hong Kong milk tea was not as strong as in Hong Kong and it wasn't as creamy like they used condensed milk. Our first experience at MAKfam was great and we will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

The standout for me was the taro fries. I absolutely loved them. They were crispy, flavorful, and something I'd order again. They were also surprisingly good as leftovers the next day, which isn't something you can say about most fries. If you're getting takeout and won't be eating right away, these still hold up really well. The shumai and pork buns came out first and really heightened our expectations. Both were delicious. The sauce that came with the shu mai is one of my favorites that I have ever tried. The pork buns are served with a spicy sauce which my dad liked but I decided to pass on. After that, we continued to get more and more disappointed. The Kung Pao Shroom Trio was not our favorite. The sauce on top was lacking and this dish really needs some protein. We also did not enjoy the cheeseburger dumplings. They did not have any cheese in them and the spicy mustard on top did not go with what we felt like the theme of the dish should be. I will say that every dish has great presentation. When we went, it was late. However, none of the servers seemed extremely interested in helping and they would drop items and quickly leave before you could say anything. They do have an online order and pay system which is really nice and the food comes out quickly. They do keep your sodas filled. The ambiance is definitely more bar like (again, makes sense since it was late) since they have a bar upstairs. Not a place for kids. We would come again for some shu mai and pork buns, but that's all.

Although CC has all 3, it is very average if not sub par. Hotpot is only as good as the sauce bar and broth it is boiled in. The sauce bar here was incredibly lackluster. 9 sauces total (ponzu, soy, sweet chili, peanut and sesame, sriracha, garlic paste, bbq sauce, sesame oil) is crazy when the restaurant claims it is a hot pot restaurant. If you have ever been to an actual hot pot restaurant you know that this is an incredibly low variety of sauces. No chili oil was probably the part that surprised me the most. The hot pot vegetable, fish and broth variety was average as well. My girlfriend got the plain tonkotsu broth and that was not great. I got the spicy tonkotsu broth and I enjoyed that. The bbq was not great. For wagyu you had an option of 6 different cuts along with the regular hot pot meats. The meat was over salted for a lot of it and only came with 3 pieces for some of them. Sushi was alright as well. I enjoyed the sashimi quite a lot, the salmon, yellowtail and tuna was great. The unagi nigiri was great too. The rolls were pretty good as well, we got a dragon roll and I enjoyed that. Service was great. The waitress put our order in and before she had even left the table we got the meat. The meat food runner was not friendly, but the waitress was kind the entire night and made sure we were taken care of. The longest we waited in between rounds was probably 3-5 minutes. Ambiance was good, the entire restaurant is very small. I'm glad we got a table as sitting near the conveyor belt would have had us feeling very cramped and severely limited the amount of food we could have ordered. It is well decorated overall however. For 2 bbq ayce and a bottle of soju plus a 20% tip, the total came out to 162 for the two of us. This felt ridiculously overpriced for the quality of food and options we were presenting with. A similar night at K Pot would be half the cost with much more variety of meat, hot pot and sauce. I am a big believer in value, and it feels like the price you pay for the quality of food you get here is not. I was ultimately disappointed in this place and would not return.
