Came here with friends for a birthday dinner, as it was one of the only sushi restaurants with a good amount of vegetarian sushi options (one of the group doesn't do fish, but loves good vegetarian sushi). It was a cool interior, nice sushi bar, and our server was fantastic- she even noticed the birthday when checking IDs and ended up bringing out an unprompted birthday dessert at the end! As far as the sushi, it was solid. Nothing mind-blowing, but everything was tasty. The only real critique I would offer is that nothing was spicy- and everything I ordered mentioned "spicy tuna", "spicy crab", etc. I love a nice kick of heat with my sushi, so that was the only slight disappointment. However, the cost for a party of four including drinks was a pleasant surprise! I have paid much more for much less. Might have to make this a go-to when I'm wanting sushi!

I have to thank Hannah for bringing the old guys to one of her favorite spots in Denver. Go Fish is a great sushi place in Denver with an extensive menu. I was slightly concerned when we arrived as there was no one inside, that quickly changed and as we were leaving, it was packed to the gills. The service was funny, quirky and our server was very patient with all the special orders. Go Fish has a dedicated vegetarian / vegan menu which deserves a star by itself. Thank you Go Fish team! Everyone's order looked and smelled amazing. There's no blandiness here. My eggplant and tofu rolls were good but seriously the stars of the table were everyone else's plates. Hannah's dinner was plated expertly and looked delicious. Another diner's bowl was huge and the flavors in the steam was delightful. Two other diner's had stunning plated sushi. Overall, this was a great experience for all of us.

I finally came for Happy Hour. They offer it weekdays from 2pm-6pm and Fri-Sat 10pm-2am. I sat the Sushi Bar. I noticed several items not available during lunch, otherwise prices were reduced. I got a 12oz draft of Kirin beer for $5, the Ahi Tuna salad ($10) and the Chicken Karaage ($8). The beer was excellent. Plenty of chicken pieces with a spicy dipping sauce. The Ahi Tuna salad was misadvertised. I got 4 pieces of Ahi Tuna over a few leaves of greens. No mixed greens, tomato or cucumber. The tuna was buttery. I was still hungry, so I added the Volcano roll from the regular menu for $16. I was served by Riski P. He was quick. The dining area was clean and well cooled.

Go fish has the absolutely hands down best vegan/ vegetarian sushi menu that I have seen at a non vegan restaurant. They have some amazing combinations including a green chili sushi?! That being said, the gluten free options are sparse and they do not have a separate menu so you must ask for any item you are interested in. The staff was not very knowledgeable on this either so if you have celiac I might avoid or be ready to interact with the kitchen. They do only use a shared fryer as well. But they do carry soy paper and tamari! I did really enjoy the few rolls I was able to try, the eggplant roll was a showstopper and I adored the tofu pockets. My spouse loved the spicy edamame and their rolls. This is a great place to bring all types of sushi lovers! In the future I would LOVE to see allergen markings or a separate allergen menu available to customers!!

Really friendly and knowledgable staff. Our server Matt would always make sure to leave behind the sauce from every dish without us having to ask, which we appreciated. The menu items had some unique pairings and names I haven't seen before. The place offered outdoor seating as well as indoor options. Tons of parking was available in the back as well. Inside felt very moody with the lighting and well spaced out between tables. It was quite busy when we went but the service for even just our appys felt quite slow. Other than that the food was good and the desserts are not to be missed! They partnered with neighbouring dessert shop "Sweet Action" to create their ice cream dessert which I thought was a great idea.

Go Fish has stood the test of time and has proven to be a reliable spot for sushi. Prices are right with no rolls over $20. You never leave here hungry. I've never strayed away from the sushi. They do have appetizers, kitchen items like fried rice and tempura dishes, and desserts. I've always been in a sushi mood here. They do have a vegetarian/vegan menu as well! And to be honest, we've never been disappointed. Here are the specialty rolls I ordered last time we dined in a few weeks back. +Fantasy Roll // spicy salmon, crunch, masago, avocado, mango, topped with seared togarashi salmon and white tuna, crispy rice puff, eel sauce, wasabi mayo. +Triple X Roll // spicy yellowtail, spicy tuna, crunch, jalapeño, topped with seared tuna, garlic chips, eel sauce, house sauce. Dependable sushi here at Go Fish. It's right on the main drag of Broadway on a lively corner, so expect to see some type of action while you're here. Once you're inside, you'll be taken care of. Weather permitting, sit outside on the patio!

Stopped in for lunch during a recent trip and it was okay. I asked the server what vegetables were in the vegetable tempura and she didn't know so it was a gamble. Our gyozas were cold but I could tell they would have been good if they were hot. The air vents and the fans were covered in dust and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. My family was 50/50 on who liked their food and who didn't. We'd possibly check it out again.

This was our first time and it being Sunday we were unable to get the happy hour or weekly specials. The service was quick and friendly. The place looks small but has ample seating indoor and out. I liked that we could see the sushi chef and cook in the back. The rolls were make to order and you can tell everything is fresh and crisp. They were filled with amazing ingredients and very tasty... the rolls are a must! I'm glad we went in and will try again next time we're in Denver!

It feels like you've stepped in somewhere completely outside Denver. The food is traditional Japanese country food and very much falls into the comfort food category. Nothing about it is trying to be fancy or overly elevated, and I honestly love that! It feels homey and approachable and is reasonably priced. I got the salmon and tuna sashimi donburi, which comes as a whole meal with pickled sides and soup. Everything was simple but satisfying! Service was pretty fast and the whole experience felt very relaxed. Domo is first come, first served, so you can put your name down and explore the space while you wait. I definitely want to come back and try some of their noodle dishes next. Also, take some time to read up on the history of Domo and the spaces surrounding it! The restaurant is connected to a much larger story involving Japanese culture, a dojo and a museum, which makes visiting feel like more than just going out to eat!

Service was friendly for the most part, but didn't refill our waters. The food was overall okay. Karaage tasted good and was crunchy, which was probably my favorite. The oyakodon was a bit disappointing. Not much flavor and really had to use the sauce from the Karaage to make it palatable. Definitely don't order it unless you like bland food. Cool place to hang out but probably won't go for food.

This omakese restaurant has been open for just under two years, but due to its rave reviews and impeccable service, it earned a Michelin star in its very first year--a truly rare achievement. "Kizaki" is the surname of Chef Toshi Kizaki. Chef Kizaki and his brother are considered the pioneers of sushi in Denver. The restaurant they opened over 40 years ago, Sushi Den, has become a must go destination for Asian foodies and remains a legend in Denver's sushi scene. They later opened several Japanese restaurants on the same street, providing customers a variety of authentic Japanese cuisine. Kizaki is a traditional Edomae sushi restaurant that Chef Toshi Kizaki opened on his own, returning to his roots. Kizaki's sign was quite inconspicuous; it's easy to miss if not looking for the specific street number. Once inside, after walking down a long corridor and passing through two doors, finally reaching the dining area. The restaurant was quite small and had an intimate feel. Aside from the counter and tables, there was not much extra space. Kizaki's omakase menu changes daily, determined by the chef based on the fresh ingredients available. Today's omakase featured 24 courses. As each dish was served, the server provided a detailed explanation of the ingredients, their origin, preparation method, and how to enjoy them. To ensure optimal temperature and texture, most dishes were best enjoyed immediately upon being served; waiting until the explanation is finished may compromise the flavor. After the courses, Chef Kizaki stepped out to greet guest and signed the menu as a memento. Kizaki is open only Wednesday through Saturday, with two seatings at 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.; the omakase normally takes about a little over two hours. The restaurant is across the street from Tokyo Premium Bakery. There is a parking garage right by the bakery, much more convenient than street parking.

Either way there is seating at the sushi bar & kitchen, or several back rooms with several 2 and 4 top tables. Unfortunately we got seating in the back room with another party of 4 and another couple. This made it a bit too intimate and akward. The sushi was outstanding, and the multiple courses were unique and took us on a journey. But, we missed each presentation, preparation, and narrative from the actual chef. Our waiters would kindly repeat some rendition of what the chef said, but huddled in a back room and straining my neck to get peaks of the action reminded me of Plato's shadows. I wouldn't recommend unless you know your at the bar. The Omakase courses really were exceptional, and the best of the few I have had over the years. You have the option to purchase additional pieces and/or add some extra pieces not part of the main experience. We needed other Scallion Fatty Tuna with Caviar Hand Roll, and added Uni and Lobster Nigiri. Its hard not to get caught up in the moment, the food was addictive. The cocktails were solid and the service was attentive and friendly. Overall, it wasn't cheep and almost worth it.

In my opinion, Mizu was probably one of the better Japanese options back in the day. However, with so many other good spots now, especially with Kawa Ni close by with a better izakaya hang out spot, it's not as attractive of an option, especially given the higher price. It really is not a restaurant that specializes in any particular food, but is certainly a crowd pleaser if you have people that want different things.

Although CC has all 3, it is very average if not sub par. Hotpot is only as good as the sauce bar and broth it is boiled in. The sauce bar here was incredibly lackluster. 9 sauces total (ponzu, soy, sweet chili, peanut and sesame, sriracha, garlic paste, bbq sauce, sesame oil) is crazy when the restaurant claims it is a hot pot restaurant. If you have ever been to an actual hot pot restaurant you know that this is an incredibly low variety of sauces. No chili oil was probably the part that surprised me the most. The hot pot vegetable, fish and broth variety was average as well. My girlfriend got the plain tonkotsu broth and that was not great. I got the spicy tonkotsu broth and I enjoyed that. The bbq was not great. For wagyu you had an option of 6 different cuts along with the regular hot pot meats. The meat was over salted for a lot of it and only came with 3 pieces for some of them. Sushi was alright as well. I enjoyed the sashimi quite a lot, the salmon, yellowtail and tuna was great. The unagi nigiri was great too. The rolls were pretty good as well, we got a dragon roll and I enjoyed that. Service was great. The waitress put our order in and before she had even left the table we got the meat. The meat food runner was not friendly, but the waitress was kind the entire night and made sure we were taken care of. The longest we waited in between rounds was probably 3-5 minutes. Ambiance was good, the entire restaurant is very small. I'm glad we got a table as sitting near the conveyor belt would have had us feeling very cramped and severely limited the amount of food we could have ordered. It is well decorated overall however. For 2 bbq ayce and a bottle of soju plus a 20% tip, the total came out to 162 for the two of us. This felt ridiculously overpriced for the quality of food and options we were presenting with. A similar night at K Pot would be half the cost with much more variety of meat, hot pot and sauce. I am a big believer in value, and it feels like the price you pay for the quality of food you get here is not. I was ultimately disappointed in this place and would not return.
