    No response back.. - A text message exchange discussing plumbing problems, including a sewer pipe collapse, with a follow-up question about the recipient's identity.

    03/24/2025 - Update: Changing 1 star to 3 stars since at least the Office Manager saw the review and cared enough to reach out and talked through the concern. --------------------------- It's really unfortunate that I'm having to leave this company a 1-star review. I had actually planned on leaving them a 5 star review at the beginning. I saw another yelp review recommending Luis Valadez. I gave him a call to share with him that my rental had severe water backup. I appreciated that he was able to come out on the same day at 5pm. Even though they ended up charging me an extra $60 after hour service that he didn't let me know about up front but I still would have been fine with that since the situation was urgent. I had to leave in the middle of the drain cleaning, and so I told Luis to please take a picture or video for me of what he's able to pull out, since another company that came out the day before already charged me for the cleaning fee but said something was stuck inside the pipe and they couldn't do the cleaning past 10 feet. He said yes. I even handed him the all the $17 cash I had on me as Tip. He never sent me any pictures after he was done. I texted him twice (and yes, it's his cell and he and I already texted each other before), and I also called him a couple of times. No response. What the heck..? I can't even get a response to understand what clogged up the pipe? Even if he couldn't pull out anything, why not just let me know that? My only theory is that he complained that the other company must have sucked at their job when they couldn't pull out anything, and he was embarrassed that he didn't either? but I wouldn't know since he wouldn't text or call me back. I thought I'd give him time in case he was out of town but it's been over 10 days. I also emailed the office to ask for a picture and received no email reply either. Do note that there are 3 Luis who work there, according to the office person who answers the phone. And so the other 2 could be a lot more responsive.

    Wow! I was so nervous at first. My kitchen flooded on a holiday. This was the third place I called. The tech, Luis, was assigned to me. He was caught up on another fix but kept me updated the whole time. He worked after hours on a holiday and gave me his word he would get to me. He came through. He was professional, courteous and so considerate. He explained everything in detail. I would HIGHLY recommend Luis Valadez with Go Direct Plumbing for any job.

The two installers showed up also on time and were quick and efficient. Even though they it wasn't part of the quote, they mounted the charger for me, and also installed the load management device into the panel (which was part of it). In the end, everyone else told me I had to get a new panel for $6k, and Austin and his team came up with a more affordable options and did an amazing job with installation. No surprises on the final price either.

    Update: Kudos to the owner for reaching out and making things right in a way that I would say is…read moreabove and beyond. As I told the owner, Austin is terrific. I have no reservations in recommending this company. -------------------- I really wanted to give Just In Time a five-star review, because I genuinely think the issue I ran into was an honest mistake. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with how they handled that mistake. First, the good: I hired them to install a smart EV charger. They were super friendly, responsive, on-time, and the installation itself was fast and clean. Here's where things went sideways: they told me the job was complete, but the charger's controller--the part that actually makes it "smart"--was still sitting in the box. Without that piece installed, the whole point of the smart charger is lost. The technicians put me on the phone with the boss, who told me installing the rest of the components would be an additional $165. I was awfully annoyed, but I didn't really have any choice at that point. My issue is simple: I was clear from the beginning about the exact charger I needed installed. I showed the estimator the box and confirmed that their quote covered installing and integrating the smart charger. Some people might call this a bait-and-switch, but I don't think that's what happened. I think they either misunderstood the charger when quoting or were just moving too fast. An honest mistake. But the "solution" was to charge me $165 more for something that took them less than fifteen minutes. They had an opportunity to either (A) complete the scope they quoted, or (B) at least try to work with me on the added fee. Instead, I got a shrug and a "take it or leave it."
