They stated that while cleaning the drains, they hit a hard spot that they were unable to get through. Both recommended having a supervisor come out with a camera to inspect the issue. Both technicians emphasized that this needed to be done today and quoted a price of $299 for the camera inspection. Once they were told NO, both technicians stepped outside and said they were going to call their supervisor. After speaking with the supervisor, the price suddenly dropped to $199 at the first location if we scheduled the service that same day. At the second location, we were given the same sales pitch, but they were willing to perform the camera inspection for $99 if booked for the same day. I find it concerning that both technicians presented the exact same situation, pushed the urgency of having the work completed that day, and then offered significantly reduced pricing once we declined. The fact that the pricing was different at each location also raises questions. This comes across as a sales tactic rather than a genuine recommendation based on the condition of the drains. I think we need to take a closer look at how these recommendations are being made and whether customers are being pressured into additional services they may not need.
