I don't go here anymore. Years ago, I received good service, but my last service was not great. It was a big job, but the bill was mostly labor. Yet they wanted me to go back on a separate trip to give them "parts money" after I'd already dropped off the car. And later, the actual total bill was less than 25% parts but they wanted 75% of the money. Basically wanted to be paid before the job was done. And it'a a nice car so they knew I was coming back for it. After I returned again to get the car, i realized the exhaust tips were totally misaligned. They fixed that. I asked if the brakes worked good ? Was it test driven ? They said yes to both questions. They had done a brake job. As soon as I pulled out, the brakes were horrible. They obviously didn't bleed it. On top of all this, they forgot to reconnect the speed sensor to the transmission. Another shop had to reconnect it for me. On this visit, the owner was rude and got very agitated when I asked basic questions about the bill. But the biggest problem is that he's not the person turning the wrenches. And apparently the employees are lower skilled than in the past. You're getting underpaid apprentices who cut corners, but you're paying expert labor rates. read more

Spent around $1400 with these guys to fix my AC. At least 6 trips back to their shop and a lot of wasted time the AC still doesn't work. I wish I went somewhere else. One of the trips back they swore it was a sensor. Spent the money and it still didn't work. Get my money back? Nope. We had our other car fixed here maybe 4-5 years ago. Still works. Quality has gone way down over the years I guess. Save your money. read more

How have I not reviewed this place? About a year back I had to replace an engine in my 2011 Equinox and these guys took care of me big time. They worked with my warranty company to just about eliminate my out of pocket and today they helped me again. Brian worked with this se warranty place to ensure my AC unit was replaced and working properly going forward. I appreciate these guys and always recommend them to family and friends. I April of this year 2109 I had them seal all engine compartment oil leaks. They sealed the oil pan,timing cover and replaced the pressure power steering hose for total of over 2 K. I pointedly asked them to make sure they only put 4 quarts of oil in the engine as that is the called for amount by the manufacturer. However upon returning to NY driving 2450 miles my rear main started leaking and upon checking I found that they had put in 5 quarts of oil which I believe caused the rear main to start leaking. Also After another 1 k miles all of a sudden I lost all the power steering fluid. It seems the new power steering hose was NOT properly installed causing the exhaust pipe to melt the hose creating loss of fluid and possible fire. Experts would have known about the oil capacity and also how to properly install a hose close to an exhaust pipe. read more

Just had my truck serviced at GM Experts for a knock sensor replacement. And the difference is like night and day. Very happy with the results as always. The technician that worked on my truck went above and beyond. He did all this extra stuff that I was not expecting. He topped off all my fluids, did something else cool to the throttle body, plus he made my door open correctly! (I bought my truck with a dinged door, it would always make dent-like noises when it opened and closed) But NOT anymore! This is the 4th or 5th time bringing my truck to GM Experts, and it was the 2nd "Big" job they did for me where I took advantage of their financing option. Great work! read more

***MUST READ IF CONSIDERING GM EXPERTS*** long but informative warning OK...I took my car to this shop for service a few weeks ago (C6 Corvette). I told them it was making a chirping noise, and I had read that Corvettes make this sound when a harmonic balancer is needed. I also let them know it would misfire and kick a check engine light on during hard acceleration. They said, "We'll diagnose what the problem is and let you know". I said Ok. You guys are the "experts". Have at it. They called me and told me it needed a new alternator and serp belt (this would take care of the chirping noise) and new sparks and wires (this would take care of the misfire). When they called to tell me they were finished and I could come pick it up, they mentioned the driver side window wasn't working. Im like huh?!? The window has been working, without fail, since I got the car 2 years ago. They said they would try to fix it. 15 minutes later they called me back to say it needed a new driver side window regulator. The part is $600 (which a quick google search reveals this is a lie), but they would eat half and I would have to pay the other half. I said no way, Im already spending $1200+ with you and Im not paying for something that was working just fine when I brought you the car. When I made it to the shop I told them to just give me my car back with the window now broken. The guy, who I think is the owner, begrudgingly said he would fix it, on them. They did fix it. I paid them $1265 and I took my car home. Fast-forward two weeks later, and I hear a consistent clanking noise under the hood. Lifted it up to check it out and noticed the serpentine belt is shredding apart. Of course I called them. They said if it is their work, and fault, it would be under warranty. They sent a tow guy to my house. Called me about an hour after my car arrived out there to tell me it was not their work/fault. It needs a... wait for it.... HARMONIC BALANCER!! I said man you have got to be kidding me! I told you guys that's what it needed in the first place! He actually tried to make me believe my harmonic balancer must have went bad between the time they incorrectly diagnosed my car, and then, which was 2 weeks later. I told them to sit my car to the side. I wanted to get my car as far away from them as possible. When I arrived at the shop to get my car towed back home, they charged me for the tow to the shop and the diagnosing. I had to pay them another 200 bucks to get my keys back! And low and behold, my key fob was now not working. Im telling you guys and gals I am not making this nightmarish story up. I really wish I were. Because now I have to pay another shop $1200 to fix the problem I knew I had all along, which is the harmonic balancer. Bottom-line, if they were "GM Experts" you would not be reading about this debacle. Seriously, even if you have a POS, let alone a nicer car, there are better options in the valley. I brought my daughter's 2000 Buick LeSabre in for A/C and transmission work. I read the reviews before doing it, and talked to a few friends that told me how honest and straightforward they were. I recently purchased a 2012 Corvette & sadly after driving her just 4K miles, I began to have a very distinctive "clicking sound"?!? After having a number of mechanically inclined "inputs", it was finally time to find the TRUTH. My friend referred me to a very reputable shop, where I discovered they didn't work on Vette's, yet referred me to GM Experts, where I ended up utilizing. (Keep in mind I have very little TRUST w/ auto shops) Anyhow, the reason I chose to invest a substantial investment (engine tear down-major engine parts replacements-labor) due to the "FEEL" (KNOWLEDGE/CARE/QUALITY) I immediately sensed upon arriving to their counter and speaking w/ Brian (Front Desk/Office Mgr) and Cory. (Owner) Understanding my disappointment in having to invest rebuilding my engine when just recently purchasing Vette, these guys did everything they could to keep the "bleeding" as minimal as possible! Within a week, the GM Expert Team had my engine removed, ALL engine parts replaced, power washed ALL re-used parts (Jeremy-Mechanic specializing in Vette's who's very "anal" -OCD about clean & quality work!) and put all back together w/ a beautifully sounding engine! After picking her up yesterday, I'm in the process of "breaking engine in" over the next 500 miles, when I'm returning to their shop to perform another oil change, while Jeremy is to perform the final engine testing analysis where I feel highly encouraged my engine will be good for over 200,000 enjoyable driving miles that used to have 430HP, and will now equate to 500HP-530HP going forward! In conclusion, I feel BLESSED finding a TRUSTING auto shop that has a GREAT TEAM that provides QUALITY, HONESTY, and FAIR PRICING!!! If you own a Vette, OR any GM vehicle needing some "love", I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND taking your vehicle to GM EXPERTS!!! read more

Want a good and honest auto repair shop, then the folks at GM Experts are the ones to take your vehicle to for minor or major repairs. Took a vehicle in for some routine maintenance and also asked them to look over the vehicle to see if it needed any additional work while it was there. Cory took the time to call me a couple of times and let me about some items that could be done now or later, my choice. I appreciated his honesty and moved forward with the repairs because I trusted what he was telling me. When I picked up the vehicle it was clean and they went over everything they did. The bill was no surprise either, because Cory updated me with price every time he called. The mechanic (Martin) that worked on my vehicle was very conscientious and enthusiastic about the work he does. The shop is kept very clean as well. Please, please, please do not let the business name trick you. I took my GM vehicle here for my last oil change and after reminding the owner via yelp messages and in person, he still used unapproved engine oil (I have a diesel that requires DEXOS2). It did not appear that he even understand the difference. Now my vehicle is in for a 3rd round of repairs for emission issues probably caused by the high ash oil he used. Be careful. More expensive does not always mean better, but cheap will always mean cheap!!! read more

Purchased a 02 deville with the Northstar motor. Turns out that motor has a design problem. It had a cooling problem and failed a block test(that means the head gaskets blown) ! Was not ready for that. The dealer said $4100 to $5000 to fix!!! The car had only 55 k on it but ..that much...no thanks. I went online and found Cory and GM experts.Called them and Cory answered. Talked to him and he filled me in on the design problem. The next day I went down and met him, firm hand shake, looks ya in the eye set up a time and dropped car off. The price was 1/2 what the dealer wanted. The car is real clean and worth spending that amount....I ended up getting the "Northstar" fix which involves pulling the motor removing the heads adding inserts that replaces the weak design that came out of the factory. I can not say enough about them and the work they do! I ended up with the above mentioned fix plus all new oil gaskets , radiator( leaking due to blown head gaskets) hoses, oil and filter new anti freeze and plugs(due to car being 12 years old...I wanted them done)..well that was almost 5000 miles ago !!! Car runs GREAT...NO PROBLEMS!! Will go to them for all my repairs and HAVE recommend them to others all ready. Great job!! If you have a Northstar with my problem GM experts is the place to get it fixed.....all the work done was $2800! I could not be more satisfied. read more
