As a business owner myself, I genuinely dislike leaving negative reviews. I understand that restoration projects can run long and old cars can present unexpected challenges. But after nearly 4.5 years dealing with Bromley's Corvettes and Doug Bromley, I feel obligated to warn other Corvette owners about my experience. Doug had my 1981 Corvette for a body-off resto-mod project using components from my totaled 1979 Corvette starting in January of 2022. The car was first returned after roughly 3.5 years, and it immediately had major issues. I towed it to my detailer for a full protective film treatment and during his inspection he pointed out an obvious rock chip in the passenger door paint that had been covered up with cheap touch up paint. I spent $1000 out of pocket to have my detailers quality body shop re-paint the door. About 2 weeks later I drove the car home from my detailer. As soon as I parked the car in my garage I noticed a significant transmission fluid leak and the car had to get towed back to the shop, ultimately for another 10 months. When I finally picked it up again in March/April 2026, I smelled gasoline on the drive home. I stopped to inspect the car and found fuel actively spraying from the main fuel line. This was a serious safety hazard that could have easily resulted in an engine fire. The car had to be towed back again. What made the experience even more frustrating was the constant stream of excuses rather than accountability or solutions. Nearly every leaking hose, failed component, or malfunction was blamed on "cheap Chinese parts since COVID." I never asked Doug to use cheap parts. My response was simple: if the parts are known to be unreliable, why are they being used in customer builds in the first place? None of my other cars have these issues after repairs. The same thing happened with the Dakota Digital gauges that Doug specifically recommended I purchase. The speedometer was never calibrated correctly and currently reads approximately 15-20 MPH fast, meaning I cannot accurately determine my speed without GPS. When I raised the concern, the explanation became that "Dakota Digital gauges don't work well." Yet many respected resto-mod shops continue to use them successfully every day. At some point, repeated excuses stop being believable. The most frustrating part is that Doug already had a detailed list of unresolved items when the car was first returned. During the additional 9-10 months he had the vehicle, almost none of those issues were corrected. The car was ultimately returned to me with numerous basic functions still broken or incomplete, including: Headlights turn on but do not open Emergency brake does not work Horn does not work Wiper blades do not work Passenger window electronics do not work Passenger window hits the roof when closing unless partially rolled down Dome light missing bulb and cover Mirror controls do not work Antenna does not work Clock does not light up Subwoofer does not work T-top trim falling off Oil leak still present Dakota Digital gauges still not calibrated properly After bringing the car home, I immediately notified Doug that the speedometer issue still existed. I received no response. After spending additional time inspecting the vehicle, I sent another detailed list of unresolved issues over a week ago. That message was also ignored. What makes this especially disappointing is that I treated Doug with complete honesty and integrity throughout the entire process. At one point he accidentally under-billed me by $10,000. I voluntarily corrected the mistake and paid the additional amount owed. Unfortunately, that integrity was not reciprocated in workmanship, accountability, urgency, communication, or customer service. The issue was never simply that the project took too long. The issue was poor quality control, repeated safety-related failures, unfinished work, excuse-making, and ultimately a complete lack of follow-through after years of delays. I am now eating the expense of taking the car elsewhere to have the work corrected properly. If you value your Corvette, your time, your money, or your safety, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I sincerely hoped this project would end differently, but after nearly 4.5 years, multiple safety-related failures, unfinished work, non-stop excuses and complete lack of follow-through, I cannot recommend Bromley's Corvettes. read more

I normally don't leave reviews like this, but after spending $5,547 and dealing with multiple trips back to the shop, I feel people should know about my experience with Bromley's Corvettes. We live in Chandler and wanted to support a local business that appeared to have good reviews. Unfortunately, I missed some of the bad reviews, and now I understand why they were there. My husband wanted to give him a chance because he seemed nice and knowledgeable about Corvettes. I brought my 1992 Corvette in for an oil leak. The car has less than 25,000 miles on it, had passed inspection, and was kept in great condition. The first repair bill was around $3,000 and included things like the front crank seal, oil pan gasket, valve cover gaskets, intake gasket work, and more. We brought the car home and it was STILL leaking oil. We took it back, and then suddenly the diagnosis changed to an O-ring, oil pan warranty repair, rear main seal, rear cam plug, and additional repairs. After all of that, we ended up paying another $1,178. The most frustrating part is the car was returned to us multiple times in worse condition than when we brought it in. After the third visit, the car wouldn't even start when we got it home, so they had to send someone to tow it back to the shop. When we went to pick it up again, it STILL wouldn't start until the mechanic physically wiggled the gear selector to get it going. Even now, that's something we still have to do to start the car. They also disarmed the alarm because it kept going off, so the alarm currently doesn't work either. Then after bringing the car home again, a large starter bolt literally fell onto our garage floor. I also should mention he only accepts cash, which honestly should have been the first red flag, but we still wanted to give him a chance. I understand old Corvettes can have issues, and I wasn't expecting perfection. But after spending this kind of money, I expected the oil leak to actually be fixed and the car to at least be returned in reliable condition. Very disappointed with the overall experience, communication, workmanship, and quality control. If you care about your Corvette, I would strongly recommend taking it somewhere else. read more

I recently moved to Phoenix and was looking for a technician to repair my 1978 Corvette that would not keep a charge. I have owned the car for 16 years and explained everything I done over the years and that I was looking for a new wiring harness. A couple days later, I was contacted and was told they changed the battery and that fixed the issue. I explained that was not the issue and similar to other reviews, Doug Bromley was rude and condescending. After going back and forth he finally agreed to take a second look and discovered that that the harness was fried and needed to be replaced (pictures attached). He ordered my harness from eBay for $1070 (had I known that he wasn't using Ecklers or Summit, I would have brought my business elsewhere) and charged me $1400 plus labor (receipts attached). Issues: - He installed the harness over the ashtray, so I cannot open it and although I am not a smoker, I cannot open it to charge my phone - Windshield wipers no longer work - Threw away my life time battery - RetroRadio installed wrong when re-installed - Missing "flag" for PRNDL - Arm no longer secured to driver side door - Fuse blows if I roll the windows down when the radio is on And if all that wasn't bad enough, he called me and told me my car is ready, so I took a $70 Uber from West Valley and when I fired it up the alternator light was on, and the tachometer and the speedometer didn't work. I went in and told him and he was like, it worked last night. So I just stared at him and he looked me dead in the eye and said, I don't know why you're wasting your money on that piece of $h!t anyway... call a friend and have them pick you up, because it's not going to be a quick fix. A rat probably chewed the wires overnight and I don't know why the gauges aren't working. I was blown away! I ended up getting my car a couple weeks later and it started, only to stall a block down the road. I had to tow my car from there to get it back to the west side of the valley because he couldn't figure out how to configure the aftermarket fuel injector. I am currently consulting with a legal team to bring him to small claims court and would be happy to testify on your behalf if you are in a similar situation. Definitely do not recommend. read more

I took my 1960 Corvette there to be restored. They did poor work, took parts off my vehicle and kept them and even tried to keep a deposit of $10,000 for parts. The owner Doug Bromley stated he did not have to give back my $10,000 and he did not even purchase any parts for my vehicle. Fortunately I paid by credit card and my credit card company reverse the charges. However he stole some of my parts, such as rebuilt regulators, trim around the back of the seats and in the glove box area. I would definitely recommend, based on my experience, nobody should take their vehicle there to be fixed or restored. read more

Took my corvette to this shop to see what they all do and to gather prices. The front office guy was very rude and talk very badly about my corvette. He also expressed that I didn't look like I could afford to take my car to this business and to take my business elsewhere. I was very shocked as I'm confused how this place gets business when they are this open to talking smack to their customers. Stay away from bromley Corvette.. letter to Bromley and his Attorney.. Our email to Doug Bromley and Attorney. 1. Bromley corvette was not paid by our insurance company for repairs as all payments issued were to Daniel Roberts policy holder. As for poor workmanship, paint runs, primer showing thru edges, bolts missing and loose, all insurance estimate repairs were done below industry standards and did not do what was on insurance company estimate, front frame rails not repaired, appears Bromley corvette used a used or reconditioned bumper cover as our insurance company paid for a new General Motors bumper cover that is still available, we will be removing this bumper cover as appears we will be able to prove insurance fraud. We seem to have a difference of option to insurance law and I will rely on my 16 years as a Allstate automotive adjuster and the knowledge of the attorney general and the state of Arizona insurance commissioner. 2. Insurance company paid $230.00 for 4 wheel alignment and wheel balance. Invoice from Pep boys sent to Bromley attorney states alignment and wheel balance for $56.00.. We have documentation that alignment was done so poorly and each tire had 8 to 10 pounds of low air pressure... these facts will be presented in our attorney general complaint. 3. Bromley corvette was paid by our insurance company to repair shifter malfunction and did not repair as this condition still exists. These reasons are why we expect a full refund from Bromley corvette as all repairs from OUR insurance company estimate were appears fraudulent and can be proved all repairs are extremely below automotive industry standard. Additional repairs... We spent $120.00 in towing due to Bromley corvette breaking the heater coolant tank and covering it up by gluing a brass nipple on that would allow our vehicle to sustain engine damage.. $90.00 for heater coolant tank and $200.00 labor time to install. We have spent $ 450.00 for shock parts and $560.00 in labor for shock installation, wheel balance and alignment. As stated previously Bromley corvette was asked to inspect shocks and advise us if needed replacement. Bromley corvette replaced our Konni shocks with auto zone Duralast shocks with a list price cost of $100.00 and charged us $400.00 for shocks and $200.00 labor. We think the attorney general will have an interest in Bromley corvette charging a 300% markup on parts and doing repairs without authorization. Ask yourself who in there right mind would replace Konni shocks with Duralast and ruin the ride of our vehicle, only Doug Bromley as we feel this was done only for monetary gain and fraud and again will rely on the attorney general opinions. Our corvette was returned to us in a dangerous drivability condition, this has been documented. Bromley corvette charged for an oil change, no oil change done, this has been documented with samples, oil filter and our new shop willing to testify to oil conditions. Bromley corvette had no permission to replace front valence as this was explained to liberty mutual and Doug Bromley and is Documented with liberty mutual insurance. We have just completed and extensive cooling system repair with $1383.00 in labor and $530.00 parts. We purchased this corvette from auto nation Toyota approximately end of may 2019 and per there documentation vehicle was inspected and had no cooling issues and drove through the summer heat with no issues. Bromley corvette was asked to flush cooling system for maintenance and has caused problems with this system. Not only breaking heater coolant tank and covering up by gluing but vehicle now having cooling issues, Doug Bromley stated in one of his emails that he blew shop air into our cooling system to remove so called clog. We believe this caused cooling system damage to a 25 year old system and shows extremely poor repair workmanship decisions by Bromley corvette. Bromley corvette was paid to touch up. Pain and buff, no touch up done and in Bromley corvette buffing burned paint on right rear hood edge, left front hood, left upper bumper cover... an experienced technician would not cause damage to paint... this has caused diminished value to our corvette-and to repair properly would require removing trim and refinishing. We received Doug Bromleys response to BBB, we rejected this as Bromleys offered $1000.00 on a $4318.00 repair, Bromleys poor workmanship and part usage has cost us an additional $3900.00 in redo repairs and still have to address the paint burns that Bromley Corvette put in our Hood and front bumper. Overall bad experience in the shop. The owner was very short and ill mannered. I came in for simple advice for 5 minutes and was shoed out. He only cares if I was going to bring in my car or not and didn't even car why I wanted to bring it in. I just purchased a 1998 C5 Corvette. It had some know issues and some unknown issues. They took it in and went through everything. They texted me photos of everything and was very honest and fair. Even sent me a video of them test driving the car. I would highly recommend them for any work on your Corvette, new or old. Items I had done were new spark plugs and wires, trans fluid, diff fluid, fixed an exhaust leak, aligned the exhaust tips, and move the rear brake lines that were rubbing on the inside of the wheels. They also cleaned up the under side of the car and painted my exhaust with a nice flat black heat resistant paint. I had to tow the 2003 Corvette to and from the shop and felt I would be taking the car to Corvette specialists. A rear bearing was replaced that didn't fix the sound coming from the rear end at low speed and low gear. I asked if Doug drove the car and he said he didn't have time and only drove it in the shop area. There was a burning smell after the car was shut off and they had no opinion on that. {They probably didn't run it long enough?} The left driver's window was broken. After it was replaced, and you now run the window up to closed position the window rises too high and slams on the outer open area when closing the door. You have to lower the window an inch so that it closes clean. The driver's side view mirror had been pushed out of position by me and they fixed it by ratcheting it back into position for no cost. When I submitted the car to the shop the gas tank was just under a half. When I received the car, the tank showed empty below the red line. I mentioned this to Doug, and he said they were having trouble with gas disappearing from the cars in the lot at night. read more

Wow, was I blown away with the knowledge, care, and TRUST (Owner Doug provides) when first arriving on site to get a "second opinion" on my "new" 2012 C6 Manual LS3 Vette I had just bought a month ago (that I'm LOVING!) where the previous shop had just performed a fairly minor repair, yet said I was also needing a very expensive repair (lifters & possibly camshaft replaced) ASAP!?! Upon arriving and saying high to a mechanic, I also heard a "hello" coming from somewhere......which ended up being the Doug (Owner) in his office, that also has a "pimped out" full on kitchen/grill! Anyhow, I introduced myself & explained seeking a second opinion W/O telling him the "issue" in advance. He immediately provided 100% attention and care towards checking her out.....I then offered him to take her for a spin to get a "better feel". Upon returning, he discovered nothing wrong, particularly when I told him "other shops findings". Finding TRUST within this industry is sadly, hard to find......as I was quoted a substantial amount from 1st shop, where Bromley Corvette could have easily performed the work cheaper, and when having a "new" car, I would have most likely "gone with it"! Instead, Doug was HONEST & CARING......NOT just another UNETHICAL shop taking advantage of a customer who knows little about cars! In conclusion, I know where I'll be taking my Vette for any service/repairs needed until I no longer own a Vette. Oh, and to affirm Doug's character.......I found out he has a gal who comes nearly every day of the week to put the way cool kitchen to use, by feeding his TEAM lunch......this should describe how GIVING & CARING Doug is a PERSON, let alone an ETHICAL BUSINESS MAN!!! read more

Please read this review (both parts) completely and carefully before using Bromley's. I took my 72 Corvette convertible to Bromley's on the recommendation of a neighbor who had a similar car. I now wish I had done a miniscule amount of research before I did. I talked to Doug on the phone several times but failed to actually meet him in person. Had I done that I would have realized he is unorganized and doesn't pay attention to details. As I now read other Yelp reviews they refer to him as a fast talker or constantly texting while you are trying talk to him about detail items. For the first 3 months he couldn't remember which car was mine. In the 8 1/2 months my car was there he never once called me by name. He will half ass listen to what you say but doesn't recall the details. I took my car to him on May 7, 2021. I provided him the original engine fully rebuilt and dyno'd, along with all new parts. The rebuild of the rear transaxle, suspension, brakes and transmission were already completed. I provided him a sheet listing my priorities: Phase 1: Install engine, fill and bleed the brakes, fix the vacuum system, make the lights and wipers operational, do a rear end alignment, repair passenger door handle. Phase 2: Replace carpeting, sound proofing & weather stripping. Phase 3: Convertible top rebuild. Upon dropping off the car Doug began taking pictures...hmmmm. So I figured I should take some also. I had already taken pics of all the parts I took to him. Doug sold me over the phone on a new Vintage Air system & a new aluminum radiator. I thought fine, this is Arizona. But once the car arrived he began upselling more strongly. He recommended new 1982 version seats that would be more comfortable for a daily driver. Sounded reasonable and while they were out he said they could easily redo the carpet. Then unauthorized by me, he redid most of the interior parts. Door panel and dash were redone. Rear view mirror replaced. But when the new seats were installed, the seat back hit against the body. Additionally the seatbelt shoulder harness was no longer functional, so now it only had a lap belt!! ...REALLY!!?? It took me a while to fathom this mistake so when I realized it I asked him to put the original seats back in however the original seatbelts can't be found. The material cost of a carpeting kit is $200, but it's invoiced at $1000 and another $1000 to install it. Unauthorized dash wrap $400, and door panels $1000 & rear view mirror $100. I stare at the invoice for 5 full minutes while Doug never looks up from texting on his phone. I informed him bluntly there will be no further cosmetic work is to be done on the car without my explicit authorization. 2 months later when the hardtop was removed I realized how bad the paint was and asked for a quote for painting from The Hobby Shop which is in the centralized work bays of Bromley's but not associated. Instead of introducing I to the owner of the shop Doug informed me he knows its $8500 to paint the car with PPG paint. I checked around and it seemed like a fair price. Paint was applied and looks OK. My mistake was not talking directly to the paint shop owner...more on that later. The project was taking longer than I was hoping so in January I text Doug wanting to know what was happening. Mine sat for weeks outside with no work being done while other cars came and went. Then, he sent me a text over Christmas, as we were out of town, and asked if I had the center console that belongs in the car? Uh no, I said, it was in the car when I gave it to you. Well it doesn't fit he says. I'm perplexed as it was all together when I gave it to him. He says well something must have happened and mine got lost because the one they have doesn't seem to fit....it's too long. He says he's worked on hundreds of C3's and this isn't how they go together. I said well then you have to buy me another one or make that one fit. I wish I had gone down there to inspect it myself. Well his answer to this problem is to cut it off and reupholster it. I stopped by when we got back to town to look at it and realize immediately he had no clue what he was talking about and the shortened console looks like crap and doesn't cover the gap properly. Now I'm upset. Doug says well maybe my standards are too high. "It's not that big a deal" I also notice a large spot of black paint spilled on the driver side rocker panel. I ask what the hell Doug?? We took our Vette to Bromley - big mistake! Not friendly or professional. The work on our car was not completed when promised and we had to come back two more times to finally get it back, after waiting there for over a half hour on our third attempt. Then, we noticed a long scratch in the area he was working, but he denies doing any damage. He actually called us liars and lost his temper. We are now experiencing the same issue we had before Bromley "fixed" it. We paid to have a window regulator replaced with a new one, but after the window stopped working again, I took off the door panel and found a large amount of grease all over the tracks. He did not replace the regulator, just greased everything and charged us for a new regulator. Dishonest! Complete waste of our time and money! We will find another place to take our car. read more

*Update* 25 Oct 2018: Radiator sprung a leak where Bromley's improperly mounted the fan shroud. The shroud rubbed a hole through one of the tubes and let out a significant amount of coolant. I also found that because of the way they installed the radiator, there is no way to open the draincock to drain it. Furthermore the radiator was filled with regular antifreeze instead of the water wetter that I paid for. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Took my '69 in to have a Vintage Air A/C kit installed because of the reasonable price and the assurance that they install these "all the time." The car sat for about a week because they didn't order the parts on time. When I tracked down the order, they had ordered the wrong kit, so I lost another few days. They recommended I install an aluminum radiator and dual electric fan w/digital controller to take the excess heat, which I agreed to. A couple days after dropping it off they sent me an estimate, and among other things they had changed the spark plugs for $135. We had never talked about spark plugs, so I had them put the old ones back in. After they installed the kit, they couldn't get it to run cool enough so they installed a pusher fan. After 20 days it was finally ready, so I picked it up started heading home (though I had to ask for my four vent knobs back, which they had removed and added to their parts supply). After about 2 miles, the temperature started to climb through 230 with the A/C off, so I exited the highway. A minute later the temperature spiked through 250, so I pulled off the road just as coolant sprayed all over the windshield. With steam billowing from the engine, I opened the hood to find the main radiator outlet hose completely disconnected. Taking a closer look, the hose was too short, and they had just barely secured it to the flange with a hose clamp. I called Bromley so he could have it towed back to the shop, but he couldn't get ahold of anyone and suggested I use AAA. After some more prompting, he finally got ahold of someone to tow us. Meanwhile, my wife and I had some lunch at the Mexican place across the street. 11 days later they had installed a 4-row radiator, and 8 days after that a new water pump, and switched the coolant to distilled water and wetter. After 38 days in their shop and $5092 spent, they finally gave up and said that the engine is too old, and that the coolant passages must be clogged. I told them I'd come pick it up, but he had it towed to my house instead. It arrived caked in dirt, with a piece of trash in the wiper well. After a week or so when my work schedule slowed down I was able to start looking into the "work" they did. First, they had removed the heater hoses, and didn't include the electric heater control valve that I paid for when I bought the A/C kit. I now have no heat or defrost, nor the parts to hook it up. Second, the digital fan controller had been installed in the engine bay and had melted, though it's still functional. The instructions clearly say not to install it in the engine bay. Third, the A/C controls were hooked up backwards and not calibrated properly. Fourth, the kit-supplied A/C control placard was not installed or included. Fifth, they installed a binary A/C over-pressure switch in place of the correct trinary switch specified by the A/C kit instructions. This switch activates the pusher fan when the A/C system pressure reaches a certain point. Sixth, they had spliced into the water temp sender wire, didn't use the splice, and left the bare wire dangling to ground-out against the frame and make the temperature gauge useless half the time. Took me a while to figure that one out. Finally, they removed my ignition kill-switch. After the car was dropped off at my house they haven't answered a single call, returned any voicemails, responded to texts, or answered an email I sent. I feel bad for the folks who work in the shop, but I'd highly advise steering clear of this place. I should have picked up the car the moment they told me they had replaced my spark plugs for $135. My review of Bromley's is based on first hand experience and is well documented. Bromley's Yelp account has a total of 5 reviews all from the same time period in 2015. Three of those reviews which mysteriously all have a 5 Star rating are from the same week in June of 2015. Suspect? Absolutely. Yelp has noted that these three reviews should NOT be considered but they are still viewable. Check them out and decide for yourself. I contacted the owner, Doug Bromley by phone and told him my 2000 Corvette's air conditioner was blowing semi cold air. He said to bring it in which I did a few days later. The shop is located in an older complex and is shared by a body shop across the parking lot. There were several older 60's and 70's Corvettes in the lot. Most of which appeared to have been there for some time. No motors in them, parts missing and dirty. No big deal. It's a Corvette shop. I went into the small very cluttered office to find Doug. Was going to sit down on the one chair he had but it was so full of cat hair I changed my mind. As I described my Corvette's air problem he wrote nothing down but did hand me a blank piece of paper to write my name and phone number on. As I was explaining the air issue I noticed he was more interested in texting someone than listening to what I was saying. He finally looked up and I told him I also had a new drivers window switch panel I wanted installed as the rubber protection on mine was torn. I knew he had to take the door panel off to install the switch so I asked him to adjust the window as well. It sometimes would hit the metal tab on the roof line when closing the door. I waited outside for my ride to pick me up as there was no waiting room. The next day I received a series of 3-4 text messages (not a phone call) saying that my air conditioning pump needed a rebuild kit and a few other things. Cost would be about $1,400.00 or more and would depend on what else they found. Another text message said the drivers window could not be adjusted and it need a new regulator. Cost about $600.00. This wasn't something I wanted to text back and forth about so I called him. Got the same story, so I told him to just replace the window regulator and that I would wait on the air. I picked up the car two days later and was going to pay him the $635.00 for the window regulator with my debit card. He said he charged an additional 3% for debit or credit card payments. I disagreed with him on charging the 3% on debit card and informed him that after Sept 2013 it was illegal to charge an additional fee on a debit card. An additional fee for someone using a Credit card is ok but not a debit card. He said "Oh". I told him I could pay with a check if he wanted. He said, "I guess I could take a chance". So I wrote him a check for the $635.00 and he handed me a hand written invoice. No printed business name on it, no part number of the regulator, no tax, just the name Bromley's written across the top. I asked him to at least write on it that it was paid with my check number which he did. Sorry that this is a long story but it gets worse. So I walk out to get into my car and immediately notice the drivers window is full of greasy finger prints from installing the regulator. He was standing there and I asked him if he had a rag so I could at least clean the window. I wiped it down and left. But I IMMEDIATELY drove it to another repair shop that I have used before (and really liked) and had them check out the air conditioner. Never hurts to get a second opinion especially when it involves a few thousand dollars! I waited in their CLEAN customer waiting lounge for only about 30 minutes when the service manager came out and said there is nothing wrong with your pump! He said we did find a small leak, recharged it and replaced the shrader valve on the low side. TOTAL REPAIR WAS ONLY $186.47!!! NOT $1400.00 or more as quoted by Bromley's!! I was relieved but also upset at the same time. Drove home and parked the car. Sorry, but the story is still not over. The next day my wife uses the car and calls me saying the drivers window doesn't go up or down! WTF! It always worked before! I hadn't bothered to check it when I left Bromley's! So I take it back to Bromley's and I am not happy. I had just paid $635.00 to him for a regulator and now it didn't even work! I left the car. About 3 hours later I get another series of text messages (again, not a phone call) saying that the window needs a new modulator. Cost is $656.73 from the dealer plus labor! Again, I call him. I said, "Put the door panel back on I am coming to get the car. And by the way I didn't need a new air conditioner pump I had it repaired for $186 at another shop! It is blowing freezing air! Start it up for yourself and see!" I picked up the car a few hours later and miraculously the window is working great! No, they didn't put in a new modulator but I suspect that when they installed the regulator they found another read more

After joining a few Corvette communities on Facebook I quickly heard about Bromley's corvettes. Upon messaging Doug, he invited me to bring it in for an inspection. No more than two days later Doug sent me a list of recommended repairs and photos of problem areas with the car. This told me that he pays a high level of attention to the details. I brought my 78 Corvette, that I recently purchased, to Bromley's for a new exhaust, a tune up and see if he could improve the performance of the air conditions. When I arrived I was greeted by Doug, the owner. He looked over the car, made a few comments, and listened to me as I explained what I would like done. Doug took the time to not only understand what I wanted but also explain what he believed would be the best course of action to take to get the results I wanted. Before doing any work he inspected the car and provided a quote. When I picked up my vette not only did it sound great but it ran better, cooler and the air conditions was greatly improved. They also adjusted my clutch and I suspect adjusted the shifter linkage and my headlights now mysteriously pops open and closes with purpose. I don't believe in congratulating someone on doing a job right; as that should be the bar that every business should be stationed at. However, I am making an exception for Bromley's Corvettes based on the significant problems I had with my 1978 L-82 corvette in the past two years. It spent much more time in another shop than on the road, with at least 7-8 tows for a myriad of problems. I decided after the last tow that I would not use my normal mechanic, and try a Corvette specialist. Bromley's was a random selection from an internet search, and decided to give Doug a try. I've had the car back for about 3-4 months now, and I've waited to do this review until I had run through the gambit of past failures: sitting over a month in my garage without a start, single short drives, long duration at a stop light or a retail business (20 minutes idling), slow acceleration, punch acceleration, heavy freeway driving, double drives with less than 10 minutes between drives up to 2 hours between drives, etc. Not a failure yet. I was nervous as hell the first few weeks having the car back, fearing a breakdown and not being able to afford the lost time with my busy schedule. Not a single hiccup yet. I am most impressed and relieved that the car is running smoothly, and am no longer an inch away from selling the damn thing. Doug, thank you! read more

I highly recommend Bromley's Corvettes! I have a 78 Corvette that Doug has completed multiple performance upgrades on it to improve it's performance. And now the car runs like a champ.
