It is somebody's house. There is no bicycle repair shop. Looks like a handy man that can fix his neighbors bikes.

The last 3 years have been on the North Shore, where I've had to (through gritted teeth and tears) spend more time driving and sitting in traffic. Over the course of this time, I've been in a LOT of bicycle shops all over the state (including trips to Western MA and the Cape). I now live nearest to Seaside. Being in Manchester - by - the - Sea, I expected it to be full of the typical douches with an added touch of pompous for good measure. However, I have ever been pleasantly surprised to quite like all the staff there. They're super friendly, knowledgeable, always eager to help, and there focus always seems to be on being a good business rather than figuring out ways to take your money. Due to hating driving, I decided on an electric bike, researched, and found they're a retailer of Specialized Turbos. I've owned my Turbo for nearly a year now and have had more than (by my estimates) my fair share of issues. 97% of those issues have been due to electronic/electrical issues - not really bike issues. These guys have gone above and beyond to help me out and keep me on the road. The warranty makes clear that the parts are covered, but not the service. They have really put in the time and effort to get Specialized to cover as much as possible (considering the number of issues I've had since paying a LOT of money for it). And they've always been friendly and super great about it - which is hard b/c I've been quite frustrated numerous times and tend to whine like a baby. Anyway, I really like this place - they're good at what they do and good ppl besides, which is really hard to find together.

The best bike shop in the area. Very friendly and knowledgeable, they steer you towards what is a…read moregood match, not toward a bike or parts that are more than you need, or toward something they are trying to dump on someone. Most importantly, they know how to fix a mountain bike so it shifts and handles properly and try to do so in a short time frame. I highly recommend for the normal to advanced mountain biker/fitness biker. For reference, I ride a good deal and have three bikes for different purposes, but I see myself squarely in the intermediate rider range. Great place!

Upon entering I was greeted by the two staff members with a pleasant hello and the question of how can we help you today? Meanwhile both of these guys were clearly in the middle of assembling/ servicing bikes but didn't seem to mind taking a minute to help me find what I was looking for. This was huge for me as i've been to other shops in the past and have had the opposite experience. One time the staff of another local shop couldn't be bothered to look up from whatever they were doing to assist me when I was literally there to buy a bike... a nice top of the line gravel bike I wanted for a long time..that experience left me so jaded I took my business elsewhere. Long story long that was not the case with these dudes, and after helping me find the helmet and peddles I needed I learned a bunch about the owner Jake and head mechanic Ed. Both of them local to the area - their stoke and knowledge of the neighboring trail systems was wonderful and they even hooked me up w/ a shop water bottle - I've got a zillion bottles but who doesn't love free swag?? Safe to say I left shop more stoked on riding than when I walked in and fully intend to shop here again in the future. Lastly, the aesthetics were modern and major bonus points for the sick grunge station they had on!

They…read moreare extremely knowledgeable and they have "fun things" in the store that I usually do not see in my local bike store (e.g. an air horn for my bike or a crash kit in case of an accident this will automatically call for assistance). I really like going in there an just chatting with them and other customers. Several months ago I was speaking with a gentleman that builds those "frankenbikes" (as I like to call them) that had to be over 10 feet high. He even asked me if I wanted to try it. That would have been fun but explaining to the emergency room doctor what happened would have been a story in and of itself. Whenever I am in Salem (a few times a year) I make sure to visit them. If you are into cycling Jerseys you have to get one from them. I have a few different ones from them and whenever I ride wearing one people are always asking me about the Witch on a Bicycle on the back of my Salem Cycle Jersey. Salem Cycle Jerseys are some of my favorite Jerseys.

While I was there people stopped by with their bikes for repairs from fixing flats to tuneups. Please note that with the resurgence of interest in biking during the pandemic plus the wave of e-bike popularity, you must book a maintenance appointment online ahead of time. They are currently booked for 3 weeks! Clearly Marblehead/Salem Cycle are experts and well-loved by their clientele. They put me on a great new e-bike with little fuss and very reasonable timeframe. I knew what I wanted and they got it assembled it, and went over all the operational details with me. Couldn't ask for more! Thanks!

This may be lengthy but it's well deserved. I've purchased e-bikes online (direct purchase from…read moremanufacturer) but was never satisfied and when issues arose, ex.: the bike stopped working with 164 miles on it, that company didn't want to cover it. I decided to shop local instead and after a lot of research, I thought that it would be worth my while paying a visit to Seacoast e-Bikes. Wow!! Am I glad I did. The lady that assisted me was not only very knowledgeable but extremely patient and made sure that my questions were answered. She pulled no less than a half dozen bikes for me to try and seemed vested in making sure that I had the right bike with the right fit. She wasn't pushy or even tried to oversell. You could see that she had my interest, just like if she was the customer. The service didn't stop there. After picking my bike, they made sure that it was well adjusted and road worthy. The owner even checked up on me to see if everything was in order. While waiting for my bike to be ready, I also witnessed how returning customers were treated ... It reassured me that I made the right choice. We have another bike to buy for this upcoming season, and we are heading to Seacoast e-Bikes without even looking at other dealerships because they do customer service the old fashion way. BTW, I am not affiliated with the shop, the owner(s) or the staff. I was not paid nor even asked to write this review. I am just a VERY Satisfied customer.

I have put over 400 miles on it and it's going strong. I bought the bike from a dealer, Seacoast e-Bikes, because it is a fairly complex piece of machinery which requires some amount of care and feeding. Just about the time the bike was ready for its' tuneup (free at Seacoast), I got a flat tire. The flat was in the rear wheel with all sorts of connections to the chain, motor, gears etc. I dropped the bike off at Seacoast and the fixe the flat, and did the tuneup for a total of $50. If I had bought the bike via mail order I would have paid a lot more. They even dropped the bike off at my house free of cost. Shane, Frank and Steve and the rest of the staff really care about their customers, and know bike maintenance and repair cold. There is no reason to buy an e-bike mail order, because sooner or later it will need service and maintenance. If I could give 10 stars on this review I would. s
