However, a recent bad experience there has soured me on returning. I have never owned proper biking shoes and am in the market for clip-ons. I went to the store and explained that I needed biking shoes for wide feet, ideally something with a wide toebox. The employee offered me one pair of shoes that were E's, and when I said they were far too tight, he pretty bluntly and unapologetically said, "Well, that's all we've got." One of the benefits of not going straight to an online retailer is that you could get advice from a live retailer. I asked if there were any brands he might recommend I look into to find something that would fit my feet. His response: "This is the only one we've got." I've given 2-Stars as a compromise between the good tuning services I've gotten before and the horrifically negative and dismissive customer service I received.

Two young employees in the shoe department were focused on restocking; after fifteen minutes of waiting, I asked one of them for assistance. The two young employees avoided eye contact and the one I asked for help from told me the other employee would help me - I waited another ten minutes and neither stopped restocking to help me. I felt invisible, and angry, that I even bothered driving the 30 minutes it took to get here. I was planning on buying at least two expensive pairs of shoes for the upcoming school year - but alas, I'll be looking elsewhere. Not sure if the pressure to restock is so great from higher-ups or if the two young workers were simply avoiding working with customers. Either way, I will NEVER be back in this Dick's as there is clearly something wrong in this location. Looking at the other Yelp reviews, I'm not the only one with a bad shoe department experience. Off we went on the Cotton Valley Rail Trail for a three hour tour headed to Wolfeboro. Lots of stops and starts along the way as she became more familiar with the bike. I'd recommend a longer ride so you'd have more time in Wolfeboro for lunch, ice cream or exploring the shops. The trail is well maintained and an easy ride. The Aventon bikes were in excellent condition and we had the chance to try a couple of different models. Overall an excellent experience and I highly recommend E-bike Expeditions and look forward to renting from them again.

There was one lady that followed me around was peeking around the merchandise racks and wouldn't let up. I get it's your job have an idea of who's in your store but at that point where you follow and lurk that's when you lose people. The manager was also very rude and you could clearly tell the rest of the store took after him for their personalities. This store needs to really figure stuff out or they will be like the rest of the retail stores closing.
