We had already booked a 5 day vacation with 6 other friends in Cape Cod to do the rail trails and were majorly disappointed. Kory, the store manager, offered us rental e-bikes for that trip at no cost. So our party plans could continue. We are both in our late 70's with health issues and need a little assistance to bike up the hills and keep up with our younger friends. The Townie 8D was perfect. The Bosch motor was low, centrally located and actually improved my balance! It shifted smoothly and the power was easy to use. The tires kept my bike stable when I hit a patch of sand. We were able to bike all day on one charge. The day we biked 46 miles, I used 1 power bar and my husband used 3 bars. We had biked the Cape Cod rail trail many years ago on our honeymoon and are thoroughly grateful for the assistance from Kory and Gorham Bike and Ski for helping us achieve our wedding anniversary bike trip. It feels as if the e-bikes have opened up a whole new life for us.
