I had a manicure and pedicure before attending a wedding, and a friend had a manicure at the same time. We thought they did a great job, especially with my pedicure. We had Lin and Helen for our services. There was an older woman working on clients, and she was talking to herself and seemed impatient with her woman. The client was not pleased with her pedicure, but was charged anyway. Perhaps you need to choose carefully who you have work on your nails. read more

I have been coming for about a year so I would say I have become more of a regular. Well I liked one lady got used to her now she is gone. Then I started going to Sophia, but when I call to make a appointment they are like sure she is here come on in. I come in and they did NOT give me her. But she is working!! What is the problem??? Do you think I do not know the difference? I know exactly who she is. The other lady likes to pick and did not even say her name. Finally I am like what is your name. She says Lay clearly again not Sophia. I would have went to another place closer to me had I known they wanted to do a bait and switch. Oh and this is the second time they did this. Great place. Came here for a mani and pedi. Since today was the 1st time he sun has been out it was pretty busy, but I was seated right away for my mani. I showed the girl (she must be the owner/manager) what I wanted and she delivered a simple manicure. I also had a pedi done by another girl who was very polite and quiet (I like to relax when I get pedis. Don't really like the small talk). She was quick but very great pedicure. My first time coming here and so far loved it! Came in to get gel pedi and gel fill in - also fix a nail that I broke right in the middle- plus a different shape. The guy I saw was Robby ( or Robbie) and he was fantastic and extremely nice with me. I had a broken nail (where literally half of my real nail from underneath was coming off from its' nail bed) and he was very patient & gentle with it bcuz he saw it was painful even when I touched it. He glued it back and made sure I was pain free. Although he didn't charge me to fix my nail, or to change my nail shape (which is $5 more) I definitely loved my first visit here and look forward to coming back! read more

I paid almost $100 for SNS manicure and a pedicure, this is the most I have ever been charged, and I have been to a number of places to get this same services done for less. The same day I left, my pedicure chipped. I went back two days later for them to fix it, and even that chipped within a day or so. Very disappointing. Now less than a week later my SNS manicure is even starting to chip and deteriorate! Every other time I have gotten this service done it has lasted almost a month! This was my worst nail experience in memory based on the quality of the work. Two stars because maybe it was an isolated incident, or the particular technician I had... they were friendly enough, but the poor quality of the manicure AND pedicure definitely left a sour taste in my mouth. Sarah did a fantastic job on my nails. I asked for SNS pink and white dipping powder and got exactly that (at such an affordable price.) I came in with oval nails and told her I wanted them to be more square with round edges and she did made it happen. In addition to making sure I got what I wanted she was also so sweet. I started coming to Glossy Nails recently. I love coming here. I love going to Helen! I highly recommend checking this nail salon place.

I took my mother to get her nails done with Helen, who I had seen 2 years ago and had decent experiences. But yesterday I was so displeased with her service and attitude. If you are not in a mood to service customers and do your job accordingly then you shouldn't take clients. First when I told her what I wanted to get done for my mom she tried to change my mind because she said it was too expensive but I told her it's ok because price was not a problem. I told her I wanted a liquid gel fill and she didn't use the pink gel but the clear one. So she charged me for the more expensive one and used the cheap quality one. My mothers polish was spotty and nails were not shaped the same, when I brought it to her attention she didn't like it at all. I walked away for a second and she stared straight through my mother as if she didn't exist and even after my mom smiled at her she did not budge. We left and didn't even continue with pedicure we had scheduled. She still had the audacity to charge me $65 for the horrible job she had completed. And never once stopped to ask why we were leaving and if there was any way she could fix it. She was ok with us walking out the door. All she said was $65. I spend about $140 every 2 weeks on my nails and all I ask is for quality work. If you are seeking that you will not find it here. Stay away!!! read more

Unfortunately I need to update my review. They were great while it lasted but then even if you made an appointment with a specific person and drive to have that appointment, "something" always either came up or the person wasn't working that day. I don't like that. The owner asked me to write a review which I did and was happy to do. However, I found that the service declined so significantly after that, I needed to update the review. I stayed to have services anyway, two different occasions although they were pleasant and "sorry", the services were not up to par at all. I was not happy with the services at all but left 3 stars since if I average out the experiences (between 4-5 star and 2) it would be "okay". t started coming to Glossy Nails almost a year ago and I've always been very happy with their services. I get an Organic Pedicure which includes a nice long massage and a complete pedicure. I find that many salons do a great job initially but over time, they seem to rush. This has not been the case with Glossy Nails. They make sure they do a good job every time and don't skimp on the massage or time they spend. I love that! I've done some eyebrow waxing and have regular pedicures and manicures. Everyone in the salon is friendly and helpful. Although I usually go to the same person ( I do have a favorite), any time I've used someone else, I've never had a complaint. The owner always checks to see how things are going and to make sure her clients are happy. I'm very happy with them and highly recommend them. read more

It was terrific! $28 with a full leg and foot massage, full foot exfoliation, hot stone massage, hot towel wrap, and of course nail painting meticulously done! Today was my second trip to Glossy Nails. I took my daughter with me. We both got gel manicures and spa pedicures. My last gel manicure and spa pedicure lasted over three weeks! This is by far the longest I have ever had a manicure last. My pedicure looked fresh and chip free, but I needed a trim. We had fantastic service. This salon is clean, friendly, and relaxing. They also include extras that made me feel pampered. The pedicure included a hot stone massage and the manicure ended with a paraffin dip. This salon is a hidden gem-if you're in Springfield/Annandale/Burke this is definitely the place to try. Next time I'm going to try the SNS brand dip manicure. read more

Was excited to go to get my nails done with my sisters, it was my youngest sisters first time at a nail salon and we were so excited for her to experience it. It was unfortunately a horrible experience. Bad service and even worse treatment. The lady who did my nails didn't seem to be properly trained on how to paint nails. She put the coats of polish on too close together so when it started to dry, it immediately wrinkled. I asked her to fix it and she gave me a very rude looked and looked at another employee there and then laughed. The same thing happened again. At this point the lady who painted my nails first had gone on break so I went to another lady and she had me pick another color and she painted my nails quickly and not very carefully. We left and my sister and I were so upset that that was my youngest sisters first experience at a nail salon. Later that day I noticed that my manicure was already chipping which is ridiculous, but I couldn't go back in at the time so today I decided to go back in and ask for my money back. Most of the polish was chipped and it was extremely dull.. honestly i could do better than that if I painted my nails myself but I went to the salon so a professional could paint them, so that's what I wanted. I get there and walk in and the first Lady who painted my nails yesterday glanced at me and rolled her eyes and asked me what I needed without even looking at me (and she wasn't doing anything except sitting with her feet up) I told her I wanted my money back and every single employee in the place was snickering and she turns around and laughs then looks back at me and tries to hide it. I said I wanted my money back again and showed her the receipt and she sulks over to the register and slowly starts getting money out, then she takes my hands and takes my polish off, which I get, I'm getting my money back so it's within her rights to take the polish off but it felt very spiteful. It was already ruined, I wasn't trying to play them or something. This whole time every employee in the place was glaring and laughing at me. I won't be going back there. I am disappointed beyond words. I was treated badly and I don't think I did anything to deserve that treatment except ask for her to fix my manicure twice yesterday. I'm even more upset that my youngest sister didn't have a good experience because the employees were so rude. I have been a customer for over a year now. Today I called for an appt. and was told they are not taking appt.'s. I was fine with this, When I went there at 4pm it was quite busy as was expected due to the holiday and school vacation next week. I asked the woman at the desk if I could wait for Chao who I had seen a few times and really liked. I told them I would wait until she was available. Chao came out about 30 minutes later and started wrapping my nails to take the prior dip off. At that point (remember it is crowded) the owner began to chastise me as well as Chao telling me that there are no appts. and I had to wait for someone else. Remember, I was willing to wait until Chao was done and told them that. I left with foil on my fingers embarrassed by the public chastising of myself as well as my talented and delightful nail tech who was just trying to please everyone. I will not step foot in there again. There is a nail salon across the street whose prices are the same. They are cleaner, quieter and welcoming. I will return to them again. Apparently this facility has become so big that the individual customer no longer matters. read more

The prices are good so we gave it a try. My daughter had a kid pedicure and loved it. They were so nice to her. I had a stone pedicure and it was good. They don't use liners on the tubs. The tools were in sterilized packages. I had a plain manicure and that didn't go well. The lady cut two of my nail cuticles too short and I bled for several minutes! The clear nail polish had blood streaks several minutes later. I left with band aids on 2 fingers. They apologized but I was not given any discount or future coupon. I'm leaving for vacation with band aids on my fingers now. The whole reason I went was to have great nails for my trip. I still tipped well because I knew she felt really bad about what happened. I know these things happen sometimes, and I may have gotten a new person, but the fact that no one offered any discount or compensation is the reason I won't go back. read more

While the decor could use some updating and the overall feel is nothing fancy, all of the techs here do an excellent job. I discovered this place after getting a terrible gel manicure--for my sister's wedding, no less. I came here to have the polish removed and, on a whim, decided to have my nails redone. The tech was not only careful and meticulous, but took her time which I really loved (I have never enjoyed the rush other nail salons are in to get people in and out the door). To my surprise, when I came back a second time and was assigned to another tech, her work ethic was exactly the same as the former with the quality of her job being identical. The same goes for the third tech I was with on my third visit. I love the women here--most of them are incredibly friendly. While others can be quiet, it matters little to me.
