Looking to get a nail color that looks nothing like the sample? Well I got the place for you. First, the color was no where near the color on the fake nail. I wanted a light pink- almost a coral and the color I got was an off white. It was way off. Second, the shaping on my toes is awful. So crooked and sharp. Third, it was $45 for a fill with just regular nail polish. Yes FORTY FIVE DOLLARS. I've never spent close to that. They charged $30 for the fill, $10 for the nail polish and $5 for shaping. WHAT?! $5 just for filing which you need to do anyway? And $10 for regular nail polish when it didn't match the color I wanted and should be covered in the price for the fill?! Lastly, they had a whole bar but I never got asked if I even wanted a water. The ONLY good thing that came from this is the shape of my nails. BUT I showed her a picture of the shape I wanted and I still had to tell her where to file more. Couldn't be more disappointed. I will be returning to my old nail place. I only tried this place out bc it was super close to where I live. But I will NEVER be back here again. read more

Gigi did my nails great but she's gone now. I was assigned someone else and my mani/ pedi cost $30 more today than two weeks ago. I was charged extra for shaping and topcoat. Seriously??? Me and my mom went here for the first time today and our experience was amazing! Her dip French manicure was beautiful and Amy did these flower nails for me which I am in love with! Despite my better judgment I went and tried again. I needed my shellac (gel) redone. I checked in at 9:30. I didn't leave the building until after 10:45. The lady I had was very sweet but incredibly slow. It took her almost an hour to take the gel off, reshape and clean up my nails. The gel is bubbly, has creases in it from uneven brush application, and a couple of them don't even reach the cuticle. They're all bumpy and uneven. Overall not happy with them yet again and will not be returning. read more

I came here dressed nice once and everyone was super attentive and nice to me and helpful. Two weeks later I came in my work clothes and work boots after a long work day and everyone took one look at me like I was trash and ignored me. I waited so long for anyone to even acknowledge me. Everyone else was offered a complimentary drink except me. I was so angry and hurt I almost left. I came back two weeks after that dressed nice again, and I was greeted warmly right away. After that, I decided never to come back again. If you can't value me as some who's in work clothes, then I'm not gonna spend my hard earned money here. Even when you make an appointment you still have to wait. They have prices listed online but they charge you more every time at check out. They charged me $5 for my 3 year old daughter polish and then $9 the next time I came. They charged me $38 for a refill as listed on the website and then $45 the next time I came. I was excited to visit a new nail salon, looked at it online, photos looked really nice! The receptionist was very unprofessional. Right when my sister and I walked in we signed in and I told her I wanted a basic mani pedi, she gave me the menu to look at and told me to pick, I reiterated that I wanted just the basic one, and she snapped rudely that I needed to pick from the menu bc she needed to put it in the system. I told her which one I wanted from the menu with their unique names (I guess it was like me ordering a medium coffee instead of grande at Starbucks; ok my bad..?)" this interaction wasn't even a big deal, I even laughed at myself for confusing one of the names of the services I picked. To be honest, I was willing to let it go but as I walked around to pick a color she became defensive and said "don't judge my face, that's just how I am" and I told her I wasn't judging her but that it seemed like she was rushing me. It rubbed me the wrong way, and then she engaged in conversation with another client defending herself about how that is how she is, and she then recanted that another client had accused her of being racist. At that point I became uncomfortable and just left, usually when people defend themselves about not being racist unprompted it's because they probably are and I didn't want to stay around to find out. read more

Terrible Customer Service. Reasons not to visit. -Nail Tech Dishonest -Appointments not honored -Unorganized -Passive Aggressive Management Back Ground. I live fairly close to this nail salon and had extremely high expectations. I made an appointment with Stacy (Nail Artist) at for Dip and I was fine with anyone doing my pedicure. I checked in using my telephone number shortly after my arrival. I sat at the bar like I was asked and waited for more than 15 mins for my first service. When the tech was almost finished the manager approached me and asked if I was ready for Amy to do my nails. I said excuse me, I believe my appointment was booked with Stacy. She left and verified since claimed her computer didn't show it. She came back an said I'm sorry the computer didn't show me you had an appointment with Stacy. I then showed her my text messages and she said that it was two separate systems and apologized. I asked her to let me think about what I wanted to do. So, the manager left and never returned. The tech, Le finished my pedicure and proceeded to put the temporary shoes on and I asked her to put my sandals on since I wore them to ensure my nails didn't get messed up. She never returned to put my shoes on. But, she did say thank you when she saw I put my shoes on myself 15 mins later. I proceeded to the counter and the manager said your total is $40. I told the manager, that I was disappointed that the only thing she had to say was sorry. I asked why she didn't check back with me about my nails and she said that my nail tech told her that she asked me about my nails and I told that I didn't want them done. So, that was a complete lie. When I asked the manager about the text messages that I received about my dip appointment the manager said I wasn't the person that she spoke to when I booked the appointment. When I told her that I was disappointed with the level of service that I received today, she said what would you have liked me to do? I told her that it's the owners job to teach her how to resolve mistakes. She said well I told you sorry. Let me tell you something, I will not return! My patronage was not valued. No, free art, 10% off this time or next booked appointment, no I'm sorry I'll make sure I book Stacy for your next appointment. All I got was sorry. I have learned that sorry means nothing to some people. It's just a word people use for continuous mistakes or disappointments. Katy really has some great salons, but this isn't one. They have a full bar with a nice chandelier but everything that glitters isn't gold. Before I forget, I asked to have my dip and pedi done at the same time and I was told there is no guarantee. While I was there a lady came in after me and was able to get both her nails and feet done at the same time. If you value your time and money, don't go here. read more

The pedicures are great. But the nails techs can be a little bit more nicer. She took of my old set and she complained how long it was going to take to soak off and take off. She continue doing my nails and try to tell me to use shellac or dip because it easier and "last longer". I do powder because it last long and harder to break (or what I thought so). I also went shorter than what I usually do. Another customer came in after she glued my tips on waiting for my tech to fix her nails because the tech messed it up the day before and the customer had to come back. The owner asked her twice during my sit down how long it was going to take. After the second time the nail tech rushed my left hand to hurry up to help the other customer. The next day I pressed a key on the keyboard and a nail broke....I called right when it happened and express that it broke. He said I can come back in a fix it so I asked if it would cost because majority nail salons give you 10 days. He said yes I would have to pay due to it being a break on my end. Pricing if you get your nails done is $5 for add-on like length and color and taking it off. Definitely feel like I'm being generous with the stars but one full star goes for my pedicure by Stacy. I will never go back and I will continue going to my usual nail salon. It's honestly not worth all the popularity on Instagram. It definitely about hospitality. read more

I am going to start with the good first and foremost. Gloss is a very clean establishment and the nail Tech Tiffany is great at what she does. Now let me explain why I am giving this establishment a one-star and do not plan to return... 1. I booked Tiffany for myself, along with a pedicure for me and my daughter. About halfway through our pedicure I say excuse me but will Tiffany be doing my nails? Reply from staff...wait are you getting your nails done? Not only did I explain what I wanted when I booked my appointment but also checked it off on the page I received when we arrived. So my daughter and I had to wait an extra 45 minutes because they had sat someone else in her (Tiffany's chair). That day she was overbooked and rushed which meant my nails were less than stellar. I excused this. 2. I booked Tiffany again received my confirmation for my appointment and when I arrived they had someone else she was working on. Now any female knows it takes at least an hour to an hour and a half to get your complete manicure (acrylic nails, shape, file, and design). This means my appointment is now pushed by 30 minutes. No problem I'll wait. I was nice enough to excuse this incident as well. 3. Final straw for me on my next appointment I, unfortunately, was running 5 minutes behind did they have her wait for me? Absolutely not. When I arrived the young lady told me that because I was late Tiffany had just started on another customer and I would have to wait an hour. NOT HAPPENING. I tried giving them a chance, but the lack of care for my time or the fact that I am a repeat customer told me all I needed to know or so I thought. They are unprofessional and horrible when it comes to scheduling. There are no apologies given and if they overbook Tiffany she rushes and either I request she does my nails over and spend more time or I am stuck with inadequate nails. Just when I thought they could not be more unprofessional they did some shady sh*t. My sister was upset at their scheduling practices and decided to do a review. Yelp and Google. Now they claim Tiffany feels uncomfortable doing her nails because of the reviews and her not agreeing to remove them. My sister did not bash Tiffany so why would she feel this way? She berated the establishment for their LESS THAN ADEQUATE SCHEDULING AND SHADY DEALINGS. How dare you try to force someone to remove their review if they are unhappy with a portion of your services? That alone says a lot about their character. read more

I really wanted to love this place. Staff are sweet and they give you a free drink while you wait. However the quality of the product they use is cheap. The first set of nails I got started bubbling and chipping after a week and a half. The second set I got started bubbling after 3 days. I went back to fix them and they were nice about it. Let's see. Disclaimer: I am not a Karen & rarely even post reviews but mannnn. This place WAS my usual since they opened. I literally went the week it opened and oh how things have changed since then. I really miss the cute little receptionist girl that used to work there, she always made the experience nice and pleasant. At the beginning, the nail techs were very to themselves, very concentrated which I love. Fast forward to now, I usually never get my hands done, only feet. But I said okay let me get gel polish manicure. They were horribly painted. Anyone in their right mind would've complained. So I asked her to please fix it, she became so angry and even pushed my hand and threw her brush I couldnt even believe it lol. So I asked someone else to please fix it -- came out worse. The lady in charge told me to please come back the next morning because she would fix it. Get there the next morning, & they tell me it's just how they do shellac because it would otherwise chip. The manager took pictures so they couldn't "say I was lying" lol what??? Not to mention how now they talk amongst themselves when you complain making it extremely uncomfortable for the customer. They fixed one hand because the other "was fine". Pedicures are great tho :) I've attached my own pictures for reference. If this place were cheap, I wouldn't complain but they are pricey! I wish I could give 10 stars! I have been looking for a new salon after bouncing around the Katy area and receiving less than average service from multiple places. From the moment I stepped into Gloss I was treated like a queen. Amy did my dip and I am so pleased with the outcome. They are just the right length and shape. The thickness is perfect something other places I have been could never seem to get right, always too thick or too thin and cracking. Tracy did my pedicure and it was heavenly. The massage was so good I decided to ask her for a shoulder massage also and it was absolutely amazing. The color selections were awesome! So many choices of beautiful colors.
