I usually have a good experience here, but I went the other day and did not have a good experience at all. I got my toes painted and dip on my nails, and all of my toe polish chipped off by the next day. The top coat on my dip started coming off just a few hours after I got them done. I love this place! They do such a great job and really attentive. The atmosphere is relaxing, the staff friendly, and the overall place is spotless. When I get dip manicures here they routinely last 3+ weeks until they inevitably grow out. I'm glad to hear this place is expanding and will continue to make it my go-to nail salon. Welllll..... the pedicure Tech's were amazing ( make sure you book with Dee and Manny) but the nail tech was horrible. I showed a design of basic orange polish and flower designs. I was told nobody in the building could do the design. I asked if anyone could a basic nail art due to the fact I didn't want 10 orange fingers an finally the magnet on duty insisted yes . During my manicure , the nail tech rushed and begin to ok T every finger orange with orange polish running on the sides and my cuticles. I asked the tech to remove the polish and just pint them clear due to the sloppy job. I had to ask the tech for my hand massage and he insisted the ship was cleaning for closure . I asked to talk to with the manager to share my concerns due to the fact I am a paying customer ($180). She apologized but didn't have a care in the world for my issues . I left with a $40 clear gel mani ( which is horrible ). I just believe, if you're paying for service you should be treated with some type of respect and your service shouldn't be rushed ( due to closing ) . read more

Every pedicure I've gotten here has been excellent! I normally do the Gloss Signature pedi and it's truly relaxing and feels great. I enjoy that you aren't pushed into talking through your whole treatment because I prefer just to sit and relax. I've gotten my actual nails done twice, and both times I was pretty underwhelmed. I asked for natural looking acrylics and got short stilettos, tried again with someone else and they were so squared off that they were noticeably fake. So a definite 5/5 for pedis, but a 4/5 on manis. read more

They didn't even shape and cut my nails before applying polish. Needless to say, my toes look horrible. They also kept trying to push gel polish on my 9 year old. So disappointed today. Came here today to have a relaxing experience with a friend. Her nail stylist was super sweet and kind. however, mine was very rude. she kept asking me several times why my cuticles were the way they were. i have horrible anxiety and pick at my nails and i told her that. the entire time i got them done, she made rude comments like "have you ever even been to a salon before; do you not put lotion on your hands? Why do you still pick at your fingers; does that not hurt you when you do that?" Very embarrassing and very frustrating to me to try to enjoy a salon experience and get bothered with degrading and disrespectful questions. did not say a single thing to me about anything except my cuticles. i would never have her do my nails again. as i do love this salon, i would never ever pay to have my nails done and get talked to the way that she talked to me. my nails look good though lol read more

It's a hit or miss experience everytime you come. It's almost never a wait and they have a fair collection of nail colors. Not all techs seem knowledgeable, I've had to ask them to fix my nails twice. Once because he applied the dip so thin they were chipping by that night. The next because she had the dip uneven and it looked lumpy. Also don't pay attention to the closing time. It's apparently whatever time the manager wants to close, they give no warning, just stop taking customers for the day. He said it was policy yet its not posted anywhere. They're NOT friendly. Can't say they're particularly rude but certainly not friendly. I've been coming for about 9 months and have had only 2 experiences where the tech was warm and friendly. Being turned around despite being there BEFORE they closed is making me think twice about returning. read more

I came in for the first time today and sadly wasn't very impressed. I will start with the things they did well. The wait was very short and they were honest when I asked how long the wait would be (I feel like a lot of other salons will lie and tell you it's shorter than it is). I sit down at the pedicure chair and they hand me two menus: a pedicure menu and a drink menu which was very nice and something a lot of other nail salons forget to do. They had a wide array of drink and pedicure options. Now the not so great: my pedicure start to finish took 15 minutes. I got the classic pedicure for $31. 15 minutes??? It was almost comical how short it was. They used no exfoliating scrub, just lotion. For $31 this made me feel like I was getting ripped off. Other pedicures for the same price last at minimum 30 minutes. The male technician also burned me with what felt like a towel straight out of a boiling pot of water. I told him too hot and I'm not sure he understood me and just kept the towel on me. My feet are still red. The actual pedicure turned out fine, can't complain there. I just would have appreciate more/longer of a service for the price. Will probably continue to go to VSL Nail Spa down the street. read more

Second, the technician developed an attitude when I did not want the $75 pedicure. Next, the scrubbing of my feet and the massage lasted maybe 2 min all together. She was rude throughout the process. She didn't even put on my flip flops before polishing my nails. And lastly I was charged $5 more than the price printed. I will be going elsewhere from now on. read more

I went in the other day for a gel mani and a pedi, and they started my mani first, which I thought was odd. the mani was fine despite a large air bubble left behind in the thumb, but after she asked for my payment, I told her no I had asked for a pedicure, too. After this she seemed very annoyed and the whole pedicure probably lasted 10 minutes including massage and scrubbing. There were still rough spots and dead skin on my feet when I got home because she was not thorough at all. My gel manicure ended up chipping after 6 days. My sister went in recently to try it out for herself, and she asked to soak off and then get a gel cover with normal polish on top, no manicure (usually costs like $25). They started soaking her nails and just left her there, and after 20 minutes she pulled her hands out because they had soaked plenty long, and her hands were red and skin was peeling for soaking them in acetone for too long. Then, they would not listen to what she said and kept arguing with her talking too fast for her to understand, and she finally was just like yes to what they were saying, which ended up being a full gel manicure. In the end, her $25 trip ended up costing her $72. She is not very good at standing up for herself, I would not have let that slide or paid that much after that kind of treatment and not getting what was requested. Moral of the story.... do not waste your money at this nail place. Would give zero stars if possible. read more

I heard about Gloss from a coworker. Omg! This place is awesome. I didn't know what to expect and honestly thought it would be just like all the other shops. It wasn't! It was busy and I was immediately greeted when I walked through the door by a friendly smiling face. I didn't have to wait long to get serviced. My nail tech Christina was amazing!!!! She was careful, gentle, kind, and knowledgeable. She noticed how thin my nails had gotten from the use of the drill at my other shop so we came up with a plan to get them healthy again. I had a cut in my finger and she was so concerned about how it was doing and if it was hurting during my service. That was so sweet. I am in the same industry and Christina gave me such good service that I am inspired. Thank you! I told all my coworkers about this place and I will be back. read more

Got my nails done here. they looked good at first. but then i noticed the nails were bulbous shaped on the end and weren't close to the same length. if asked for square with rounded corners. i got them done wednesday but by saturday, three had come off. i went back in and they fixed them for free but they weren't even close to the same shape or color. the rest of the nails have come off since saturday, except for the 3 i got redone. today, one of my nails cracked. upon further inspection, then nail hadn't just cracked with the dip, it'd cracked my actual nail as well..... i will never go back here. the services are too expensive to keep getting one weeks elegance out of them. read more

Ever since my favorite manicurist moved out of town, I've been looking for a nail shop to call "my own" and I think that I've found it! The Gloss Nail Bar is a relaxing spot perfect for pampering. They have a menu of services to choose from and plenty of color choices whether you prefer polish, shellac or dipping powder. Wow has this place changed! What used to feel like a day of pampering now feels like a factory warehouse operation. How can I relax & enjoy my very expensive pedicure when both the pedicurist and manicurist are working on me at the same time!!!! I felt rushed and uncared about. Both technicians pulling and prodding while I'm sitting holding a bowl of cold water in my lap with my hands soaking! So annoying and uncomfortable! How can I enjoy the now watered down complementary drink, the massage chair and casual chit chat with my girls who are all enduring the same agony??? Also, are these new technicians? I had to tell the manicurist to complete certain steps and the pedicurist did not put a top coat on. In their defense, the manicurist was probably tired from STANDING there trying to work while the pedicurist is telling me to switch feet and having to keep readjusting that bowl of water as to not waste water in my lap. Everytime I go to Gloss, I get different results every time. It is inconsistent, it always depends on who does them. This time, I made an appointment with my usual nail tech, but they gave me some other lady I have never seen before, and I am a regular. When I got my dip powder nails done, I got tips and she did not use a drill so it looked synthetic. You could see the line where the tip started. The total came to $90 and I didn't even get my toes done. But you get what you pay for right? Wrong!!! Two nails broke the next day! I could not believe how poor quality these nails were for the cost. I came back the next day and then the following day, two more broke again. I had to keep returning almost everyday for two weeks when they finally said they made them too thin. They added another coat so I thought the problem was fixed but they still kept breaking so I was still in and out of the salon. Then they said they had to charge me $15 to fix my nails. How can you charge me for your poor work ? My dip nails didn't even last 2 weeks, and it usually lasts months. I was so disappointed, this is the worst Gloss experience I have had. read more
