My Honest Review of GloryBee -- Truly the Worst Customer Service Experience Never trust GloryBee. Let me share exactly what happened so no one else has to deal with this. I ordered royal jelly on 11/9 and paid extra for 3-day shipping. I was supposed to receive my $500 order on Wednesday, 11/12. Instead, I received a chapstick and a bee stick -- cheap items worth around $40. When I called customer service, I was polite. But the person on the phone, Joel, was rude and dismissive from the start. He insisted -- 100% sure -- that UPS delivered two packages. I told him clearly: I only got one. Instead of helping, he became mean and started blaming me. Later, I received an email saying the "second package" was delivered Thursday morning and asked me to "check if it's royal jelly." When I finally got home Thursday night, it was another bee stick, not my royal jelly. So I wasted even more time calling again. This time they became nasty, telling me that they would "match my 3-day shipping" like they were doing me a favor. I was still cooperative -- I even put their cheap chapstick and bee stick outside for UPS pickup. Then they sent me a threatening email, saying that if they don't get their $40 worth of chapstick and bee stick back, they will not ship my real order or refund me. They hung up on me abruptly and treated me like I was trying to steal their worthless products. Let's be clear: 1. It's not my fault your warehouse can't pack orders correctly. 2. UPS gave THEM incorrect delivery info, not me. 3. I paid for 3-day shipping and did not receive it. 4. UPS losing or mis-scanning packages is not my responsibility. 5. And now this big company is holding my $500 hostage over $40 of chapstick and a bee stick. Why am I being punished for their mistake and UPS's incompetence? How am I supposed to guarantee UPS will deliver their cheap items "safely" when I don't control UPS? I was even planning to drop the items off at UPS myself on 11/15, but after the rude calls, the threats, and the emails, I don't trust them anymore. GloryBee brags about being a long-standing company since the 1970s, but their customer service is nasty, unprofessional, rude, and threatening. They hang up on customers, talk down to you, and act like you're the problem -- even when you are the one missing a $500 product. They are holding my money hostage because of their own $40 mistake. I'm giving glorybee a 5 star rating ONLY because of the gentleman named Mike France who, after a full day of trying to deal with the actual manager who could not/ would not help me remedy an online order, he made it happen! The worst wholesaler for the Corvallis area! Looking back on some of the reviews, they consistently had five stars several years ago, but recently, the reviews have gone down the toilet, and for a good reason. They are consistently out of stock on numerous items each week, and their prices & minimums to order keep rising. They have recently raised their minimum from $750 to $1,000. $1,000 are you serious?! Even the grocery store sized co-ops can't meet that minimum. Out of every type & size of cocoa powder, out of sugar, out of sunflower oil, out of sorghum flour, out, out, out. Horrible business, and yet there are so few wholesalers anymore, they've just about got me by the short & curlies. read more

I ordered and received Royal Jelly from this company, Glory Bee. When I was searching for organic Royal Jelly, this web company, based in Eugene, Oregon seemed perfect. Then, when it arrived, the label reads "from China". I was wondering how I missed that. So, I went back to the site, I looked again at the product, and there in very blurry letters was the label- Made in China. That is very deceiving to clients. So, I wrote a review similar to this one for their web site review. It was quite a surprise, but they did not even put my review on their site. All the beginning reviews on their site are 5 stars, then the last few pages actually give real reviews with customer complaints. This company should not be trusted. I also read from another reviewer, that raises bees and produces Royal Jelly, that Royal Jelly should have a different color and consistency than the Royal Jelly that Glory Bee is selling. Ordered GloryBee Unfiltered Industrial Grade Beeswax. Major mistake! They sent substandard product. The pictures of the cheese cloth filters from just filtering 3 of the 7lbs show you how tainted the wax was!? Since they have no real customer service and could give two $#! +$ if you got what was described; I think I've figured out the substance. These schysters have sent me beeswax that is polluted with ashes and embers from the summer fires. Lesson learned and will not be ordering anything from this place! I purchased honey sticks in 2019 and early 2020, paid $12 to ship, which was a bit much but was willing to pay for their quality. I went to place another order and shipping 3 packs of honey sticks is $22. Sorry, but that is wayyy to high. No reason to gouge people on shipping costs. Avoid their pinenuts like the plague! I purchased some of their bulk pinenuts from Whole Foods recently and came down with a case of "pine mouth syndrom" or PNS. If you've never heard of that, it's not just you. I hadn't either. And I wish I never had. Turns out the pinenuts that GloryBee imports are from China. The majority of pinenuts from China are a variety called Pinus armandii, which has been deemed unfit for human consumption by the European Union food standard authorities. The FDA is currently conducting research to determine if the US should do the same. Why? Because until recently, that variety of pine was only harvested only for lumber, resin or turpentine. While I wait for a ban on Chinese, and most likely other pinenuts imported from Asia, I am left with the effects of PNS... a bitter metallic taste in my mouth that makes EVERYTHING taste horrible. This can last up to 9 weeks! Thanks for ruining my enjoyment of summer fruits, vegetables, and the entire BBQ season. read more

I guess for what it is.... it has what you need. But I neither make candles, soap or keep bees so I guess I expected more craft type items. And more bee related cute gift items. If that's what you want this is not the spot! They do have some nice honey, spices and oils. read more

GloryBee foods is a huge local success story that still loves to be there for the needs of us little guys. I've received tours of both the warehouse and production facility and I was always impressed by the cleanliness, efficiency, and smiles on the worker's faces at both locations. The Factory Store is a great place for individuals to purchase craft supplies (candle & soap making!), treats as both natural ingredients and ready to eat, as well as all your beekeeping necessities. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, and there's an actual enclosed beehive where you can check out the inner goings-on of a hive! Very cool for both kids and adults. Definitely check GloryBee Foods facilities and their factory store out for yourself--it's worth it. read more

I doing another review for Glory Bees Honey. I was disappointed in some honey that I had received in my resent order. I received a call from Betsy Kimball explaining in detail about some concerns I had with the honey I received. I now have a better understanding about the honey. She did a wonderful job of explaining everything. Thanks so much for the Meadowfoam Honey ( that is the most incredible honey I have ever taste do) and the coconut oil (which is also the best coconut oil I have ever tasted). You can taste the coconut flavor in it. I can't wait to mix the two together. What a healthy spread for toast or just eat off a spoon. I mix 1 cup coconut oil with 1/2 cup honey and mix well, store in a jar and enjoy. I will continue to buy Glory Bee honey and now coconut oil exclusively from Glory Bee. Thanks so much! read more

I visited GloryBee for the first time today in hopes for some local honey to help with my and my husband's allergies. An employee by the name of Jennifer ended up helping me and she was both very friendly and knowledgeable. She pointed out items I wouldn't have known to look for without direction and I left extremely happy and excited to try out what I ended up purchasing. Received my first order of Organic Clover Honey (5#) from GloryBee. It was fantastic nice sweet and creamy. I use it every day in my tea and bragg/lemon drink. I also ordered the Pacific Northwest Clover Honey (11# pail) -have not opened this one yet. I am sure it will be just as good. I have been buying my honey from another business but will continue buying from GloryBee as I do like the honey plus they have a better selection on the pails of honey. Celia G read more

I bought some beeswax last week and it was rancid smelling and did not melt consistently. The sales associate was unhelpful and unfriendly.

My family and I bought 2.31 pounds of the advertised "Fresh Frozen Royal Jelly" from GloryBee. We chose the 2nd day air as recommended and we received the package really hot and it only had one small pack of melted ice next to the Royal Jelly, the item arrived spoiled. They shipped it in a carton box not in a styrofoam box to keep it cool. it was not Thawed as we called to explain. We requested a refund since we assumed that we will receive it at least cold since they had the word "FROZEN" in the title as this does not constitute a valid sale. They denied us the refund after we paid almost $142 for it and the item is not even usable anymore. It made us really agitated with their business and treatment, I would not recommend anyone buying from them. read more

I am buying Raw Honey for a decades and this time I purchased 5 cans of Blackberry Blossom Honey from glorybee which suppose to be pure raw honey but in reality it is far from it, not the same consistency, flavor, feel and taste as I used to have. Also it didn't pass flame test - pure organic honey is flammable artificial is not. May be other select varieties are better but I am not going to know this. read more

When I was looking for directions to the store I was surprised to see this store's low star rating, but I decided to go anyway and see for myself. Well, now I understand. I was the ONLY customer in the store and there were two sales clerks, but neither one could be bothered to take care of me. When one finally answered my question she seemed highly annoyed. This attitude continued throughout my time in the store, until I began to show my annoyance with their very poor customer service. Then the saccharine attitude began to flow faster than the honey they sell. Really folks, save your apparently all important paperwork until after the store is closed, and cater to the customer, or lose their business. Even though I really like the product I bought, I don't know if I will ever buy anything from them again. By the way, the product I bought is about a dollar cheaper online, but as the clerk pointed out to me, " then you have to pay shipping." Ya, well, it may be worth it! Don't let the big warehouse look fool you into thinking you can easily purchase your bulk items here. I went in for 5 gallons of food grade vegetable glycerin and was only able to purchase one single gallon that was on their dismally understocked shelves. I was told everything was in the warehouse which is connected to the store (literally it is just a walk through a door from store to warehouse) but neither of the two sales clerks were unable to procure my request or even another single gallon for me, I was told that; 'I would need to call and order it and it could be shipped to me or I could pick it up at the warehouse'. I think that's ridiculous and imho is no way to run a business. Since I live over fifty miles from Eugene it will be inconvenient at best to now call in my order and then make a return trip to Track Town USA. for something that was within the reach of the sales staff the day I came to make my purchase. Too bad the business community in Eugene doesn't think fast on it's feet! read more

If your order arrives correct - great! BUT if you have any issues at all BEWARE!!! I placed my first order with them (in excess of $200.00) and received an email invoice as verification. On the invoice I noticed I ordered two 9 1/8" deep feeders but two 6 1/2" cap & ladders. So I emailed back explaining my error and asked they change the ladders to fit the feeders and I would pay the difference. They replied the change had been made and since there was no cost difference, no problem. When the order arrived the invoice listed both the feeder and the ladders were 9 1/8" but I received the short ladders away. I emailed them back explaining the problem but did not receive reply. After 3 emails (all ignored, no reply) I though there was no hope to get this problem solved. Then in the mail one 9 1/8" cap and ladder arrived, but only one, I needed two. So I emailed them again explaining the new problem and asked if they wanted me to return the 2 short caps & ladders. No reply again. 2 additional emails still no reply. So I went to a local shop and purchased what I needed, while there I told the owner about my difficulty with GloryBee and she said she refuses to deal with them any longer for the same reasons. Her orders had been shorted and she told me they never would respond to emails so she could not advise her customers when to expect their purchases. She did say the shortages were filled eventually but she could not run her business like that. She thinks GloryBee has just gotten too big and can not handle their business in a reasonable fashion, I think they employ customer service personnel that got rejected from ComCast. read more

I purchased fresh royal jelly from them online and the service is very inconsistent. First time, the packaging was fine and items came via 2-day shipping with an ice pack. Next purchase, they failed to package the item w/an ice pack, even though they state that they do this for fresh royal jelly and they charge you extra for the next day or 2 day shipping. I called to complain and the man who picked up the phone yelled at me that the item was fine and that the product didn't need an ice pack. I e-mailed them and a woman apologized & sent another package with an ice pack along with a coupon code for future purchase. Incidentally, the coupon code didn't work (which I e-mailed them about and they never responded to me about). The last purchase I made had no labels on the jar or the packaging (bubble wraps) to indicate that it was the organic fresh royal jelly and when I contacted them, the service rep to check the lot number on the jar and when I e-mailed back to state that the jars had absolutely no markings or stickers to indicate that they are organic, she just e-mailed me back to take them at their word that the items they ship out is what I ordered. Attaching invoice that states it is a certain product isn't the same as seeing a product marked. I only bought items here because my mother wanted things from them but I wouldn't buy here for myself based on my experience. read more
