The staff (especially the cooks) are utterly incompetent! Wasted over an hour of my life for food that NEVER came out! Waitress told me They claim it was a problem with the chicken, however other chicken orders came out for customers who came well AFTER ME! I'm not sure why the vicious hatred toward "Regulars" like myself. Wish they told me in advance they didn't want me, would've save 70+mins of my life. As all of my friends & family know I love glory days & eat there very often :) I usually go to the Manassas location but being in the Gainesville area we stopped at this one. I've been here once before & the food was not great, but I decided let's give it another shot it could have just been that time. Well our server brought our smaller children huge glasses to drink out of (they all got kids meals), we were nervous about them spilling it so we were even saying in front of him to the kids be careful not to spill their drinks (don't know why 8 year olds would need a tall full glass) so anyways we order & eat. As I remember before the food was too done & just tasted awful :( When it comes time to pay I was charged $3.59 for my daughter lemonade that she took maybe 3 sips out of, this in a kids cup is $0.99! Maybe I should have said something right when he brought the drinks out but I figured we didn't ask for these big drinks & they got kids meals so maybe it will just be charged as a kids drink like they should have gotten (none of them got refills or even drank half of these glasses) Well next time I know now to ASK that it come in a kids cup (I've never had to before they've always brought it in a kids cup when the kid has a kids menu right in front of them & they're young) The boy wasn't too friendly & acted like it was a huge deal to change it or ask a Manager so we were just going to pay that, but I figured why am I spending almost $3.00 extra when it should have came in a small kids cup to go with her kids meal & the kids menu right in front of her & shes 8 years old! Finally after me asking to speak to the Manager he did & she changed it so that was nice of them but I still don't think we will be going back to this location. The service wasn't even so bad & we could get over the whole ordeal but the food just is not good :( I'm definitely sticking to the Manassas location, they're awesome & I've never had a problem! read more

So... to be fair, I stopped here a on the Tuesday after the 2016 winter storm, Jonas. So the area was still somewhat digging out from 2+ feet of snow. That being said, it was nice to be out of the house and have someone else do the cooking for a change. And to top it off, Taco Tuesdays for $5.99?? Three people, three different orders of tacos: chicken, pork, and shrimp, a side of fries, and some guac. Our server was awesome; the fries were great. And that's about it. The tacos were flavorless and kinda dry. And the kitchen was pretty slow. The food came out warm, and our server checked on us consistently, so no real complaints there. But, had it not been for the $6 price point, I think I'd have been more disappointed than I was. Stopped in for a burger during Happy Hour. I sat at the bar and ordered the "Classic" burger with fries, Prime Beef edition for an extra $1.50. The service was decent but happened to be during shift change. Happy hour beer prices are reasonable at $4.99 for a premium craft beer 22 ounces. My burger arrived quickly and was cooked to perfection, the flavor was excellent which is the reason for the 4 star rating. The service at the bar was actually really good albeit somewhat detached more than likely due to the shift change. This is a good spot to watch seasonal sports since they have an abundance of TVs and available tuners to listen to whatever game you came to see. This place would receive 5 stars of they paid a little more attention to cleanliness. read more

The service here is about as bad as it can get. We have lived here for 8 years and we have never been to this restaurant until we were invited here for our little league end of year party. We won't be coming back that is for sure! Initially, they only had one waiter assigned for our party of approximately 40 people. After 1 hour and 15 minutes we still did not have our food. They kept saying oh it will be here in just a minute, I just checked on it. Imagine my surprise when a very rude young woman came out to tell us our ticket was lost. Are you kidding me? I know mistakes happen, but after you have basically lied to me multiple times, I'm not going to be a happy customer. Manager has no social skills what so ever. Get your act together and teach your staff how to handle mistakes without being abrupt and snarky with customers. read more

Sunday March 1st. Server could not be less attentive if she tried. Forgot stuff we ordered, was unfamiliar with what comes on in our order. When we made her aware of omitted items she still forgot to bring the item. No refill on drink either after asking. Head was way in the clouds so hope others experience was more satisfying than ours. Was a very very slow icy afternoon so it was not too many people being waited on. Just one other family in our area...get with the program! New update! Went to Glory Days last night because we wanted to sit comfortably in a booth which another restaurant in the same shopping center Denied us because they only had ONE waitress and I guess it was too far away from the close set up of tables to allow such a thing. So we said...no thank you and left...their loss... strange huh...How do you keep business going by turning away customers? OK getting back to my story...we walk over to Glory Days, myself not so thrilled because of past not so yummy food but everyone was hungry... First thing we got a friendly hello...booth or table? This is my second time being there and will probably be the last time after this incident. I was sitting at the bar having a couple drinks with my friends when I heard a manager yell at a kid who looked to be a teenager and told him to "Get the F**k out of my restaurant." We have been to this Glory Days location twice now and we were highly disappointed both times. Something about our orders were messed up both times we came; the wings were over cooked and dry x2, the chocolate lava cake was dry (sans lava), my boyfriend had to ask multiple times for ranch, orders came out wrong (I ordered the Smoky Memphis style prime cheeseburger...and it came without the seasoning, without the onions, and without the cheese), the waitress was not very attentive, and needless to say, we were far from impressed. read more

Really bummin'. We use to enjoy their food both on takeout and dine in but something has happened with this place. Have ordered there many, many times but unfortunately no more. Last time we ordered take out my wife got food poising from their steak salad. My food was stone cold and the portions were ridiculously sad. Most recently we dined in to give them another shot and the service was horrendous, the hostess was obviously not happy being there and the food was really tasteless and overcooked. Given no kids menus, our initial drinks took easily 20 minutes, Then our food another 45 minutes. all of this with about 5 tables with people. I think the manager has been there quite some time so its obviously become too comfortable for him to try and make any improvements. A real shame! read more

I visited the Gainesville location on 7/8/17. This was my first time visiting this location. I've been to a few other Glory Days in the past and have not had great service. I must say that Tina was very knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions I had along with making some great suggestions. The service was great and food was also. This is my very first review on Yelp, so you know something is driving me to post this. Our dining experience inside Glory Days has always been good, so we thought we'd support them by ordering takeout during the COVID-19 thing. Unfortunately, we found this place was ill-prepared for takeout only. I placed and prepaid the order using the app at 3:40 PM on Mother's Day. I arrived at 4:00 to wait by curbside. I saw 5 cars arrive after me, receive their order, then leave. I walked in at 4:25 and was told they were waiting on one item. I did not receive my order until 4:35. When I got home, the fries were soggy and the burgers we ordered (medium well) were undercooked. In addition, one of the sides was substituted for another without my knowledge. I had gone through their takeout 3 weeks before during a busy period, so I thought I would give them another chance. At that time, I waited a long time for my order as well. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Never again. read more

Average across the board based on years of experience. "Meh" is definitely the word. It's fine, per se, but "fine" to me doesn't translate to a solid three stars. One reviewer called it "the best sports bar in G'Ville." Well it's pretty much the only "sports bar" in G'Ville. The penchant for hiring high school students pervades the service in my experience. Not incompetent; just inexperienced. Prices are a little more than I'd prefer for such a place. Less expensive for what it is might garner another star. read more

In 2015 we asked to reserve a table for my son's graduation party. We were very pleased with the service and having a sort of corner for this get together making it sort of private. We went to Glory Days to watch the cubs game many days the last two Falls since we do not have cable TV and really enjoyed the service the waitress even went to school with one of the cub players., being able to hear the game and the food. We went there quite often and especially enjoyed the Friday fish special.I We went back with friends on St. Pats day and enjoyed the Irish food. I think this is our favorite sports bar and if the Chicago Cubs do well this year we will be back a lot. read more

Today was the first time that we have eaten at this location, we generally eat at the Glory Days in Culpeper. Everything was pretty normal up to the point that we ordered our food. After that we seemed to be forgotten. We all finished our cherry cokes one by one and looked around wondering where our waitress had gotten off to. My glass going empty isn't a reason for a bad review or tip but in my experience it's is a sign of things to come. Our waitress brought our appetizer then went off to get us refills. When she brought them back there were no cherries in our cherry cokes. Again not huge but if you have kids that look forward to this it's a bit disappointing. My son asked the waitress for cherries and she did bring us a small bowl of cherries. Though we have had this happen in Culpeper when the waiter/waitress saw how much the kids liked the cherries. When our food came everything looked as we ordered it and appetizing. I ordered the Pigskin Burger medium-well as I have in Culpeper many times. My first bite or two tasted as good as any of the other times I've had it but the burger was very pink inside. I really hate to send food back, so much so that I know I haven't since my son was born 8+ years ago. I continued to eat the burger, after all it didn't taste bad to me but when I got to the point that blood or at least a pink liquid was coming out of my burger I just couldn't continue. I showed the waitress, she apologized and took it away to bring me another. When the waitress brought my new burger everyone else was about done eating, my burger was missing lettuce, tomato, onions and I could see something was off about the pork on top of the burger. I contemplated eating it as it was but I decided I should try to enjoy it so I called our waitress over for my toppings. While she was away I took a closer look at the pork on top of my burger. It looked strange because it seemed they put one small squirt of barbecue sauce on the pork leaving most of it untouched and white in color. I also cut my burger to check that it was medium-well....nope still pink inside but no blood so good enough for me. When I started to eat this second burger I immediately wished that I just kept the first bloody burger. This burger without much barbecue sauce was extremely dry and lacked the flavors that made it one of my favorites. I tried to just eat it to get it over with but every bite I took was just insulting and with every bite I became a little more angry. All I could think about was talking to the manager so they could relay for me these were the two worst Pigskin Burgers I have ever eaten and if they had been my first I would never eat them again. I did call over another waiter and ask him if he could get the manager for me (yes our waitress was not around much for our dinning experience). I explained to the manager I had eaten this meal more than a few times at another location and these were terrible by comparison. She was polite, apologized, offered me another meal, had the charge removed and took my plate to the kitchen to talk to them. She did come back again after talking to them to apologize again. In summation the waitress's service was poor, my meal was bloody then dry and lacking taste though everyone else's food was good. I was fairly upset on the way home and we joked about it for quite a while to ease my aggravation. In the end I would never eat here again and I did sign up for yelp just to share this. read more

Loud server talking and laughing at empty bar, kitchen noisy. Meal came out about 2 minutes after appetizer so was cooling before I got to it. Open inside door when you come in but I guess they don't care once you have eaten and are leaving. Yikes. Only good thing was a decent server who checked back but I have to say I should have asked for a manager to address the food and noise. This was at 4:30 when there was hardly anyone there. First things first, I will offer a fair warning for those who are thinking of coming here to watch NFL Sunday ticket, STAY AWAY - it is absolute mayhem. They don't stay true to the tvs the assign to the games, the service is dreadful, and the volume boxes drain their batteries fast. On any other day, the service is still bad, the food is mediocre at best and definitely overpriced. Buffalo Wild Wings is a much better bet in all aspects. read more

My bestfriend and I go to this location of Glory days every Monday to take advantage of their appetizer deals and 5.99 burgers. Today, we had Akiko as our server and we were very nicely greeted. We got our drinks, ordered our appetizers, and then ordered our burger Medium. It ended up coming out Medium Rare and we politely asked if they could cook it longer. They not only repeatedly apologized, but they took the initiative to just completely remake it. The manager on duty even approached our table to apologize for it. I work in the restaurant business and know that everyone makes mistakes, it is how you fix the mistakes is what matters. We quickly got the correct burger and they again apologized, everything else tasted great and we ended up getting the check. The manager took off the burger without telling us because of the mishap. Although completely unnecessary, what an amazing gesture! I did not get the name of the manager, but I could not be more satisfied with the extremely attentive and welcoming staff that has been hired. Keep up the great work! read more

I used to go here when there weren't many other choices in Gainesville. Went back for the first time in several months the other day, and see no reason to return. My burger was bland and overcooked and we had to go look for our server twice to get our drinks refilled. I have ate here only twice both times it was awful! The waiter was horriable the last time we never got a refill just brought drinks and brought food then brought the bill! My food was wrong it looked awful and was cold my husband ordered a salad it had brown lettuce and i asked for coke and got diet coke my daughter never got her drink the tables were sticky and food all in the floor under our booth and there was dirty silverware on the floor under our booth we went to restroom and the restrooms had not been cleaned in a week it looked like it also smelt like cigerettes so bad awful. No manager came by to check on us and see how our dinner was nor did the server even ask if everything was ok. I do not recommend this place to anyone I will jus stick to Buffalo Wild Wings they have way better service and nicer tv's and more room! read more
