Stereotypical decor and menu, Grains and Grog stood painfully empty on a Saturday afternoon playing music nostalgic to anyone who graduated high school before 2010. I ordered a Manhattan. Hallway through, looking down at the bottom of the glass, I saw two tiny flies floating at the bottom. As disgusted as one can reasonably be, I asked for another one to be made (why I bothered, I can't say. Maybe it was because I had already drank half). I found another small fly in the second before the server left the table. Another fly in the third as well. We didn't finish our meals for obvious reasons. They brought us the check, discounted the manhattans and 50% the check, though I didn't feel I should have paid anything. After paying the check, they said it was a mistake. They brought us the wrong one and would void the sale. The "correct" check they brought us was the full meal sans the 3 botched manhattans. We won't be going back

We started with the OG BBQ pork potato skins, which were generous and packed with flavor. My wife enjoyed her pork schnitzel, though she felt the cut was a bit thicker than ideal. My Cincinnati chili, on the other hand, was exactly what I wanted on a cold winter day--rich, comforting, and deeply satisfying. A great spot whether you're there for the game or just a solid meal.

Karaoke night with a live band playing along -- the band actually pulled people into the show instead of it being just a machine in the corner. Food was perfect. We had the beer-battered onion rings and the Bavarian pretzel. Both worth ordering. The only downside was how you order and close out. Everything is electronic / self-pour. I couldn't figure out the system and had to get staff to help me order and pay. They handled it with no attitude, but if you're not used to tap cards it can throw you. The owner is a little grumpy though and we've heard he stresses when it's busy, but they deserve to be busy. If the divey atmosphere doesn't bother you, but you enjoy excellent food, then, please, check them out. This is our favorite place to have a bit of a date night throughout the week. This prices are incredibly reasonable and fairly cheap for the area and considering how good the food and atmosphere is for our silly selves, we are starting to visit quite often. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable…read more From the moment we walked in, the owner, who was also serving/bartending at the time, was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. My friend ordered the steak and cheese egg rolls, which were listed on the restaurant's online menu. Instead, a steak and cheese sandwich was brought out. When my friend politely explained that this wasn't what she ordered, the owner yelled, "We don't have steak and cheese egg rolls." She pointed out that they were listed on the online menu, and rather than simply explaining that the menu might be outdated or apologizing for the confusion, he became even more aggressive and yelled that he "didn't have an online menu." The situation was completely unnecessary and could have been resolved with a simple, polite explanation. Instead, we were yelled at, treated disrespectfully, and ultimately kicked out. Mistakes happen. Menus can be outdated, items can become unavailable, and orders can get mixed up--we understand that. What we don't understand is treating customers with hostility over a simple menu discrepancy. We came in expecting to have a meal and left shocked by how we were treated. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this restaurant. Customer service and basic respect should not be too much to expect.

Try to get there during happy hour deals for appetizers because it cuts the price substantially. Had the burger slider and avocado egg roll appetizers. The burgers were very good, and when I asked for some mayo to go with the burgers the server brought it promptly. They don't give you quite enough dipping sauce for the avocado rolls, so go ahead and ask for them to give you two containers of dip right from the start. The french fries were tasty but a little bit overdone. Also got the cheeseburger which was very tasty came on a nice brioche bun. The only complaint was that I think the food took a little too long to come out. Nothing terrible but probably about 5 minutes longer than I think it should have for relatively simple bar food. Because we visit regularly, I wanted to share some constructive feedback about our recent experiences. While the food has often been very good, lately it seems that consistency has become an issue. During our most recent visit, I ordered the Chicken Alfredo. When it arrived, the sauce had an orange tint rather than the usual creamy Alfredo appearance. After taking a few bites, it tasted much more like macaroni and cheese than Alfredo. I mentioned this to our server, who was kind and professional, but he assured me that it was the Alfredo sauce and explained that the mac and cheese sauce is packaged separately. As someone who frequently orders both Alfredo and mac and cheese, I felt confident that what I received did not taste like a traditional Alfredo sauce. While this experience was disappointing, I want to emphasize that our server handled the situation courteously, and we still left a good tip because the service was not the issue. I am sharing this feedback because my family enjoys coming to BJ's and would like to see the food quality and consistency match the high standard of service that keeps us returning. I hope this feedback is helpful and that future visits will reflect the quality we have come to expect.
