I have been to many restaurants this one near you? Keep driving! Service was a complete disaster. When the server made a mistake and forgot something she avoided us for 30 MINUTES! Had to ask another server for our check! Not too mention, we bought guacamole and there was an avocado pit in it! When i asked about it, i was told well must have been in the container. Wow! Not even a sorry. After waiting for 30 minutes to get a check it was wrong. Server brought me a charge slip with no itemized bill. The manager couldn't even get it right. Listen the mcdonalds has better service than this place. Trust me KEEP DRIVING!!! read more

Glory Days Grill - Here is how you get guacamole! It comes with seeds and all!!!! - Sports Bars Near Me - Gainesville, Virginia

I'm not a big fan of bar food, but my husband worked super late one night and it was this place or Ihop--dining choices after 11 are pretty limited. I'm so glad we chose this place! 5.00 appetizers after 9 pm make this a great late-night meal place, and they had a great Blue Moon Pumpkin ale in the bottle. Food was tasty and fresh and OMG the pretzels were AMAZING. Cheap, good, and not just bland bar food. I'll be back! read more

I had the most excellent time at glory days this evening. Colleen was my server and provided everything i needed. Not to mention the food was delicious. I really enjoy the environment there! Love it! read more

While one waiter waiter on 15 tables the other employees sat around. I asked the manager to help and he claimed no other employees were qualified to "handle money." Evidently this includes the manager. I'll never be back!! read more

Don't get me wrong, I love barbecue, but this place just doesn't cut it. The barbecue tastes curiously bland, which makes me wonder just what their barbecuing procedures are. We tried this place several times, thinking we must have gotten the one bad dish, but everything we tried induced the same reaction: blech. Their sides are even worse. How can you screw up cornbread? And yet, they have the worst cornbread I have ever tasted. Their parsely red potatoes are simply boiled potatoes with a sprig of parsley put in. Haven't you guys ever heard of seasoning? Coleslaw is always a hit-or-miss affair with restaurants, and predictably, they miss by a long shot. Service is none too good either. The server staff consists mostly of young kids who appear completely unconcerned over the needs of the customers, and seemingly oblivious to any tie-in between good service and a good tip. I really can't say anything good about this place except the food isn't horrible, it just isn't up to par. And with such excellent alternatives, I don't know why anyone would bother with this place. read more

Ordered a to-go lunch order for myself and a few coworkers today. We came to pick it up and breaking up the orders into seperate checks for payment was a breeze and the food was prompt. They honored a Facebook promotion for free Slam Dunk Pretzels. We got back and discovered one of our ten items was missing. We called the restaurant and the woman immediately explained they had realized it as soon as we left. Perhaps taking down a phone number with the call would have been a good idea? But regardless, the way they handled this slip-up was fantastic. They had someone bring us our food so we didn't have to drive back up (big brownie points here). She also gave us a Free Appetizer card for the inconvience. All food was tasty, special orders were accomodated as requested, and very friendly customer service. read more

The service was horrible. We waited and waited for our food but it never came. I am not sure whether it was incompetence or whether it was vwcause of our race. Either way, I will NEVER go back there. I wish YELP had a zero. read more

An all around pleasant experience, staff gave off a pleasant vibe across the board, and food was delicious, burgers were cooked perfectly, plenty of options for alcohol as well, maybe next time I'll go sit at the bar! read more

All things considered, the food is above average for a chain...better than Applebees and the like. The bad news at this location is Zombie like service and non existent supervision. I'm sure everyone that works here are good people, however they couldn't be more unaware of the meaning of customer service or responsiveness. Which brings me to supervision... completely inept management. No sign of standards of performance or accountability. Looking at a miserable downward trajectory for this place. read more

Brought a large group. Service was great. Food came out fast. At the end, the restaurant was empty, 5 employees standing around including a manager and a bartender on her cell phone, yet only one person could check us out. Took an hour just to check out. read more

I've been to this location a few times and each time have had a pretty good experience. Most recently I went with a friend of mine for a late dinner (9PM). By this point many restaurants are in the closing mindset and service usually isn't great since everyone is just ready to be done with the day. Despite the late time and not a lot of customers (except for the bar), we were seated promptly and received excellent, friendly service the entire time. We got wings for an appetizer and I got the bacon cheeseburger as my meal. I've had the wings there before and they're usually very good. They were still good this time, but could have been cooked a little more well done. The burger was great! I really like the burger buns they use there. Overall, a good experience. read more

I'm sorry to say that we will no longer dine at Glory Days in Gainesville. This was our go-to place for a quick meal and to watch sports, close enough to walk to on a nice evening, but the service has increasingly deteriorated over the past couple. It goes beyond slow service into getting orders wrong, over cooking the food and just bad attitudes. Simple things like no cheese on a burger they get wrong, or when a burger is sent back because of cheese the burger comes back and you can see the reminents of the cheese on the bun (happened twice). Yesterday was our final visit. We arrived a few minutes past six and sat down right away. Ten minutes later the manager came around and said the server would be with us in a minute and he took our drink orders. Twenty minutes later I tracked down the manager to see if someone would take our food order and he took it, and by the way we had not received our drinks yet. In the mean time the bartender is talking it up with people, took the time to speak with someone she must have known, played with their baby on the bar, all while we were waiting on our drinks. Bottom line, it was a few minutes less than an hour when we received our food. There were three burgers, all were supposed to be medium rare. One came out medium, the others well done. One was suposed to be on sourdough and it came out with marble rye. On the poistive side, my Baymazing Crab & Grilled Chicken was great. read more

Love the nachos! Love them! I also like the Chicken Philly. Servers are always so nice. (except for one girl when we visited in August 2014). She was not looking happy. I had never seen her before. But everyone else has always been so quick and very nice. I like this place. We come here a lot. read more

This location is good for dog owners who want to eat when they have their pets with them. They have an outdoor patio, and the waiters will bring your pup a bowl of water. This is also good for vegetarians. They've got a great veggie burger and their fries are great! read more

Amazing service from the servers, particularly Vanessa and Spencer even though we were seated in the corner booth. Food came out on time, quite fast actually. The lava cake was good as well! Would not recommend the cherry sauce though on the cake. The shark attack drink was really good! read more

This was my very first time ever eating at this type of establishment and i was not disappointed. I was in the area visiting a friend and we decided to eat here. Very good choice! We were greeted by friendly staff at the front and we ended up sitting at the bar. The drinks were great and Karina was very attentive to us on a busy night. The food was delicious, I recommend the crab dip hands down and the overall atmosphere of this place is top notch. The manager Cate came to check on us and was very friendly. The GM Ms. Gels is doing a great job with her staff there and I can't wait to visit here again when I am in the area. Hands down my new favorite place! read more

I will never go to this place again, a man at the bar was so load and using vulgar words and disturbing our dinner, and the manager would NOT ask him to quiet down, we left... it is CRAZY that a place like that would allow 1 person to be like that...Not a place to families with kids. read more

Came in Monday night it was very busy! Even still was sat within 10 mins. Our server was Tina she seemed overwhelmed but the service was still A1! We came here because I local restaurant was on a huge wait so we decided to try this place out! Tina told us about the burger special that did not disappoint! Manager checked in with us to make sure everything was good! It was a pleasant experience. We're not from Virginia so sorry to say it will be some time before we return! Thanks for a great meal and great service! Loved the Christmas lights too btw! read more

An example of how other patrons can ruin a restaurant/bar experience....I went there after a day of wine tasting, sat at the bar for a beer or two and a burger, and there was a family sitting in the bar area that was loud, obnoxious and even rattled the bar tender's nerves ("they've been here since 2 and they're getting louder by the drink.") Can you say, "cut them off?" The wife/mother especially was loud and disruptive. And they had their young kids in tow. The noise level drowned out my experience there, and now that I know there's a Buffalo Wild Wings in Gainesville with Buzztime--I know where to go after a day of tasting. As for the food at Glory Days--mediocre. A notch below Bungalow. And that's not a good thing. read more

Half price burgers on mondays is where it's at! I came this past week on my lunch break and sat at the bar. The bar top was full but the bartender did an excellent job keeping up with his patrons! Will be returning. read more

Don't waste your time coming to the Gainesville location. 1 out of 10 times is the food good. Today was the latest example of this. The chicken dip was cold, the grilled chicken dry, wings were under cooked and they can not make a frozen drink right to save there lives. This location is an embarrassment to the franchise. We will drive to the Nutley St location in Fairfax the next time we want Glory Days. Tried it again. Sucked even more didn't get past the appetizer. Paid bill and left. read more

Went to celebrate Mother's Day. Was happy there wasn't a wait to be seated. However, after ordering our food (party of 6), we waited for close to an hour. We decided to leave. The manager came to apologize and said it was because they were "short staffed". That would have been believable if other patrons had to wait to. A larger party came after us, were served, ate, and we still had not seen our food. Our waitress wasn't attentive at all. Very unfortunate and unsatisfactory all around. read more

They have a nice variety of choices on the menu and I was having difficulty deciding what to get. Luckily for me they have a burger special on Mondays which made choosing what to get much easier. The burger was delicious and arrived exactly as ordered. They have a nice patio area which is covered so you are out of the direct sun but still enjoy the fresh air. Our waiter was very nice and checked in often enough to make sure we had everything we needed but not so often as to be a pest. I will definitely be back! read more

I ordered the sliders, they were okay. I didn't expect mushrooms and onions on the slider instead of normal burger fixings, but maybe I didn't read the description correctly. I will be going back on a Monday for their $5 burger special. Had the bottled root beer, it was okay, but definitely not an amazing "on tap" style root beer. read more

Came here on a Sunday and it was packed. That being said, everything was great. Service was fast and accurate and the food was perfect. We got 12 boneless wings (honey old bay and garlic buffalo) and two different burgers. Portions are huge and well worth the price. Burgers were cooked perfectly as well. We have visited other Glory Days locations and the food is always excellent. The Gainesville location is no exception, but what stood out on our visit this time was the service. Dining out with 3 children can be challenging, especially with one who has a food allergy, but Karina A. was our server and she took great care of us! She was super knowledgable about the menu and ingredients (including whether they shared fryers and grills), so I didn't worry about what to order. She was also friendly and kept our drinks full! She also had a nearby TV changed to cartoons to keep the kids occupied while we waited. The kids' meals came out a few minutes before our food, so we were able to get their ketchup, silverware, and everything else situated before our food arrived. It was a relief and made for the most pleasant experience we have had dining out in a long time. Request her! Our delicious food included wings in glory sauce, mild buffalo sauce, and Louisiana-style (which I think is seasonal). read more

Where to start! I typically wouldn't do this and very understanding when it comes to restaurants. But this Glory Days is by far the worst. The service was horrible!! read more

Glory Days is a great place to watch the game or grab a beer after work. It's a casual, friendly atmosphere with quite a few regulars at the bar. The food is hit or miss, but anywhere you can get a burger with sweet potato fries is alright with me! read more

Glory Days is the best sports bar in Gainesville! Great, fresh, juicy burgers and wings, friendly staff, lots of TVs, two big screens and a fully stocked bar, even real silverware and cloth napkins. Love it! Sports bar for all seasons :) Cheap beer, love the sliders and oreo sandwich. Staff is pretty awesome too :D

For years we ordered take out here. Nothing earth shattering but decent burgers and good nachos. Not uncommon to have minor glitches in our order so we always checked before we left. It got to the point that the burgers were always raw, completely indelible and unsafe, and the nachos was missing two or more things. The employees would argue when we tried to get the order correct. After 3-4 consecutive absolute disasters we finally gave up. Glitches happen. Raw meat is unacceptable (raw, not rare...and we always order well done to avoid), as is outright arguing with someone about it...multiple times. read more

This place has gone down hill. Whether it is management or the food just not the same. Waited for food only to learn the order never got put in, then when we got it we had bbq sauce not the glory days sauce. Turned it away and did not order anything else. Used to have Coors light on draft but said it was company wide they removed it. Hmm I have been to two other Glory days in nearby area that have it. Can't stand liars. Not what we were used to and going from being regulars to not wanting to go at all, that is not good for business. I would say bypass this one and find something else nearby. read more

Center Cut Sirloin Steak + Mashed Potatoes + Caesar Salad... I had the shrimp on a stick years ago. They cut it out of their menu (good thing, I wasn't a fan). As for the steak, potatoes, and salad... I like it, and I keep getting it. I've mixed in onion rings and corn bread from time to time, but as Joey from Friends would say... Salad "Good"... Potatoes "Good"... Steak "GOOD!" To Go Service- The Phone seems to be tag-teaming through various people sometimes, but they have improved over the years! read more
