We brought a sample of our siding to match it and the person helping us assured us it was the same and so we purchased the 30 pieces we needed. We loaded and brought home the wood only to find it was not the same exact size. We called back to try to rectify the issue but the person we spoke with was not very helpful and told us that was the only size they had and we have to pay a restocking fee if we requested to return the materials purchased. Needless to say our hands were tied and our contractor had to spend extra time to modify the sidings.

Got there, and the people…read morewere very friendly and helpful for the basics, but I wouldn't go there to ask actual technical questions about wood or building. I did going expecting it would have a better selection of lumber at better prices than Home Depot. Unfortunately, that was not the case. They had a lot of wood suitable for construction but not for woodworking. They really had only one type of plywood with any kind of nice surface. Mostly have OSB, CDX, and only one type with a sanded finish. And that was almost $10 more per sheet than what I could get at Home Depot. No Birch or other quality plywood ether. I did purchase about 4 sheets just to check them and then went to Home Depot and got the remaining 11 sheets I needed. It was less expensive and there was significantly more choice for plywood other than OSB, CDS, etc.

I had found some luck but the places were all on the East Coast. Needless to say the shipping costs (almost 3X the cost of the material) made it a non starter. But as luck would have it I was able to find Korbet right in my own backyard. First off the customer service experience was excellent. Prompt call back after I submitted for a quote from their website. John was friendly and even offered a few suggestions since I am not a professional and I'm doing this myself. Got the quote witin minutes, came down and they had all of my stuff ready to go. loaded it up and the ten foot downspouts were pushing it but my MDX was just barely able to load them internally. Best of all no horrendous shipping charges. They have more copper than you can shake a stick at from gutters, to downspouts and all manner of stuff in between. Like a 500 foot roll of sheet copper. They also seem to have a full line of zinc realted products as well. If you are in the need for copper or other metals I would give KM a try.

Heidy informed me that she had to check with her boss so I said okay. On 10/7/25 I spoke with her and she said that she had spoken to her boss that he said yes, that they wanted $4000.00 and the price was firm, I said perfect. I was so happy and excited as this was going to be a surprise for my wife. I show up this Morning 10/8/25 at 8:00a.m. after driving one over one hour in traffic and was greeted by Ken Eveland. He informed me that they would bring the portrait down and call me so I can come back today and pick it up. First off I had to lie to my wife this morning of my whereabouts since this was a surprise. Now I'm just mad, how could a company do this to anyone. Yes , their granite, stone, quartz and porcelain slabs are beautiful. Please revise your business practices, if something is on display and not for sale then say so.
