My car was stolen, recovered and towed to ABC lot in Hamilton. I was out of town on business. I…read morecalled ABC Thursday PM right after police notified me. Never having been towed before, I had no clue how this works. I asked ABC to help me figure it out. I gave them all info. The lady on a phone is less than friendly. She says she does not see the record of my car but promises to call me back. She does not. I call again on Friday she says "yea, it's here, come and get it", I say I am out of town and I can't make it by 5 PM, she responds: " it is ok, come on Monday it is $60 per day in addition to your bill today of $446". I try to explain that I would have come today by 5 PM if she called me back yesterday as she promised, or if she would have at least told me I had to pay $60 per day. There is no flexibility and she is rude point blank. I came Monday morning, the bill is now close to $700. I call the manager with the same ask to deduct weekend. It is even worse! The gentleman is not listening at all, he immediately raises his voice and becomes very disrespectful. I felt bullied and taken advantage off. I am in shock how ABC manipulates and takes advantage of inexperienced customers to get extra storage days and to top it off insults their customers.

I told him I had already called the police, and they were on their way. He waited, and when the police showed up, he left because the OPP said they had Tow companies they work with. They called, and A Action arrived later. AAction towed my truck less than 11km away from where I was to their yard on 2791 Barton st in Hamilton. They hooked my truck around 1:45 AM and towed it after 1:56 AM (Monday). By 2:50, I was already on my way home with an Uber. I spent all Monday calling them- no answers. On Tuesday, I talked to Kristine, and the fees were already above $1000. I said how could that be? She said they would review it. And since, no contact. See that I couldn't find anybody on the phone; on Thursday, I drove one hour to their location, and I found Katty; she said my invoice was over $1300, and I could only talk to Management. She gave me a phone number to call Abu, the manager. Guess what? He never picks up the call, either. I drove back home without answers. On Friday morning, I was finally able to reach Kristine again. She gave me an email to contact the company. I had to go back and forth with them to reduce the price. I was so mad at them and did not want to deal with this company anymore that I paid $995.64 to get my truck back. I had another company tow it to another location. They said $360 from those fees is given back to the police because the police give them the call. It seems like they don't answer the phone, so the car stays on their lot longer. And whenever you cannot reach them, they charge you the storage fees. And they also charge me $4/km. If you are stuck somewhere, someone is offering service from this company. Avoid at all costs. It's best to call and get CCA right on the spot.
