I haven't been to this place in years, but I decided to give it a try after not having been here since it used to be "The Country Buffet." i cant believe I have to give a star at all. My first stop, as i passed the questionable looking food, was the ladies room. It all appeared to be sitting out for a while and very dry. The ladies room was absolutly disgusting. I was completly turned off to eating anything at this point. Went to get a plate and just looked at the overcooked food. Tried sushi and the kani. nope. Went to carving station. The meat was so dry I couldn't cut it. nope. Seafood? Try mashed fish. I tried to get some nachos. The cheese was water. And nothing was flavored the meat again dry and not good tasting. All of the food is barely warm. At this point I'm done. The table was covered in grease and I wonder when the last time they had the dishwasher maintained. Every utensil on the table was covered in grease. and the outside of the teapots have not been cleaned in a long time.. OOO and the service was just awful. The servers did not want to be there and were not friendly. We conveyed our disgust to the manager tonite but refused to even take one dish which is all we asked. Four out of six of us barely had five dollars worth of food. But they still required us to pay the full bill. My family has gone to may buffet. We will not be going back to this one. read more

Brand spanking new restaurant in Levittown. This place is beautiful and BIG! Whatever you are craving they probably have it on one the the many buffet stations. All you can eat, American, Chinese, Italian, Mexican, Sushi and more desserts that anyone can eat. It's not only big, it's clean and the people are so nice. My husband and I ate there 2 weeks ago and were horrified to pick up 3 dirty plates in a row. The first 2 plates we picked up seemed clean so we didn't realize how dirty this restaurant is. The food is really good so we were very happy with our first selection. Everything looks pretty clean and there are hundreds of great selections. However, When we went back up to get our second plate we noticed 3 filthy plates with food actually stuck to the plates. This was in the pile of supposedly clean plates. We were so disgusted we just put them down, paid and left. It was a Saturday night and the restaurant was mobbed. You were supposed to wear masks but half the patrons were not wearing masks. When We complained we were told that those plates must have been left there by mistake by the customers. It's really too bad they don't care about our safety and cleanliness because the food happens to be very good. I hope they read this and start paying attention to food safety. read more

The place looks nice but the food wasn't so great. Everything was kind of bland to me. Most of the chicken was chewy and rubbery. The beef ribs were literally just fat no meat and even the fruit looked delicious but almost seemed fake tasting. The ice cream tasted like water milk. As I'm writing this review I'm ready to be rolled out of my booth in a wheelbarrow because I'm stuffed and satisfied. This place has a little bit of everything which is exactly how my family likes to eat. They have a salad bar, taco bar, fried appetizer bar and a seafood bar with cooked seafood and a sushi section. They've got a small section of classic American food like ham and roast beef but it doesn't seem too popular. They also have a hibachi bar. ok. this place use to be old country buffet. so yesterday i went for the first time and lets talk about the mood. its nice music but to dark. and nice work on the ceiling lights. now food time.. the sweet and sour fish aka butt fish is good but the workers have no clue what kind of fish it is.. so thats not good. the duck .. cold....the meats turkey , ham nice vegs .. nice selection. and the cookies great. same water ice cream so ng on that. the chicken salad omg.... great..... i spent 1-2hrs so i got a chance 2 see how the workers move and if they cleaned up quick. we update soon. read more

Ok food. Waiters don't even ask to take your plates they just take them and leave with them. My mother had some shrimp and they tasted off and were cold (they were supposed to be hot or warm).Deserts are very dry, some flavorless and all un labeled. Deserts should be labeled of what they are in case if someone is allergic to a ingredient and don't taste fresh. Everything else was decent. The waiters are so rude and watch every move you make. A women sitting next to me didn't like her piña colada and didn't like how it tasted and the waiter told her "you drank it so we can't bring it back" when she ONLY took 2 sips to see if she liked it. The waiter got the manager and the manger looked at the cameras a took pictures of her with a straw in her mouth claiming she drank it when the glass was still full. They also said from the last time I was here they'd give a discount the next time I came because they over charged, now I tell them about it and they have " no idea" what I'm talking about. You also do not certify as a kid if you reach a certain height, so tall kids are looked at as adults. This place is full of nasty people and they only care about the money, not about how they treat customers. read more

this place used to be old country buffet. now it is a chinese buffet, since this is a new buffet resturant had to try it. the decor is very nice. the food station were broken down, hibachi station- sushi- fried food- seafood- meat- international- salad- fruit and dessert- cakes, cookies, sugar free cookies and ice cream. the wait was not long. the food I give it 2.5 stars, the service 3. as I walked around the food stations, replishmish of the food was slow, they had lobster but it seem they were putting it out every hour. the food was bland, tasteless and over salted. this is a disappointment for such a nice decor, but not the food. read more

Tried this buffet and to my surprise, I would have to say this is the best one I've tried. Besides the usual Chinese food offered at most, with similar taste and quality, they had Ham, Turkey, Beef, Mashed Potatoes, Tacos, Gravies, and some very good tasting deserts. Including soft serve vanilla and chocolate ice cream. You may also purchase alcohol, wine, beer or mixed drinks. The ambiance is nice and comfortable. Not to loud even when it is crowded. Food was like it is at every buffet. They have everything. The only thing I didn't like was the service. My favorite buffet! The food selection is so fresh and always being changed. One of the cleanest restaurants I've ever been too. Lots of places to sit with small or large parties. And the staff is always friendly and quick!! Definitely one of my favorite spots in the Nassau. read more

We've been here twice since it opened. Decent selection of food, I realy liked the choices for sushi and Japanese salads. There's a lot of seafood, but they're a bit short on stir fried offerings. First time there. Place is attractive. Food and service was nothing special. I found it offensive that after 3:30, they place signs on certain food stations indicating that these were now reserved for dinner guests. I could understand if it was a seafood station but that was the case. That never happened at Old Country Buffet after 3:30. You continued to eat whatever you wanted. Was told this place had great selection and the sushi and hibachi are great. Well the selection was minimal for a Saturday afternoon. The food to choose from to have the hibachi cook make did not look appealing nor having raw red meat and raw chicken next to each other seems like that would be a health code violation since the blood from red meat was clearly in the chicken not to mention crab and shrimp. SO I decide to go to the sushi and the 2 "chefs" had disgusting habits, one sneezed into his hand AND NEVER CLEANED IT OR GO TO THE BATHROOM TO WASH HIS HAND, the other "chef" kept wiping his face and hair and never washed his hands. AND IF that wasn't bad enough as I'm walking back to my table I see a server walk out of the bathroom with his apron STILL ON, THEN WIPE HIS SUPPOSEDLY WET HANDS ON HIS APRON! I was completely disgusted and barely ate the 1 plate of food so it was WAY over price! read more

Well it was my birthday and my family decided to go out for dinner. What a big mistake! First, the place was just about empty for dinner, which seemed strange enough. The waitress served us drinks right away and we got up for food. We thought it was going to be like Old Country Buffet but, really, it was just another Chinese buffet. As if that wasn't disappointing enough, the food was cold and old. By the time we were done, most of our food was in the napkins. We thought dessert might fix this. So, I headed for the ice cream machine and there was a sign on it that the chocolate was not working. That would have been OK but neither was the vanilla. When I called someone over to see the problem, she tried to get it to work and couldn't. She gave me some excuse that I couldn't understand and just walked away with an empty dish. Now the bill comes and I notice there is a 15-20% "suggested tip" on the bottom of the bill. Did anyone tell the owners that this is a buffet and not a waitress served restaurant??!! I SERVED MYSELF!! So now I pay the bill with a tip that I suggest and include a $25 American Express Gift Card as part of my payment. After they run the GC, they tell us that we can only use 70% of the GC so we owe them $4. Are you kidding me!!! After arguing for what seemed like forever, and calling AE twice, I told them to take the difference out of MY suggested tip and call it a day. The conversation in the car was unanimously agreed that they should have just told us that AE would only allow so much to be used (due to the Credit card machine they have) give me back the unused portion of the card, apologize for the trouble and maybe save them from a bad review and keep their customers happy. To add insult to injury, the manager kept laughing at me which was pissing me off as I was so irritated. She also told my mother-in-law that WE don't speak too good English. What!? Amazing Buffet! Reminds us of a Las Vegas style restaurant! The quality of food is wonderful and service outstanding. They have all you can eat sushi, hibachi, all kinds of seafood (oysters, lobster, clams mussels, crab, flounder), taco bar, Chinese, salad bar, soups, carving station, nice dessert area... "not your typical buffet", a much higher level. I never eat at "all you can eat sushi" places, but here the quality of fish and selection of rolls is very good. read more

This was my first visit to Global Buffet and it was so interesting to sample many of the dishes that were available during the dinner buffet! I have never seen so many in one buffet place. They tasted very good! I especially liked the sugar-free cookies due to my diabetes and could not get enough of them. Wish they had a sugar-free pudding and some sugar-free cakes! It was really crowded by the time my friend and I left. Wishing they had coupon availability over the iPhone and Android though. Employees were very friendly and courteous. We went there for the second times last night. The first time we went it was better. The food is mediocre. After last night, we are through with buffets. It took a long time to refill the food trays on a busy Saturday night. When they put out lobster pieces, it is a free for all. It is like people never saw lobster pieces (which consisted of mostly shell) before. People become untamed animals. A few people who were waiting for the lobster felt that they were entitled to take it all. I would like to give a virtual middle finger to the woman who knocked a meaty piece of lobster off of my spoon and then scooped it up and put it on her plate. This woman walked away with two full plates of lobster pieces. They should have someone serving the lobster fairly. I also saw this same woman taking baked clams with her fingers and cleaning her teeth at her table. On our first visit there, there was a woman walking around with a dog in a baby carriage. My boyfriend and I were really excited to try out the new buffet. The food here was pretty good, a little better than average buffets. The reason I gave one star for this place is because the service was absolutely horrible. The waitress were incredibly rude and throughout our entire meal they made us feel rushed. They gave us the check as we were still eating our lunch, we were a little put off by that but pushed the check to the side and continued eating. Then we stood up to get our dessert and both waitresses started cleaning up our table as if we were leaving. I said we were still getting food and they both seemed pretty annoyed. As were eating our dessert my boyfriend put his credit card into the check book. Then the waitress came over and opened up the book checking to see what was in there; then pointed to the bottom of the receipt to tell us how much our total was. That whole encounter was just very odd. For us it's the service that makes the whole experience. Now onto another topic. They definitely do have MSG in their food. Clearly in high amounts. Right now as I'm writing this review I'm finding it hard to focus due to the very dizzy feeling I have. If you look up Chinese restaurant syndrome these are the following symptoms headache, sweating, skin flushing, numbness or burning in the mouth, numbness or burning in the throat, nausea and fatigue. . We're experiencing many symptoms right now, i'm writing this review to warn others who are sensitive to MSG to stay away. I feel really bad giving a new business one star but I can only speak from my own experience. read more
