I do not recommend because the guy at the front desk did not help what so ever. Asked about a specific car he said it was not there when we had clearly seen it at the entrance of the gate. We walked out then came back in to ask again of a sign in the office that said if we paid 5 dollars we had free range of the yard, he said no (false advertisement) maybe they should consider taking the sign down. As we walked out we talked to a guy that seemed like the owner asked about the part we needed, he told us he would not sell us the specific part but could sell us the whole box that we really didn't need. We agreed to the price he gave us. He told us he would have a employee bring down the car, then walked away. we proceeded to wait 15 to 20 mins, we left because no one came. First and last time we are coming here, very rude and unprofessional people. read more

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! I called 3 times to verify they had the door we were looking for (they said they would check and call me right back ~ which they never did, so hours later I would call again.) By the way, their online Inventory search showed they had one, but I wanted to verify before driving all the way out there. After 3rd times Bill assured me they did have a side door (left hand side). I went over the description several times with him to make sure he knew exactly what we were looking for. Want to give negative rating! When I called for Lancer K frame, they said 175$ before I start to place I confirmed the price and said I am coming. After I reach the place, they told it sold before 20 mins, and they found another one in junkyard and then they asked 225$. What an assholes( I don't mind to call you asshole, you deserve it). I have gone to other salvage yards in the area getting parts for my teenage sons car and was never treated great. Thinking, well its a junk yard and I'm a mom, cant expect much more. Someone told me about Global and have used Global a few times and will never go anywhere else. The guys in the office never made me feel like an idiot when i didn't know the correct name of a part. I called Friday asking for an engine. Spoke with Francisco, and he gave me the price 1,300 with 80,000 miles engine. I asked him if they installed the engines. and he said yes and they would pick up the vehicle. So I decided to have them to the work. Francisco told me that it would be done by Wednesday. I called for an update on Tuesday, and he said that I was bothering him, and that it wasn't started yet until Thursday. I called this morning, and asked to speak to the manager Bill. He said that work was being done but will not be down until Monday. Then he hung up on me twice and said that I was bothering him and that the truck was nots started, and will be done on Monday. So all make sure you read before signing, and ask questions before anything. I will be contacting the BBB to let them know how this company is! read more

After researching 15 places to "junkyard" our car, Global offered the best rate. They said they would tow it for free and pay cash on the spot. They did exactly what they said they would. The tow truck driver was friendly and timely. He had the cash as promised and did all the work. I would recommend them. read more

This place is an absolute farce. Please, learn from both my and the first rater's comments. I ordered a 1995 transmission which supposedly had 90,000 miles and cost only $300 plus $75 to ship to my house. Most other junk yards I called had trannys costing from $500-1200 with much higher mileage. I should have been suspicious at this point. I was told it would show up on a Tuesday--never showed. I was then told it would be there first thing Thursday morning--never showed. When I queried "Joey"--the "said owner" he said he had an emergency and he apologized. I forgave and wanted my tranny. When Friday morning came and "Joey" told me it would be there in the next 15-30 minutes I waited. It never showed. The light bulb then came on for me Friday night as I then realized that these guys are habitual liars. There is no doubt in my mind that the above transmission DID NOT have 90,000 miles but likely had 200,000 or so. I called Sat morning and put a dispute on my credit card and then called Global auto and canceled my order. This is YOUR "Writing on the wall." Learn from my experience. read more

Got a used trans for my Saturn sl2 from them. Got it back home and realized that there was damage to the transmission mount on the trans itself. I had dealt with Joe before and came back and dealt with him again. He took good care of me and gave me a trans with less miles on it for the inconvenience. I have the same complaint as it appears everyone else here does. Ordered a transmission for a Ford windstar. Was told it was already pulled ready to be shipped out. Placed the order same day and two days later transmission is still not here. Yesterday I was told in the morning that it was "on the truck". Called back a 4:00 said it would be here in a few minuets. Called at 5:00 said "any second" called back at 5:15 they went home for the day and stopped answering the phone. Stayed until almost six. No driver or truck ever showed. Makes me wonder how places like this can stay in business. read more

The rating is justified by everyone, including mine. I walked in asking for a spare part for a 2006 Ion and the guy said they don't have that car model. As I walked out I seen the car and the spare part on it. So I walked back in and talked to another person. The first person butted-in and said "I ALREADY TOLD YOU WE DON'T HAVE THAT CAR"; to that I told him there is an Ion not far from the office, and if I can have it. He said(the first person), it's going to cost you $40/- for him to take it out! I said I'll take it out, to that he responded(while walking away) "WE DON'T DO THAT HERE". My point is, I understand it's hot out today and the heat can get to you; but seriously what the f*** is your problem????? Now mind you, Chevy can send me a new spare part for $46/-. So I left that place and googled another place : "Midwestern User Auto Parts". Now that place, the guy knew where to direct me and best of all .. DONT ORDER PARTS FROM HERE...Not even enough words to say bad about this company. The guy who told me he "Owns" the place "Bill"... was nice enough to call me a F** B***. No joke. After ordering a part and being told it would be there Monday, the part was a no show on Monday. On Tuesday morning I called and he let me know that it would be there on the morning truck. STILL A NO SHOW. I called Tuesday afternoon and "Bill" told me...It will be there in 20mins. STLL A NO SHOW on Tuesday. Called Wednesday morning HIGHLY upset. He said that the part was on the truck and would be ther before noon. Called every hour on the hour after 1:00 and he keeps telling me that its almost here. SOO... after I did get upset at the fact he has lied to me for 3 days now...he proceeds to call me a F** B***. Unbelievable that someone can run a business with that kind of prefessionalism (Or lack there of). I had been told by others to not order parts from here but I didnt listen. this place has REPEATEDLY had low prices, high quality parts, and personable staff. the guys there are knowledgeable of cars, eager to help customers even after closing hours, and offer inexpensive or free towing to accomodate needy customers. i HIGHLY reccomend this business to my closest friends and family, all of whom have NOT been disappointed. i look forward to doing business with them again! read more

Called them to set up an appointment to pick my car up and have it recycled. When the appointment rolls around, nothing. Called them to see where they were at and said their drivers were not back at base yet, and said well just do it tomorrow. No phone call saying they would not come or be late and I waited over an hour. Then proceeded to try again the next day and they stood me up again. I would never recommend them to anyone. Very unprofessional on the phone, don't even let you finish talking and push you through like cattle. If you are trying to run a business at least have the decency to call your customer that took off work two hours early two days in a row to sit for an hour with nothing. If an employee anywhere stood someone up twice they would be fired. They obviously have no clue how to run a business and it is beyond me how they are still around and have not failed. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE. And Bill, the owner, piece of shit. He should learn how to talk to a prospective customer. Called victory auto, they were there when they said they would be and called an hour before they got there to verify. Dont waste your time on global or bill.
