He helped me with finding something and also gave me info on spray paint / paint for my car which I did not know. He has a store full of people and was very mellow and did not rush me at all. Today I experienced the most disrespectful and appalling customer service while at autozone. I arrived at my home this evening from visiting my family for the holidays. I attempted to start my car to find that the battery was dead. I managed to jump start my car and rushed over to Autozone at 660 S Roselle Rd, Schaumburg, IL 60193. I arrived at 9:45pm and told the the employees (I was the only customer) that I was in need of a new battery. I was informed by one of the employees, a fairly tall, bald , middle aged man, that they would not install the battery for me because, and I quote "it is too late and too cold." I told the employee that if that was the case I could take my business elsewhere. I still cannot believe I was treated in this manner. Not only did the employee refuse to do his job, he refused business for autozone, and he left a 26 year old young lady in the freezing weather with a dead battery. I don't understand what kind of a human being treats people like that. I don't believe that autozone would like to be associated with such an individual. I demand an apology and that the employee be reprimanded. read more

The moment I walked in to the store I was greed it and I was immediately helped with assistance to find a lightbulb for my headlight for my car. Hats off to young knowledgeable gentleman named Shawn K. For helping I'm getting a new bulb for my headlight of the car and also unexpectedly coming out in this cold windy winter weather helping me out with replacing the bulb which took him about 10 seconds. I went in to replace wiper blades. They sold me the wrong wiper blades, so I went back. And I had asked them which blades would fit. Miguel came out with me and was surprised, said he'd never seen my wiper blade style before. They found the correct blades and confirmed they were correct. Miguel put one of them on my car for me before they did the exchange to make sure they were correct. Did the exchange and I owed $2 for the difference. They offered to install the second blade for me but I declined. Upon installing the second blade I noticed the first one wasn't installed correctly, Miguel forgot to include a piece. I went back in the store and told them what had happened and a woman told me that I would have to wait for Miguel because he was installing a battery. So I looked around the registers myself and found the missing piece. I told them that Miguel forgot a piece. I'm giving 2/5 stars for incompetence. read more

I was actually surfing the web on my phone on my last visit, and they were dollar-for-dollar with the likes of Amazon, etc. Pleasant surprise! Came in here a couple weeks ago to return brake fluid and cleaner that I didn't need when I changed my brakes. The guy behind the counter ( some asian guy) was a total smart ass! Cocky. I told him I wanted to return the stuff I didn't need and he asked me in a smart ass attitude "did you use it?" Like come on you moron like I'm going to return a can of brake clean that I used. I tend to be prideful and/or wise. I know mechanics will misquote and overcharge me. I'm naive about car makes and models, clueless about anything auto-related, and I LOOK this part to the T. So I always attempt to fix the minor things on my own. I refuse to pay people exorbitant fees for things that I can learn to do myself. The employees are very helpful and always, always offer to come and repair whatever it is that I have come in with. The prices are reasonable the service top notch. I even experimented and came in fresh faced with no make up and dressed like a boy. Did not change the service a lick. I am impressed. read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. My daughter went in for a new battery for her car. After spending the $150 on the battery and having it installed, the car wouldn't start again the following day. She had to have it jumped, thought maybe it was just a fluke. But Saturday it wouldn't start AGAIN. She was unable to get it jumped this time - wouldn't even take the charge. She was so upset, because she had plans that evening she had to cancel & needed to get to work in the morning - and she thought since the battery was brand new, and Auto Zone had claimed they checked the alternator and it was fine, that there was something seriously wrong with her car. She had to call in work the next day, and called Auto Zone to complain. They told her if she could get it back to the store they would check EVERYTHING. Well, the only way to get it in was by tow truck, so she had to pay for a tow. But when the tow truck arrived, he checked under the hood just in case. Imagine may daughter's surprise when the tow guy started laughing and asked who installed the battery - apparently it WASN'T INSTALLED CORRECTLY. There were loose bolts and it wasn't connected properly. So every time she hit a bump, the connection was lost and the battery "died." She had it towed to Auto Zone where it was adjusted - but she lost a day of work, the use of her car, AND had to pay a tow truck all because of the incompetence of the employee who "installed" her battery. Next time we need anything automotive related, we'll definitely be going elsewhere. Never so upset with the lack of customer service in my life. read more

The employees at this Schaumburg AutoZone are wonderful! Every time I have to stop in for a part for my car or need assistance with a car issue, they are so helpful. My husband, who is disabled, has had the same great service. Today, during a snow storm, I was on my way to work when my driver's side wiper blade few off into a busy intersection. I pulled over and called the AutoZone to see if they were open (it was Sunday). The gentleman took all the necessary information, had the wiper blade ready for me when I arrived, and came out in the storm to put it on for me. I was only 10 minutes late for work. It could have been a bad day but really wasn't. read more
