Note houses. Perhaps the smart play is to forget cutting the right dogleg
Bob R.

Gave the course a second go 4/15. The staff was courteous and pace of play was good. The course is very wet still; however this April has been very wet so may just be over saturation. Houses are very close to the rough and fairways. So, it's important to keep it in the fairway. This will often make you play the conservative shot vs the aggressive as a result so planning your shots is important. The cafe is very nice and a good choice for a after the round meal

How would you like to tee off from that? Poor maintenance.

We played here in the early 2000's and it's still a great course. They are also in the process of updating their range which is truly nice! The staff welcomed us with a positive attitude that was truly inviting! They answered any questions/concerns we had. The starter, rangers/marshalls were keeping a close eye on the pace of play which kept things moving as should. The fairways and greens were well kept and manicured. The place in itself was very clean too. We would definitely play here again and would suggest to other golfers to give it a try! Skip Willows and give Jackson a round!

Talked to Mark, the starter that day, he told me the city has been investing money in the course to control the water. A couple of the greens had some water on them but it was raining so to be expected. The course is as good as it was 20 years ago or maybe better. Not sure why the rating for this course is so low, after golfing the ridiculously bad Willows Run this course was really good. The Course Marshalls need to move the traffic along a little better, there was a group in front of the group in front of us that was spending too much time on the greens. That started a bit of a backup, our 4 hour round took 5 1/2. But we enjoyed every minute.

It was a fun and engaging session with local real estate pros and various small business owners. The golf course is a very beautiful setting and our space at the Greenside Grill for this event was perfect for a medium sized get together. We were just off the main dining room and there was about 25 of us. This is a very lovely facility and the views are quintessential Pacific Northwest nice. Let it be known, I'm not a golfer. But I really enjoyed being here. Even if you don't golf, this is a great place to enjoy a meal and a beverage. The Greenside Grill setup a little buffet lunch for our group which was very good. The staff here is super helpful and attentive. They also had a screen and projector so I didn't need all the equipment I brought with me. I now find myself rethinking why I don't golf! If I did play I'd certainly want to hang out here often! This place is such an Everett gem. Though I'm a native of the PNW (Renton), I simply do not know this particular neighborhood in Everett so it was such a great discovery. I hope I get to do more events here in the near future!

No Marshall moving things along and teaching slow groups how to pick up the pace. Staff more concerned about shutting down the course at twilight than marshalling during the round so everyone could get their full round in. Dont get me started on the shape of the greens. Very slow, fuzzy, and bumpy. Made for a frustrating round.

Too bad, as it was fun threading your ball through a tight course with many hazards, teeing off buckboards and pirate ship decking. A loss for us all.

Gram Gram Getting into golf golf. My estranged grandson whom recently we found out of (by way of an…read moreinternational saucy affair) invited me out to the Whitney Island. Little did I know how much of a hassle it is to get to this place. My grandson said it would be a day trip, it was not. He lied. It was some sort of college reunion where they played alcohol games. I only played the beer pong, but Chris was was playing Mario kart. We ended up staying two nights. I didn't bring my nightgown, but my grandson packed for me. Such a sweetie pie. Anyways, The only reason for this places existence is to firmly establish the bottom of a barrel. But when you're stuck on an island, and there is only one golf course, you don't have many options. WE HAVE TO GO BACK. (lost). When you first drive up and pull into the "parking lot" you have no idea you're at a golf course. Imagine my surprise when I was told I was going to golf, and we have to park next to what's called a "driving range". Didn't see too many cars "driving" the range. This place uses the honor system where you have to pay $10 a golfer. Luckily for all 6 of us, none of us had cash. So we didn't have to pay. +1 thrift point as RAYMOND SAYs. Call me old fashioned, but I lived during the Cold War. Don't challenge me. Most golf places don't have any clubs. This places had at least 100 abandoned golf clubs. Danny, my "matest with the greatest" picked up one of these bags. However, somewhere between the 2nd and 9th hole he got dunk, and wandered off. We found him passed out on the fairway of the 9th hole. Nice boy. This place DOES NOT have golf carts. So we had to drive our truck ON THE COURSE to get from hole to hole. Of course, I drive the jeep. Just like Johnny Tsunami in the series pilot. Grandkids LOVED that shower. Probably my least favorite grandson, Chris made a good point. If there is no are no beer carts driving around then you are free to shot gun beers at every green. Grandma hadn't shotgun beers in over 2 weeks, but live like a Roman horse with an arrow in your buttocks. No bathrooms on course. It was embarrassing, but I had to pop a squat behind a rose bush on the 6th hole. I though I was hidden but I was not. I showed off my 80 year old booty to some (what I assume was ) a peeing Tom. Eric was very mad at everybody. Garrett (G$) says Eric was born mad at the world because he was born with two right feet. But as soon as he whacked a 220 yard dinger dinger off a tree onto the green (completely bypassing the fairway) it more than made up for his bad feet. Greens were in decent shape. Buckets next to where you begin driving were overflowing with garbage. Let's get this garbage off this course and into the landfills. Same can be said for those dumpers in Washington. Ok time for breakfast raisin brain By grandma bye Bye

I'm new to the area and am pleased to find this range, much better than where I came from. The prices are very reasonable, in fact much lower than a Top Tracer range I used to go to: $21 for an extra large bucket, $17 for large. Top Tracer is a wonderful technology: I usually start by practicing with different clubs, (it records ball flight data for different clubs) and then I play one of the many virtual golf courses. For a driving range, the balls are pretty good - I see reviews that are critical of the balls, but if you want better balls you'll pay more. Mats are in good shape, rubber tees of all heights available in all bays. There are lots of bays and I've never had to wait, but I avoid times when I know they'll be busy. The bays are heated, canopied, and clean, the Top Tracer machines work perfectly and are accurately calibrated. The staff is friendly but doesn't say much, no pressure at all. Instruction is available but I haven't taken a lesson; again, they don't say much but no pressure either. I haven't tried the putting/chipping area, which looked to be in rough shape from winter but improving as things dry out. The indoor lounge area is comfortable and golf is always on the TV.

I was hitting in Bay 1 when I pulled out my driver and, on my first swing, struck the wall behind me during my follow-through, resulting in significant damage to my club. Unfortunately, the range took no responsibility for the positioning of the bay and instead advised me that I should have been more cautious. What concerns me is that the wall I struck clearly shows evidence of being hit by other golfers in the past, including multiple holes and dents. This suggests that I was not the first person to encounter this issue. At a minimum, the range could have posted a warning indicating the potential hazard or positioned the hitting mat farther away from the building to provide adequate clearance. I acknowledge that I could have been more aware of my surroundings, and I certainly wish I had noticed the proximity of the wall before swinging. I did not expect that using the hitting stall as intended would put my equipment at risk of being damaged. I believe the range should take a closer look at the spacing of its hitting bays and consider appropriate measures to prevent this from happening to other customers.
