Fun times, had to wait for the frost delay and wish we would've got notified about it. Greens were so-so... sometimes fast and sometimes slow. I'd like to play here in the summer, January wasn't the best as it is quite wooded and there are lots of chilly/icy spots. Had the breakfast sandwich, not too bad and the Bloody Mary helped start my round with zest. I'm giving it 3 stars but that could change on a different day! read more

Not sure who's writing these reviews but I loved playing here. The greens were perfect , the fairways lush, the rough, fair, the bunkers were in the way but the sand was surprisingly soft. The only thing is the par 3 tee boxes needed repair. The rest of the course was gorgeous and a drivable par 4 18th hole. The club hose attendant and the lady in the bar weee very nice. The course itself is in decent shape. As many of the other reviews state, it's a short course that winds through a residential neighborhood, which means a lot of houses in play if you aren't accurate with your shots. My biggest gripe is that there is no signage directing you to the next tee box and you have a lot of long walks past houses, across streets, etc. If I hadn't had a GPS golf app on my phone, I don't know how I would have found some of the tee boxes. I ended up leaving at the turn as I didn't want to deal with that for another nine holes. read more

Was able to get some range time and a tee time after an early day at work. Very well maintained course. The course winds its way through a neighborhood with houses lining the sides of many of the holes. The difficulty levels of the holes varied and kept me on my toes (looking for my ball in the woods/tall grass). Enjoyable time for a good price. read more

I have played this course from its beginning, over the years and through all of its owners the course has had its up and downs but one thing has never changed, THE BUNKERS they have been constantly horrid! When my buddies and I play there we consider the bunkers ground under repair and take the appropriate drop. I don't know if they have never cared or haven't been able to get sand or what. They replaced the carts and that's great but maybe they should have least to less carts and bought some sand. read more

This course won't make it if they continue as is. Played course this week and con't find much good to say except they have nice golf carts! The tee boxes are in crap! either they are hard pan or overgrown weed patches. The fairways are the same as Kayak Point's... oh... right! they went out of business didn't they. 90% of the traps are now weed traps with only 10% hard packed dirt. As for "best greens in the Pacific Northwest" that clam is far from the truth... but they are the only saving grace for this course. Range was a complete dump. 80 degree day and fairways 3 inches long. Traps with little sand and not manicured at all. Greens looked ok but rolled really slow. Super disappointing to pay $150 for 2 people (cart+range balls) and felt like playing on a goat track. Carts where nice tho. read more

Gave the course a second go 4/15. The staff was courteous and pace of play was good. The course is very wet still; however this April has been very wet so may just be over saturation. Houses are very close to the rough and fairways. So, it's important to keep it in the fairway. This will often make you play the conservative shot vs the aggressive as a result so planning your shots is important. The cafe is very nice and a good choice for a after the round meal read more

PROS: - The price! Less than $30 for cart rental and 18 holes! - Additionally, it is NEVER busy. I've been here several times in the middle of summer, Saturday afternoons and there is barely a wait time at each tee. - It's a challenging course - yes the homes are very close on several of the greens, lots of ponds and bunkers. It's definitely a challenge, but I like a challenge. - The staff is friendly and I believe it's under new management. They're really trying hard to clean-up the course and it shows. - Great deals on beer and food - much better price points than neighboring courses. - The setting is beautiful: views of the foothills and airport from several greens make it a very relaxing "day-in the country". Cons: - No restroom facilities on the course, beside the club house. I think there might be 1 outhouse - but I didn't want to check it out. - Some brown patches and marshy greens where the sprinkler run-off seems to be an issue. - Cart path is rough in some areas and quite hilly! Take my advice and rent a cart. This is not a course for walking, unless you really want a strong workout! Overall; The price and convenience of playing through w/out wait time outweigh all the cons. Additionally, I really have seen an improvement in the last year, and believe the new management is working with all the maintenance issues to get the aesthetics improved. read more

Combo review for both the golf course and the bar inside. I have golfed here dozens and dozens of times through the years it's nothing special. It seems like some years the grounds crew does a better job than others. It's a very very short golf course as far as yardage. Cedar Crest Golf course in Marysville or Legion golf course in North Everett are only a few miles away and are much nicer golf courses. And both of the courses I just listed have much nicer restaurants attached to them for eating or drinking I attended a wedding at Glen Eagle golf course this past summer and after the ceremony and before the reception walk to the bar area to get a jack and Coke Probably the worst drink I ever paid $10 for my life. It was served in a plastic glass and they used crushed ice? Had it not been for another dozen wedding guests waiting behind me to order a drink I would've told them to remake it. Seriously ... What kind of shit bar will serve a mixed drink in a fucking plastic throwaway glass to a guy in a suit that's clearly going to drink it in the bar and make the damn thing using crushed ice? read more

The only good thing about this place is it was sunny out. The condition of the course is just awful putting greens look like the fairways on most course and fairways look like the rough but the rough is literally 6in long. It's really hard to find your ball if your just 5yards in the rough not to mention all the white and yellow flowers that cover the course. The ball blends in with them making it so hard to find your ball even when hit it right down the middle! Nothing more frustrating than hitting a good shot then you can't find your ball. Didn't feel like real golf course by the end it was more of a joke! read more

UPDATE FOR 2018: You need to play Gleneagle if you like good prices and great Greens. The reviews here are old and should be updated. Greens *****: Not sure they're the best in the state, but they're, very good. Fareways ****: improved from previous years. Right now, however, i found some a little OVER watered, but very playable. Tee Boxes **: Improvements needed here. Playable, but this should be the next priority. Sand ****: I seem to find it ALOT, so i can say from experience, hugely improved! Please trim the trap edges. For those who complain they can't use their driver, if you drive 270+, you only need it a couple times. If you have trouble controlling your drives, well, take a lesson! Its tight! If you hit like me, 200 to 250, drivers in play for 12 of the 18. Drinks ****: Pricing is good! Food ***: please think about changing up. SALADS ARE GOOD! read more

REALLY wish I didn't have to write this review... Gleneagle has been my go to course to play for the last few years, my husband and I even got engaged on the first green. The greens are some of the best in the area and the prices are fantastic ($25 for 18 + cart!)...unfortunately that's about it. I've played this course a few times this year already and it seems to have gone downhill quickly in comparison to years prior. When we arrived, we were told that the driving range was closed in preparation for summer. I'm not quite sure what more they're waiting for since the weather was gorgeous and it was the last weekend in May...seems like a cover up for something else? There's a woman in the pro shop who normally very nice and helpful, plus (as others have commented) James is very friendly, and the lady who operates the drink cart is always efficient while doing an excellent job. Unfortunately, the actions of a few tainted the experience for me. A few weeks ago I witnessed a younger man walk up to the bar, ask the bartender for a beer, the bartender then replied "you looking to get ****ed up?", handed him the beer, didn't ask him to pay for it, then he went back to the proshop, sat behind the desk and drank it. That's just poor. This guy must be an employee because I've seen him sitting behind the desk multiple times. The course is another story. It's gotten worse and worse. The fairway hasn't been mowed or maintained in quite a long time, the tee boxes are difficult to hit off of due to large divots and very little grass, the garbage isn't picked up, and it's very obvious that maintenance is severely lacking. The signage on the 17th tee box clearly was plowed into by a cart and it's been broken for MONTHS. It's a shock that it hasn't been replaced, or at least removed. When a friend and I finished our round this weekend, we went in and inquired about the course condition, and a staff member replied that the ownership in California isn't allotting any money for maintenance. They stated that "if a part breaks on the mower, they won't give the manager any money to replace it"...what kind of golf course ownership won't at least make sure that the MOWER is operating properly? Yikes. Besides the course itself, the general condition of the grounds is sad. There are old, washed out lanterns from a wedding still hanging from a tent with mounds of dirt underneath it, garbage on the ground in the clubhouse, weeds all over the front landscaping, and what looks like the remnants of an old sign still half stapled to the front of the building. As sad as it is for me to say, I'd rather pay $10-$20 more and play another area course than come back to Gleneagle, especially because (even at the admittance of the staff), the ownership company doesn't seem to care about its conditions. With a little bit of TLC, it could be back to how it was in years prior, but until then, I won't be returning. read more

Not really super well-kept, some brown patches here and there and some standing water in the bunkers when I played. It's not very crowded though (it's in Arlington, so that'll happen) and the guy at the front desk was pretty nice. I have had some great rounds here over the years, but based on the last two visits the grounds are in poor shape and it is not very inviting. I feel bad that they have to run all those cheap golf specials since the course itself is pretty and rewarding for your average golfer. The tee boxes were very rough with not much area for flat footing and the greens were quite an adventure. I hope they turn it around because this could be a better place. What I did like about the course is the smooth and well kept greens, I was skeptical with their bold advertising of the "Best greens in the state". They were nice, but probably not THAT nice. The staff was friendly though, always worth mention. I walked the course with a pull cart and did just fine, although there were several short hill climbs. What I did not like about playing here is that it is a community golf course with rows of houses lining just about every hole, and there are many places you have to walk through the housing developments to get to the next tee. My only other complaint which is a mere personal preference is that there are very few holes where I could hit my driver. The majority of tee shots seemed to require placement rather than just driving it straight for distance. This made for a bit more of a stressful round in my case. All in all, I'd say it's worth a visit if you like a course that's short and narrow, and the price is right. read more

So went online and booked a time for 4 players, says you pay 7 bucks now and the rest when you get there. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY that 7 bucks doesn't go towards the fees, 7 bucks is the cost to make the reservation? Asked the kid at the counter in the WASU hat if they take reservations over the phone when he told me the 7 bucks doesn't go towards the fees, he said ya and laughed as the phone was ringing the back ground. I was really excited to golf back in March when we finally had a nice day. We got a great deal on a prepaid tee time, but when we arrived at the golf course at 8am for our 8:34am tee time there was no one there and the doors were locked. We waited until 9:30am but no one showed. Unfortunately over the last 3 years this is the second time this has happened to us. So I contacted the course through their web site and I was contacted back by Paul Melohusky II the General Manager. He said that he would refund us for the prepaid tee time, and that he would also send us gift cards for a free round for 4 with carts and driving range. After several weeks and no gift cards I emailed him just to follow up. I got no response. Then over the next couple of months I emailed him 2 more times, and got no response. I then filled out the contact form on the web site and got no response. I was really upset about driving 80 miles each way to golf on the first nice day of the year and not being able to play. But then to be treated like this is just ridiculous. I also have to say that something has changed since the first time we played their 3 years ago. The first time everything was kept in nice shape, and the past couple of years not so much. read more

We had a fundraiser tournament today for Destiny International School of Ministry. 84 people came out and had a blast. The staff is gracious, professional, and was so very helpful for all of the newbies who played. The food was awesome, the course was in great shape and the base price for everything was reasonable. Sorry mike but the first thing you said when you rolled up in your golf cart to talk to us is that there was nothing you could do and you had no solution based attitude toward the matter. Your stance was to do nothing in the hopes that everything would resolve itself and then from our conversation on the phone about my credit card it was as if it wasn't a big deal or that I was inconveniencing you because your golf course had charged my card for someone else's round of golf. Before my buddy even started getting upset you said several times that there was nothing that you could do... we stated that the group ahead of us was playing at too slow of rate of speed as it had been almost 5 hours since we'd tee'd off and you corrected us by saying, "well it's only been 4 hours and 20 minutes." Yeah very sarcastic and we were only on the 16th hole and had skipped one so it definitely would have taken us 5 hours to do the whole round of golf if we had enough light to finish, which we did not. Also, how can we tell if there was a group ahead of the slow group in front of us if we don't skip ahead of them? The group in front of us was going so slow that for all we knew there was open playing in front of us. And I can understand my buddy's frustration, we had all paid good money to be out on the golf course and were having a fun time and then got all amped up because someone was almost trying to get into a fist fight with us on your golf course and then you repeatedly say there's nothing you can do about it, no mention of comping our round of golf was ever discussed, nothing. The fault lies with the golf course, they should not have overbooked the tee times especially when there was a tournament that day which arguably had every other golfer out there frustrated as the rate of play was almost non existent to begin with. It's comical because every single group we passed talked about that foursome that was ahead of us and asked if we got stuck behind them because everyone knew that they were going too slow and were NOT keeping up with the group ahead of them. I talked with one gentleman in the parking lot who we had played close to earlier in the day and explained the situation to him and his wife and he just shook his head because he saw each member of their group tee off 2-3 times each! My buddy was right to ask about your general manager position because you definitely did not handle the situation like a general manager should, you were very put off, abrasive and we could tell that you didn't want to do anything to help out the situation and that you didn't want to be there. As for hitting into the group ahead of us? We made sure they were out of range before we tee'd off so that we could keep up the rate of play to where it should have been, we weren't intentionally sending golf balls over their heads or anything. And basically nothing would have been good for them, their group was upset when we were behind them because apparently we were rushing them to play faster and then they were pissed that we cut ahead of them... and no no no they definitely weren't right behind the group ahead of them... we'd been following them since the 11th hole and they would wait for the group ahead of them to clear the green before they would tee off, even on holes that were 300-400 yards long. As I said before good customer service always puts the customer first and the customer is always right... you still think that you're right for doing nothing, that's the type of attitude that kills businesses and that's the type of attitude my buddy was talking about when wondering how you were a general manager with a "can't do" attitude as opposed to a "can do" attitude. read more

Forced to give them at least one star. I went in and the guy was helping everybody all happy and cordial. Soon as its my turn all he says is Whatsup. I asked for a bucket of balls to hit at the driving range. He says all I got for the rest of the day is this small bucket.... I pay and ask where the range is as I have never been there before. He points and sarcastically says "the big nets...right over there". Ok. I walk across the street and hit the rest of my bucket and as Im walking back to my car, I see 2 other guys show up with large buckets.... Little strange if you ask me. I really love this course. I am a single digit handicapper, my true handicap is my 3 year stud muffin who takes distractions to a new level. I take him out golfing all the time and they have no problem with it. I have been out about 6 times already this year and the greens are looking awesome. We had heard mixed reviews but got a AAA coupon to pay cheaply. The guys in the pro shop were very cordial, and they ran on time which can be unusual on a Saturday. Our first surprise was how smooth the greens were. Not super fast, but very true. By the end of the 3rd hole I had lost a couple balls, and was beginning to figure out this course was short but tough, with a premium on accuracy and putting the ball on the correct side of the fairway. The back nine seemed like more fun than the front. The people we played with said there was new management and the course was much improved. By the end of 18 holes we felt we would come back and try to play a little smarter than we did the first time. A little different, but a fun course. read more

When we went with our wedding planner the first time, it was amazing!! They pointed out how we can get both the outside cover area and the inside for one price, he kept saying "whatever you want"!! He also said the decorations and table clothes would be included, so that was another selling point for us. We went over prices of the meals and all other expenses and we were sold! So then we put the money down to save our date and thought all was good. Our mistake was not getting everything in writing and signed by them. He increased the price of the child menus, the outside was now not included and he would check his calendar to make sure he didn't book another event-which happened every time we spoke. He kept saying "let me check to make sure there is not another event". The table clothes were now not included and were an extra $500- at this point we wanted to cancel but there were no refunds. So when it got closer to the wedding we were going over last minute details and I had asked them if I could get the place the day before to decorate and he again said "whatever you want, we can do". They were really great at making this place sound so wonderful and that they wanted us to relax and just enjoy. So I made out the itinerary for the bridal party and parents on the times we were going to decorate on the day before with all the other activities following, then the day before we get a call saying that the facility was booked and we couldn't decorate until late that evening. I was so upset, I had everything planned out and they go and do this.....All I wanted was to get all of the decorating done and enjoy the rest of the evening and relax before the big day*****will NEVER suggest this place for a wedding!! It's more stressful then anything and he always changed things and was very unorganized. The day of the wedding I gave them the time line of cash bar and open bar----they even messed that up. And I said no top shelf and later found out from my guest they allowed top shelf. Which couldn't be proven on the bill. On top of all that the supposed bridal room was a wreck the day before and they did a last minute clean out. This place I would NOT RECOMMEND for a wedding read more

This was a very difficult course for several reasons. The houses on the sides are incredibly close on almost every hole. There are excessive ravines, water hazards, sand traps, etc. for such a narrow and winding course. The greens were very hard packed and cut too short, which made for terrible putting and approaches. Definitely not a course for anyone not very skilled because there are a lot of opportunities to break windows and lose a number of golf balls. On the upside, the 30.00 price for greens fees and cart together was a pretty great bargain. read more

I hate to beat a dead horse since most of the reviews are similar. We golfed up there on 6/7/2015, (we bought a KJR golf package and course was included) course was worst I have played in a long time. Guessing nobody really gives a darn what happens to the course except the guy out there pulling weeds in the flower beds. It is really frustrating when you hit in the fairway and you cant find your ball because the grass is so long. The bunkers are supposed to have sand aren't they? Hire a professional greens keeper, fix your lawn mower, water every once in a while and you can have yourself a golf course people want to play instead of neglecting it and making it so nobody wants to play there. read more
