Chuck the golf instructor is the GOAT. I've had 5+ different golf instructors over the course of 10 years and none of them were able to fix my slice. I did one 60 minute lesson with Chuck and now I'm hitting the ball straight. He has an eye for the game and has been teaching golf for 40+ years. The guy is a wizard for fixing my slice. I thought I was cursed or something but the golf gods blessed me with Chuck. he helped me adjust a few minor things in my setup and 1 thing in my actual down swing and I'm feeling like a young Scotty Schef now!!

    Sunny day!

Beware unprofessional instructor Radu. Said he would buy golf clubs, drove to Columbia Range where he works, only to get low balled.

The appetizer and dessert table didn't even have tongs for the charcuterie board or to get dessert which didn't make sense. It just seemed like a haphazard set up. The wait staff was in such a hurry to take our plates we couldn't even finish eating yet we couldn't find anyone to fill our water glasses, and the holiday decor at the party was very lacking and not as festive as past years. The open bar was a great concept but the bartender was easily overwhelmed and the quality of the drinks was very poor. While we still had a few hours left of the party the staff started cleaning everything up and turning on the lights at 8:30 as if they were rushing us to leave the Christmas party which made for a weird and awkward experience. It definitely did not live up to the hype of previous years.

I spent a day by the pool as the guest of a member and observed the well-mannered pool staff letting the kids play while keeping a watchful eye for their safety. Lunch was nothing special but the service was par for a country club. This is the good life and being poolside on a sunny afternoon reinforced the notion that all was right with the world. This place is an oasis from the middle-class aura of Everett and if should you ever get an invite from a member, I kindly suggest you make it Priority One.

Too bad, as it was fun threading your ball through a tight course with many hazards, teeing off buckboards and pirate ship decking. A loss for us all.

Gram Gram Getting into golf golf. My estranged grandson whom recently we found out of (by way of an…read moreinternational saucy affair) invited me out to the Whitney Island. Little did I know how much of a hassle it is to get to this place. My grandson said it would be a day trip, it was not. He lied. It was some sort of college reunion where they played alcohol games. I only played the beer pong, but Chris was was playing Mario kart. We ended up staying two nights. I didn't bring my nightgown, but my grandson packed for me. Such a sweetie pie. Anyways, The only reason for this places existence is to firmly establish the bottom of a barrel. But when you're stuck on an island, and there is only one golf course, you don't have many options. WE HAVE TO GO BACK. (lost). When you first drive up and pull into the "parking lot" you have no idea you're at a golf course. Imagine my surprise when I was told I was going to golf, and we have to park next to what's called a "driving range". Didn't see too many cars "driving" the range. This place uses the honor system where you have to pay $10 a golfer. Luckily for all 6 of us, none of us had cash. So we didn't have to pay. +1 thrift point as RAYMOND SAYs. Call me old fashioned, but I lived during the Cold War. Don't challenge me. Most golf places don't have any clubs. This places had at least 100 abandoned golf clubs. Danny, my "matest with the greatest" picked up one of these bags. However, somewhere between the 2nd and 9th hole he got dunk, and wandered off. We found him passed out on the fairway of the 9th hole. Nice boy. This place DOES NOT have golf carts. So we had to drive our truck ON THE COURSE to get from hole to hole. Of course, I drive the jeep. Just like Johnny Tsunami in the series pilot. Grandkids LOVED that shower. Probably my least favorite grandson, Chris made a good point. If there is no are no beer carts driving around then you are free to shot gun beers at every green. Grandma hadn't shotgun beers in over 2 weeks, but live like a Roman horse with an arrow in your buttocks. No bathrooms on course. It was embarrassing, but I had to pop a squat behind a rose bush on the 6th hole. I though I was hidden but I was not. I showed off my 80 year old booty to some (what I assume was ) a peeing Tom. Eric was very mad at everybody. Garrett (G$) says Eric was born mad at the world because he was born with two right feet. But as soon as he whacked a 220 yard dinger dinger off a tree onto the green (completely bypassing the fairway) it more than made up for his bad feet. Greens were in decent shape. Buckets next to where you begin driving were overflowing with garbage. Let's get this garbage off this course and into the landfills. Same can be said for those dumpers in Washington. Ok time for breakfast raisin brain By grandma bye Bye

We played here in the early 2000's and it's still a great course. They are also in the process of updating their range which is truly nice! The staff welcomed us with a positive attitude that was truly inviting! They answered any questions/concerns we had. The starter, rangers/marshalls were keeping a close eye on the pace of play which kept things moving as should. The fairways and greens were well kept and manicured. The place in itself was very clean too. We would definitely play here again and would suggest to other golfers to give it a try! Skip Willows and give Jackson a round!

Talked to Mark, the starter that day, he told me the city has been investing money in the course to control the water. A couple of the greens had some water on them but it was raining so to be expected. The course is as good as it was 20 years ago or maybe better. Not sure why the rating for this course is so low, after golfing the ridiculously bad Willows Run this course was really good. The Course Marshalls need to move the traffic along a little better, there was a group in front of the group in front of us that was spending too much time on the greens. That started a bit of a backup, our 4 hour round took 5 1/2. But we enjoyed every minute.

We were intent on going to Puetz Golf but had heard about Jorgenson and decided to stop in here on the way. They've been in business they said for like 26 years, and after having experienced their service I know why. We were on the hunt for a couple of Golf bags, due to an unfortunate rat incident in our storage shed. I really wanted a Callaway bag to replace my other, but the owner showed us around and pointed out some other great bags, and I ended up buying a Sun Mountain, which I love already. The hubby was filled with glee to see the PING hoofer bag in camo, so he chose that one. Having joked to my hubby about his horrible slice the owner suggested she analyze his swing, him being such a tall guy she said he probably didn't have stiff enough clubs for his swing speed etc. This indeed was proven true. Although we didn't buy clubs this weekend we both will get a new set this season and will get them at Jorgensen. This is our new golf shop, we won't go anywhere else. Great service, super friendly, reasonably priced, and very knowledgeable.

Lucas spent an hour with me looking at my club fit and also swing speed, etc. We figured out that my 16 year old driver was too flexible and my swing speed was much faster than what my club could handle. Yes, I've outgrown my old driver. There was no pressure to buy anything and I appreciated the honest feedback about a couple of my bad golf habits. Lucas guided me to an affordable close out driver that was actually made this century (ok, actually within the last year), unlike my current driver. I held off on buying the driver that night so I could go home and "geek out" with Internet research on that driver and other models. I came back in the next day and Diana let me practice on the driver for a while. Julius even came out and gave me some impromptu pointers to help fix my swing. To cap this off, Diana offered to resize the grip on my driver at no cost to fit my hand size. I'm such a fan of small and local businesses. I don't think I would have gotten this level of service anywhere else, especially at those big box stores. I'm definitely a fan and a new and loyal customer. I'll be slowly upgrading my 16 year old golf set by going back here. Thank you!
