I stopped by for a glass of wine and ended up leaving with 2 bottles plus a new appreciation for Washington GSMs and pinots! Purchased a 2017 GSM (grenache-syrah-mouvedre) from Latta, Columbia Valley AVA ($25) and a 2019 Syrah from Rockgarden Vineyards, Walla Walla AVA. Looking forward to trying both soon! Definitely splurge in the charcuterie boards; they are works of art!

And continued with another long wait before making first contact with a server. I felt the razor clam chowder was expired. Too fishy to be fresh. Too salty. I didn't eat this. The full cup was removed by some server; no inquiry if it was good. The dry aged bone-in ribeye came overcooked (medium well instead of medium rare); but what was worse was the tough, chewy quality, lack of any beef flavor, let alone any hint of actual dry aging as advertised. Instead it was woefully overseasoned. Mashed potatoes tasteless....the fresh bread on the table made for a better side dish. Here, the server did ask and later offered me a free dessert to make up for it. I feel I could have easily rated this 2 stars - the place lived up to being in a Casino - but the view of Padilla Bay and Mt. Adams very much upgraded the experience again. Unless last year was an outlier, I would wildly speculate it went downhill due to a change in chef.
