Terri is the best! We've used Glendora/Terri before. This time we had standing water in our dishwasher. She fixed that but told us we needed an air gap installed because it wasn't up to code. We had to get our kitchen remodeler out to drill a hole in the counter top for it and then she came over and installed the air gap. I told her it wasn't cleaning the dishes and we had an appliance person scheduled to come. She said there would be much more water circulation with the air gap and new hose she put in and it might solve the problem. It did! We cancelled the appliance guy and the dishwasher is working great. We had a previous issue with the dishwasher and the appliance person didn't even mention the air gap. What a company! PLEASE don't change the way you operate! I bought a larger more expensive home, and it seems that every service I need is double the price of my old house and quoted "for the job" instead of hourly, which is code for "sizing you up" on what they might get. I had the father Joe address a leaky backflow and their other technician handle a shower problem. Both were absolutely terrific. And the price was very fair. This is service the way things should be. The founder taught his son Joe how to be honest and a good member of the community. Joe passed it on to his son Mike. There is no pricetag that you can put on dignity and honesty. I have used Glendora Plumbing in the past and had no issues. Unfortunately, this is not my most recent experience. I called to have them give me a bid in October 2020 to move some water lines and the quote was reasonable. In January when I asked him to come back the price increased but was an easier job. Mike stated that the job would take about 2.5 hours at $120/hour. I agreed and he sent one of his guys to move the water lines. It took the guy 5 hours to do the job so I got billed twice as much as Mike stated and the guy did not put the water lines in the correct spot. This job should not have taken 5 hours to complete. This is unfortunate and I hope Mike makes the necessary corrections to his bidding and billing process. He needs to hold his guys to the standard he has set with his customers. read more

I hate to admit this, but we called one of those coupon in your mail plumbing companies first. First, your call goes into a call center. You explain your issue, but you are not talking to a plumber. They sent a very nice young man out, but after saying he had never seen a toilet like ours (it is old) he suggested we get a new toilet. All we needed was a special flapper, apparently one that maybe did not exist in the world of toilet flappers anymore.. After he left I called Mike B. He answered the phone. I explained the issue. He had the part, several, actually. He came out that same day. He repaired our toilet without a problem at all. His price was certainly fair and his professionalism delightful. They happened to be booked for the week so said if I wasn't happy with the guy I scheduled to give me the first estimate to call them back and they would come over. We needed someone to check out our water heater and a potential leak. Got a "National" franchise company (think green) quote which went from a range with a max. to 125% of the max.! They wanted me to sign a document within 10 minutes of getting a quote to start the next day, saying that I would pay whatever it ended up being. The big franchise guy wanted to take half my wall down and change a perfectly functioning water heater. This is how they add costs and hold you liable. When I said I wanted to think about it - the rep was not happy to say the least. I decided to stay local and called Glendora Plumbing - Mike was very prompt in responding, we set an appointment, he came and solved my problem without telling me I needed a new water heater! And he even noticed what a previous plumber did wrong. He said if it's not damp don't worry about it. Well that leak has become worse and is being corrected. When I asked for only water heater disconnect and reconnect costs, he got rise, calling me names and insulted my occupation. This according to Mike is mine or my tenants fault. You saw the stain, and advised to do nothing sir! -water in the heater drain of another property. Changed the water heater and it started leaking - spraying water all over the garage in the evening SAME DAY! Mike was busy and said he couldn't come to fix it that evening...I just paid for this! I turned it off and sent my wife and kids to go bathe at another family member's home. Not even so much as let me fix/paint all the damage from that leak...just soldered it and done.
