Great mussels marinara, tremendous pepperoni rolls and good pizza, what else do you need???

I never leave reviews on pizzerias but the service here was horrible. I ordered a small pie and calamari they said 45 minutes and it took them 1hr 30min. When I finally received the food it was cold and they forgot the condiments I requested when I ordered. I called them back to have them deliver the condiments and mention how cold the pizza was and the female that answered the phone was rude. When the delivery person returned with my condiments he just left it at the doorstep without even knocking on the door or ringing my bell. After reheating the cold pizza the sauce tasted like regular canned tomato sauce. I will not be ordering from here again and do not recommend this place to anyone read more

My co workers said this place was awesome, best pizza around here.. So I gave it a try. Yeah the pizza was good but not outstanding. The waitress is not attentive nor helped us. She barely came by our table to give us water, and she forget to bring you what you asked for.. Only thing I liked was the buffalo pizza and the Garlic buns they give out. read more

3.5 stars. I have never eaten their pizza as I always order traditional Italian dishes from their menu. Everything I have ordered here has been nicely prepared and has that homey feel. BYOB and good service. Their bread pudding is AMAZING! They should just dim the lights as the place is always too bright. read more

I absolutely love their chicken rolls. The marinara is a great compliment to it. The pizza is pretty good too. No complaints at all.

After several attempts to like this place, I've sadly given up. As far as pizza goes, it's okay but nothing outstanding. Everything seems rushed and uninspired. On my last visit I was craving a good chicken parmesan sandwich. However, it turned out to be the worst sandwich I've had in some time. It was hardly edible. The chicken was rubbery and smelled strange. After three bites I couldn't eat anymore. To say the least, I was really disappointed. Most can look beyond the stand-offish service but a $7 rubber parm sandwich is unforgiving. read more

First time actually trying this pizzeria in Union. It was actually pretty decent! I ordered a chicken parm and my boyfriend ordered baked ziti & the food was great. HOWEVER, the service here SUCKS. I walked into the restaurant and there's two people near the register chatting and I'm looking at them while they're laughing. (They also looked at me as well) Then another lady walks to the register, looks at me, then starts scrolling on her phone. I waited for maybe about 3-4 min before I was actually acknowledged. Worst service I've encountered at ANY pizzeria. Food is great but unfortunately will not be returning!! read more

Chrissy & Steve Thatch, We have been going to Glendale's since it was in it's first place on the corner of Stuyvesant and Oakland. They have great pizza, entrees and sandwiches, especially paninis and cheesesteaks. We had our wedding rehersal dinner there and the guests were totally impressed by the food. I don't know what kind of food Keeley S. thinks is good, but she is totally off base giving Glendale's a thumb's down, it is definitely a thumb's up. See you soon guys. read more

I ordered 2 pizzas and fried calamari at Glendale Pizzeria. I took it to go though. The service was good. Pizzas were freshly made and delicious. I got the Rustico and the cheesesteak pizza. The Rustico pizza was very good! The cheesesteak pizza was good also! The calamari wasn't crunchy as I would expect but tasted good. I might eat there someday. I would recommend this place if your looking for an Italian food or just a slice of pizza or a sandwich! read more

Don't really know where some of these bad reviews are coming from. Just ordered a plain pizza from Glendale and picked it up. It was still hot and not oily at all. Good amount of cheese and sauce as well. The crust had the perfect amount of crunchiness. Will definitely order pizza from here again and hopefully try some of their other food soon! read more

I have only sat and had a meal there a few times but when i did i had no complaints. I think there pizza is the highlight. Every single slice i have ever had was delicious..my favorite is the sicilian. I have never had a slice of sicilian anywhere else that was as delicious as theres. My husband is crazy for there buffalo chicken pizza as well. If you don't feel like having pizza there panini's are good as well. Good for a quick lunch or dinner. read more

I purchased a large pie from this place. The pizza arrived as promised and best of all the pizza was still hot. It's not inexpensive because the pie was $15 not sure really if a deliver charge was added to my bill. The driver was cool, but he assumed the money I provided went toward a tip instead of asking. Way too much sauce on this pizza. I have got a few of the regular pizzas and then a deep dish. Each time it tasted like they poured canned tomato soup on the pizza instead of pizza sauce. It is a bit pricier then the other pizza places in the area. read more

Glendales is one of the worst places I have ever ordered from. They charged me 19 dollars for a small peace of dried salmon with tiny asparagus and potatos in a glazed balsamic vinegar. When the food arrived I couldn't help being angry. For 19.00 that they charge for this ridiculous plate I should have just order Portugese which feeds two for 11.00. The food is tasteless, small portion and expensive. I do not and would never recommend this shit hole. read more

The best pizza place in Union. This is not Pizza Hut. This is straight up New York City style pizza. Theres no measuring or no counting how many peperoni's to put on. These pizzas are handmade to perfection. Now I was born and raised in the Bronx and been to a lot of pizzerias. These guys got it on lock. From the grandma slices to the baked ziti with sausage, Glendale is right. They have good service which they need because they are always busy. Sometimes I call in my order for pickup. They are always busy so you will wait for to-go orders. I've never seen big groups dining-in but I've seen a few people. The folks who work there are lovely and friendly. read more

I am a HUGE fan of Glendales! Lived in Union for nine years and had many diners and lunches at Glendales with friends and family. Staff was always extremely pleasant and the food is phenomenal! Always fresh always tasty... almost addictive. If you are not a fan of Italian cuisine you will be once you try Glendales. Since Ive moved to PA I will say I am spoiled. No matter where I go to have an Italian meal I go back to Glendales simply because no one does it like Glendales! read more

This place has gone down hill in recent months. The kitchen caters to the take out orders and neglects the dining room patrons. It can take hours to get served. They under staff as well. Our waitress nicely did an admirable job but she was the only one on duty to serve the entire restaurant. If we can find another reasonably priced and byob restaurant we would switch in a heartbeat at this point. Sad because we are long time customers. read more

For years, this was the Saturday night spot for us and our closest friends. We have spent thousands of dollars in there over many years. However the understaffed and poor service has forced us to consider other locations. No knock on the wait staff. They are great but it takes the kitchen sometimes 90 minutes to get food on our table. We always come in with about 6 people..Sometimes even more. Seriously, Mama's Glendale needs to decide if they want to be in the take out business or sit down restaurant business because they no longer seem to be able to do both.
