I had a windshield replaced in my 2013 Hyundai elantra. The windshield is fine but there is a lot of wind noise at highway speeds. The reason is they installed some jobber moulding that does not finish the gap at all. I was charged fifteen dollars for what they call an elantra moulding. It is not a Hyundai elantra moulding. I went back to the service desk and told the person I hear a lot of wind noise. He asked me to describe the noise. Really . I have to replace two wind shields on two of my motor homes and you can be sure it will not be at that shop. I am a licensed auto body mechanic and have been in the trade for over fifty years . This type of work would not be tolerated in any body quality body shop.I would love to put photos on this site but am unable. My replacement windshield installed by Glassmasters was factory defective - unbeknownst to the team - and Ryan worked tirelessly to make it right. This entailed 3 visits over 5 weeks to complete the work due to sensor and wiring issues... all out of the control of Glassmasters. 4 months ago I had my rear window replaced. They failed to remove all of the glass, which eventually got into the latch mechanism and wrecked it. In removing the panels we discovered 1 of them had damage to them that was covered by other pieces of trim. They are refusing to replace or pay for anything. DO NOT GO TO THEM. They will damage your vehicle and then claim it's your fault because you removed panels to find the damage they had. And then refuse to even look at the glass jamming the mechanism because "it's been 4 months with a signed invoice." They will claim they tell everyone that they recommend a detail when my wife never got told this. They're liars, they're hacks and you will regret your decision to have your vehicle repaired here. Go anywhere else. Can't wait for them to reply making it out to be my fault or try to have my review removed. read more

I saw the ugly rock chip (size of a toonie) on my windshield and knew I had to deal with it ASAP. I saw this place accepted walk ins. I didn't know they don't have a garage. Unfortunately, I came on a rainy day and was not able to get my windshield fixed. As a consolation, I received a stamped card for a $10 rock chip repair. I returned the next day, gave my name at the front desk and handed over my car keys. I waited only about 20 minutes for my windshield to be fixed. The rock chip/crack was filled. It's not entirely invisible but the job looks clean. Overall, I was pretty satisfied with my experience here. I didn't have to make an appointment and I didn't wait long for the service. I would recommend going to to this place if you get a rock chip in your windshield! I'll come back here if I have future problems with mine! read more

The only reason why I can't give 5 stars was because after getting the truck back, we found a utility knife blade on the passenger seat, that someone almost sat on. Friday afternoon we decided to replace the windshield on our Mazda 3. I went online and requested quotes. One site, without giving me a quote directed me to make an appointment. I received an acknowledgement from GlassMasters, letting me know a quote was being prepared. The same time their quote arrived I also received a quote from another site. Got a windshield replaced. Happy with the price but extremely disappointed with the salesperson trying to guilt me into buying their additional services. When leaving the store the salesperson after hearing i didn't want what he was selling, gave me a snide, rude remark about needing to come back a week later. Would really like to see salespeople give an honest, helpful suggestion without trying to GUILT the customer to getting upsold for something that clearly makes the business more money. Won't be back! Nice windshield, installed on schedule, decent price. Used their online form to request a quote, and got one within the hour, including a $25 discount. It seemed like a good deal (I took the word of fellow Yelpers who phoned around). Brought my car in at the appointed time and, as promised, it was ready to drive away in 2 1/2 hours. I had my laptop with me--there was a large, bright waiting area, decent coffee, good wifi, and even a couple of mini-workstations with power outlets, so it was a decidedly non-hellish place to wait. Bill matched my quote--$212 including tax and shop charges for my old Corolla. The clerk did take a conscientious stab at an upsell but did not press the issue when I cheerfully declined (I decided against a $50 chemical treatment that would supposedly harden my windshield and cause rainwater to magically bead and disperse). Staff was uniformly tidy and courteous, and kept me informed of the job's progress. Would definitely recommend. read more

This was my first time getting a rock chip (I think that's what it's called) fixed. I called in and got a quote of $30, but due to traffic I got there after 5PM so they were unable to fix it that day. It's first come first serve, and they need 45 minutes. They also told me to be there by 4:45pm the latest, but traffic was crazy! Scott (pretty sure that's his name) told me to come by the next day and they'd do it for $15. Again, I was running late and got there at 4:55PM. They didn't want to turn me down again so they just took my car and got to work. I planned on paying full price, $30, because of my tardiness. To my surprise, Scott said it's on them! He did it for FREE! They also finished by 5:20pm. I am definitely going to be back, and recommend them to everyone. This is the third vehicle I have had a windshield replacement done on. The first two there was damage to the trim, not fit correctly, leaving gaps. One I was selling so didn't really care enough to go through the hoops of taking it back. The other one, I was sick for a long time, and afterward I felt they probably wouldn't address it after so many months. However, this recent one I took back because: * The exterior moldings were damaged, apparently from prying them, and they were not glued back properly, plus they were not pushed back on the roof moldings that they fit to thus leaving a large gap between the moldings, and part of the moldings were broken in the gap. * The interior plastic moldings that were apparently removed were not fit back correctly, leaving a gap between the molding and the headliner. * The rubber door frame molding was not fitted correctly - it hung away from the frame in the corner transitioning from the upper frame to the slanted frame. When I pointed out these issues, they only glued the rubber trim back, and also the exterior molding on one side there it was pulling away. They DID NOT fit it back to the roof molding, nor did they glue down the inside part against the glass, only the outside part against the body/roof. They told me I signed off on this as acceptable, which I did not. They had put in the work order that 'the clips were broken previously and that the molding had been glued down'. I acknowledged that the clips had been broken, but that the previous windshield replacement had left all moldings correctly placed and glued down fully and correctly - no gaps anywhere. They went into a circular argument where I said it was repaired correctly last time and that I had brought it in without any of this damage and these gaps, and they say that the clips were broken and all they could do was add more glue. Pointless dealing with them. I called AMA, since I am a member and AMA has a contract with them. AMA investigated and determined that since no one had any photos showing the vehicle prior to glassmaster's repair, there was nothing more I could do than call AMVIC and open a case with them, and also post reviews like this here, and also on Yelp, and also file a complaint with BBB. Experienced A Poor Installation. I had to return my vehicle 2 days after the installation of a new front windshield because of a water leak. They did not seal the new windshield properly. They got defensive about the obvious error, by claiming that the water leak had nothing to do with the installation of the new windshield. This is the 2nd time we have used these guys this year (unfortunately we still need a 3rd!) The 1st being for or 2010 Golf GTI this time for our son's 2000 GMC Sierra. Both times they were not only on schedule.. but even slightly ahead. We booked online & saved $25 off of the original quote and there were no surprises at pick up, it was exactly as quoted! The staff were fast & friendly and professional throughout the process. They thoroughly explained how long to leave the tape on and to crack a window for the next 24 hours while the windshield sets. The waiting room had plenty of seating and coffee tea etc as well as a TV to keep you entertained if you had to wait for your vehicle at all. When I paid I was even given a card good for a chip repair after mentioning to the new manager that this was my 2nd vehicle I had brought in recently. It's one of those places you don't want to go to, but occasionally you need. Recently, our car was broken into and the front passenger window was shattered. Our dealer suggested GlassMasters, and after calling around, we found them to have the best price. They dealt with our insurance with no problem, and most importantly, they fit us in that day, so we only had a half day of driving around town with the plastic bag on the window. They did a decent job of vacuuming up the glass, but I still took it to a detailing place for a more thorough job. But overall, I was impressed with GlassMasters, though I hope I never have to go back. read more

I chose GlassMasters because of a coupon I had from the SUTP book. I needed them to repair one chip and one crack. Unfortunately the crack got worse as they were trying to fix it and to make up for it I wasn't charged for anything and offered a good discount on a new windshield if I chose to replace it in the spring.
