On a recent trip to Calgary my Subaru picked up a rather large stone kicked up by a truck. It didn't seem to be an issue but with the spring warm/cool days a crack formed over half the windscreen. I normally went to Crystal but they aren't the most friendly. I looked up Crackmasters and saw glowing reviews. This was utterly painless - I drove up and Philip came out. He grabbed the keys and told me he'd text in a couple hours or so. It was done a bit earlier and picking up was just as painless. The service was good, the workmanship appears excellent. After a relatively short crack on my windshield suddenly decided to span the entire thing, I immediately started looking for a replacement. After weighing some options, I opted to take my vehicle here. I was able to get in quickly - only having to push my appointment because of my own schedule. Phil greeted me upon my arrival and got my vehicle in right away. All-in-all, the replacement took about 90 minutes, and I was on my way. Got a new used car so I had to replace the windshield. The day before my appointment my car didn't start so I called and moved my appointment back a week no problem no fee. Came in fixed in under 2 hours. Helped me replace my licence plate as well and put anti-rust paint on the screws. Super friendly, very dad like. 10/10 service. read more

I booked my car in for a few days later, I was delighted to learn the location was a few blocks from my office. It was convenient & easy for me to drop off & pick up. Phil & his team installed my windshield in a few hours & I was good to go. A bonus for customers when you get a new windshield installed is that you receive free rock chip repair in the first 3 months after your install! CRACKMASTERS - WEST EDMONTON!! YOU ARE AWESOME!! I was less than impressed this morning when this little chip in my windshield became a long crack all of a sudden! I heard it and then it streaked across! AARGH! I let out some words... Through some searching, I came upon Crackmasters. I was actually on another's review when someone who reviewed the other company said they wished they had gone to Crackmasters...so, I called Philip in the west location. He had a drive-in day today so he got me in right at lunch. Right away, he put me at ease - he is kind, soft-spoken, and explains everything he is going to do. He asked me to enjoy the waiting room, which had his own wifi, while they worked on it. He said 40 minutes but I swear they were done in 25-30. He brought me into the bay and showed me exactly what they did, what I could expect, and gave me some great advice as well. All in all, even though it's one of the woes of driving, I feel that Philip is a terrific person to know who takes care and pride in helping his community out as he runs his business. Called for a quote this morning on my wife's rear door glass. I myself use to work in the glass industry auto and commercial. The man on the other side of the phone was nothing short of rude, not to mention he even attempted to call back to gain my services. I think not. Crackmaster you suck, I will never be looking directions for even a quote. Maybe acquire some proper customer service if you're going to be running a business that comes in contact with customers through the work day. If I could do negative stars I would. read more

Based on the positive reviews on Yelp, I gave this business a try last November to fix the rock chip damage on my windshield. Although it's likely can save a few dollars with a Groupon, the extra $10 or so you spent really translates into the exceptional customer service you get. Phil and his staff are knowledgeable and patiently answered all of my questions. I didn't feel pressured into buying products I didn't need and received very straightforward advice. After having poor experiences at other windshield repair shops, I decided to try this Crackmasters location. I originally found out about them from Instagram and then read the other yelp reviews before deciding to give them a try...and I am very glad I did! I went in with a long windshield crack, expecting them to say they couldn't fix it, but Phil was so friendly and said they could definitely fix it. He even said they could fit me in that day or first thing the next morning, as he understood it was time sensitive in case it cracked more! They also have free wifi and Netflix while you wait...though it didn't take long at all. Overall a great experience and I would recommend this Crackmasters location to anyone. read more

They provide quick service when you have an issue, same day. So we took our truck in that had the passenger window broken. It took much longer than we'd been quoted by others but we weren't in a hurry and were comfortable in the waiting area. We found out a while later they were indeed having issues with the trucks door. 1 & 1/2 hrs later the new window is installed and we are asked to check that things work on the way out. Not even a week later the window no longer goes up and down. They again open up the door but say the wiring is too loose so it's the manufacturers problem. They won't answer questions about it and they refuse to accept they are the only ones who have worked in this window. There are much older vehicles that don't have windows taped up due to this. read more

The best windshield repair I have ever experienced. Their windshield replacement prices were at least a hundred dollars cheaper because Phil accurately reports the labour hours. Not only is Phil a friendly professional guy but you can tell he is careful and precise with his work as he even cuts the receipt in half with a pair of scissors instead of ripping it like pretty much everyone else does. read more

Very prompt response from Phil, who worked up two quotes on my windshield - one for plain replacement and one for replacement with rain sensing ability. I easily booked an appointment via email and the completed replacement was done with excellent workmanship. Phil gave clear instruction on things to do/avoid to ensure the new windshield set completely. And a 90 day chip repair post-install. I dropped by just before closing time and I thought I'd just get a quick quote for a rock chip in my windshield of my brand new vehicle, and come back another day. Phil told me to bring it in and he'd get it done right away. These are the nicest guys you could meet and I really appreciated the fast friendly service.
