Throughout the life of your glasses, you can come in for tightening of screws or otherwise small refits. My ears are at different heights, and I've always had to futz with my glasses myself to make it feel right, but Tal did the adjustment for me right in the store! If you're looking for Liz Claiborne frames, this store might not be for you. I have been hunting for a frame to replace my Tom Fords. I stopped by Glasses to check out their selection. I was assisted by Neda, who was very helpful and patient. Frank, their bulldog mascot, gave very valuable non-verbal feedback. The staff was very friendly, professional and honest. They'll tell you if the frame doesn't work for your face. Who wants to be stuck with glasses that aren't flattering? It's a major decision! People are going to notice your glasses first. Consistent with the vast majority of reviewers, I found the staff to be overly-helpful, friendly, and extremely knowledgable about style, fashion and even beauty--what looks good one someone might not necessarily look good on you. They actually take the time to find the pair that make you look like a million bucks, so that when you walk out that door and climb up those steps, you FEEL like a million bucks too. I honestly can't think of a place that has the type of selection that this place offers. My experience with optic store Glasses Ltd on Oak street Chicago. I ordered two sets of prescription eyeglasses separated by about 40 days. They were to be the exact same progressive lens with Varilux X-Series High Index (HD) 1.74. Both eyeglasses that I received from the Glasses Ltd were without the Certificate of Authenticity cards and were HD 1.67 lenses. An independent optic shop pointed out that my eyeglasses were made with HD 1.67 lenses. After talking to Glasses Ltd, they refunded to me the cost differences and for the inconvenience caused to me. I was told by Glasses Ltd that the Optical Lab substituted the less expensive version of lenses on both pair of eyeglasses without informing Glasses Ltd. It seems improbable to me that their Optic Lab would make the same exact substitutional error twice on my eyeglasses in that time period. I should not have to examine the unique laser engraving symbols inside the lenses to confirm the purchase orders. I would recommend confirming your orders with another optic shop. I felt I was misled by this disappointing experience. read more

I'm a man who is all about customer service and this place provided that. I was headed out of town for a business meeting and through all the chaos, I dropped and broke my glasses. What are the odds of that? I must've spent 30 seconds looking at the ground in disbelief. My flight was at 6:15pm, it's literally 2pm and I have no glasses so I asked Siri "Where is the closets glasses store?" She led me to Glasses LTD. I won't bore you with the details of the introduction but I have to admit they were good. I told the owner Zach(?) that I needed my glasses before leaving to airport but he didn't know i meant that day....like in a few hours. After I told him, it seemed as if he looked at my face and picked out a few pair he thought I'd look good in. I wanted a new style because I had those glasses for 5 years so after describing my old pair, he made sure the selection was different. He didn't try to sell me on extra features, he just wanted me to have a good pair that I can use for another 5 plus years. It was 2:45 and I said I was leaving to the airport at 4. He assured me that I will be okay and he will call me in 45mins to an hr tops when the rush order was complete, which he did. Here's the best part, when they called to tell me the glasses were ready he instantly followed up by asking me where I was and he will personally drop them off for me. I gave him my work address and upon leaving he was standing there with my glasses. It was a perfect sight. The glasses guy and my cab. I grabbed the glasses, thanked him VERY briefly and went on to the airport. If the people at Glasses LTD. are reading this, I want to thank you and apologize for being in a rush when you dropped off my glasses. I will forever be a customer and recommend this place to any and everyone. If customer service were this good with my phone and cable bill, life would be easy. Again, thanks. read more

Incredible service and great selection. I didn't buy my frames or lenses here; I'm in Chicago on business travel and dropped in for an adjustment. Tal did a fantastic job adjusting my Lunor frames - spent time to ensure lenses were properly aligned with my pupils. If you've had misaligned lenses before, you'll know how important it is to get this right. I have a very high, narrow bridge but he knew exactly what to do for a perfect, comfortable fit. Not only are they comfy, I see better now. Tal also spent a lot of time explaining the features of my frames - I never knew they used silk to give the acetate flexibility! He advised me on how to properly clean and defog them. Critical for someone who lives in the tropics. Tal and his colleagues clearly have a passion for eyewear and optics. My father was an eye surgeon and owned an optical shop - yet I learned more from Tal in 10 minutes than I ever learned from my dad. And for all the advice, the adjustment, and cleaning solution, Tal charged me exactly $0. If I didn't live halfway around the world, this would be my regular optical shop, with no other shop even coming close. Fantastic job Tal and thank you for getting my frames fixed! read more

I just purchased a pair of Barton Perreira glasses from Glasses Ltd. They are absolutely stunning and I have received so many compliments on them. The two women who helped me were so attentive and they really know about their product. They have a great eye for which frames would look best on my face and I really felt like they went above and beyond to make sure I left with everything exactly as I wanted it.
