It's been raining like crazy this February and sure enough, I heard a ping hit my windshield while driving the 5 freeway. At first I didn't think it cracked but a few days later Stephen spotted it. It was not one crack but 2. So on a Saturday I called Cesar and he squeezed me in at 3:00. He arrived at my house and quoted me $85. Driving in carpool on 55 north to 5 north and a rock came out of nowhere and smashed my window, irony was that there were no cars in front of me and a carpool barrier next to me... Went on Yelp on Sun and surprisingly quite a few companies got back to me ASAP. I sent pictures with very clear description, a few just wanted to charge me for the full replacement but I was hopeful the damage could be repaired. Various quotes out there but Cesar gave a very reasonable one with lots of pictures from his clients. A few people tried to gauge me but that is why you get multiple quotes. Cesar arrived the next day, Monday, at his designated time. It took him about 45 minutes, he protected the hood of my car from his equipment and the result was better than expected. The two holes are about 1 inch apart but pretty large with spider cracking. Since it's on the passenger side, I was ok with just a mediocre result but the outcome came out pretty well. Two little dots but nothing too noticeable. I have pictures of the before and will post the after later as it started to rain right after he completed the job.
