I learned a lot about the distilling process, enjoyed the event space and got to taste ice cold vodka out of the still (a rare occurrence we were lucky enough to experience). What a beautiful space, surpassed only by the beautiful (and sippable! What!?) Vodkas! What sets these spirits apart is that the vodkas are distilled from WA wine grapes. I have never been a vodka drinker, but this place will easily convert you as it did me and you'll be asking for it by name at bars and restaurants in no time. They do a honey-infused vodka that has such a subtle sweetness - perfect for any hot day (or any day, really. Let's be honest). But far and away, the Kona coffee infused vodka was the best. Glass Distillery is a super cool place to try out some interesting vodkas of all flavors! Located on 1st Ave in the Industrial District, it's super close to other businesses, such as Paseos and the Safeco Stadium. I came for an event, but have to say that the staff was super friendly. The atmosphere is pretty casual, but that's what I like most about it. As much as I liked the place, the bottle design was pretty striking. They'd make good gift items. In terms of vodka tastes, I liked their spiced and peach flavored ones the best so far. Definitely a big plus! read more

We saw this place while driving by in SoDo for another event and have been wanting to visit ever since. Well the day finally came and it turned that Glass Distillery was celebrating their 7th Birthday on that day. Their tastings were $7 (of course free with purchase). The staff is knowledgeable andf riendly . We tried the full selection and enjoyed all the vodka flavors like Gridiron, Nectar, Kona, Spice and Selkirk. The bottles themselves are gorgeous - when they're empty you'll want to keep them. We ended up purchasing the Gridiron and Spice Vodkas. Parking can be tricky although we found street parking just in front of the shop. read more

I had the opportunity to visit this gorgeous distillery today, and was so impressed by the venue, owner Ian, and the scrumptious vodkas - especially the kona blended with ice cream. Came here on a Wednesday night for a Yelp Event! This place is conveniently situated in the Industrial District, near Chinatown. I tried the kona coffee vodka, and also tried it mixed with ice cream! It was delicious! I am not a huge vodka fan but you can tell that the flavor was there. The decor is really neat inside. Everything was spaced out aesthetically. If you or a friend likes vodka and are interested in trying new flavors, I recommend this place! I haven't had the chance to scope out this place entirely and try other flavors hence the 4 stars. Thanks for a great Elite event. I usually don't drink vodka straight, it was nice to sample some of the naturally infused libations. The honey one was especially nice and reminded me of a fine bourbon rather than a vodka. Came here for the Yelp elite event, and I was so impressed! Met the owner Ian and learned all about how they distill the spirits. The glass art in the shop was incredible, the ambience was modern with a ton of rustic touches. I'm definitely not much of a drinker of "hard" liquor but we sampled a few of the different vodkas and though I thought I'd like the Kona coffee infused the best, but my favorite was actually the cinnamon. And I'm not a big fan of spiced drinks at all. But the top of it all was the barrel aged Selkirk. Wow, very tasty! Neat experience! read more

is it possible to give 10 stars? so far there has only been one type of vodka that I will drink pure - nothing can touch it. No ice, no mixers, etc. that number has been out tripled due to glass distillery. their space is beautiful and reminiscent of a New York Soho loft. Their bottles are exquisite and the owner and other employee are warm, fun, knowledgeable generous people. but let's get to the real issue here: the vodka. i'm at a loss for words on how to describe it without sounding cheesy. it's rare that drinking vodka can compare to drinking an incredibly fine wine but the experience of drinking glass distillery vodka is just that. The flavors are beautiful, the tingling experience as it hits your taste buds is unexpected and lovely. it invokes all of your flavor sensations, including ones you didn't even know you had. it's that good.we are lucky to have them in Seattle. read more

Classy venue and store with beautiful and elegant vodka displays. I attended a vodka tasting event via Yelp and I had a wonderful time. The Glass Distillery team walked us through their storefront and machinery area. It was fascinating to hear their inspirations and secrets, such as the fact that the tasting tabletop in the room next to the storefront is actually a fully functioning hot tub! The owner, Ian, is a fantastic person with impeccable fashion taste--we have the same favorite fashion designer, Lilly Pulitzer. He even designed one of their vodka bottles after her prints (see the 3rd attached pic, of the green bottle). I loved everything about my time at Glass Distillery and I would highly recommend a visit. read more

I came here for an American Chemical Society event and was privileged enough to hear a talk and walk around the distillery with the owner, Ian. It's clear that he has a taste for the finer things and is willing to spend extra to make everything look "just so." His distillery setup was immaculate (custom built by engineers in Germany I think) and there is a lot of attention to detail evident all over. He also has a lot of ties with the artisan glassblowers in the area, which is where the name of his distillery comes from. Although I don't usually drink vodka, his "glass vodka" tasted great and was produced from grapes grown in Washington. I'm going to buy a bottle at the first chance I get; it's more costly than your average bottle of vodka but you can tell a lot of love was put into what he's making. read more

I tried some of their vodka at a food and wine event and it was quite good. It reminded me of a clean vodka but it is made with wine so you taste that. Overall excellent Vodka and I would stand this up next to Grey Goose. I think this would be perfect vodka on the rocks with a lemon or orange slice. Would also make a great vodka soda. read more

I visited Glass at a vodka tasting last week. The inside of the building completely blew me away: beautifully, tastefully decorated, with something interesting to look at no matter where your eyes wandered. You could see the distilling equipment in the back, which was also really cool looking and seemed to set the tone for the entire rest of the building. Everything from the floor to the bottles to the stairs was unique and interesting, but in a subtle, not-too-in-your-face way. I'm not a huge vodka drinker, honestly, but the vodka was better than what I'd drank previously and I enjoyed it. Best Vodka Distillery! I typically don't like Vodka. I prefer Rum. Their selection was delicious though! I called prior to stopping by for a tasting to inquire if they allow dogs. The response I got was an overwhelming yes. When we arrived the host was excited to see our two pups and even got her coworkers to come take a break from distilling and have some pup pet time. The owner spoke with us for a while and was extremely nice and grateful we decided to bring our dogs into their business. We had a great time and cant wait to come back and try their upcoming new premade cocktails. read more

Heard about this place last week, decided to check it out. Finding their website took a bit, but once we found it we could find no hours or phone number. Thinking they would be open on a Tuesday at 4pm, a bunch of us came over to check it out. Closed. No hours posted on door or phone number. Called information. No phone number. We went to the first release party for their newest product called Glass Kona Vodka. Don't expect something sugary and coffee "flavored"! On first pass, it looks like a shot of espresso and to our delight, the taste and rich smell is radically honest. In trying to describe it with my friends, the first thing we thought was, "why hasn't anyone else done this?!" Nothing about Glass Kona is gratuitous - which we loved. We've tried, bought, and gifted their flagship Glass vodka because of the gorgeous bottle and the fact that we enjoy a beautiful "sipping vodka". I've since served Glass Kona at dinner parties (limoncello is a classic but kind of a dead horse) with a bowl of fresh raspberries, caramels and chocolates and I've gotten comments that my after-dinner drink presentation is chic and edgy. Chocolates, fresh fruit, and a luscious dark cocktail ... it's kinda sexy. We want to have an event at the distillery because the space is so impressive. No square inch of that place is plain. From the shattered glass and concrete floors, to the reclaimed wood on the walls, to the distiller's own art which hangs everywhere, and the back room which houses the beautiful copper still - and hey, we're having a get-together at a vodka distillery in SODO. What am awesome happenstance that I was introduced to Glass Vodka. The Glass Distillery is located in the Sodo area, just south of downtown Seattle. The building is a cool rehab, a modern loft vibe, Ian's original art brightens the walls. Within is a serious distillery!! "Willy Wonka" Copper Stills, yes & yes! The ever smiling, genius, artist, owner Ian MacNeil is also the keeper of the stills. The cherry on top is kick ass 100% grape vodka! Hands down the best sipping vodka out there!! Their coffee infused Kona Vodka and the honey infused Honey Vodka are a tasting pleasure. Don't expect syrupy sweet, just smooth delicious flavors! My only regret is that we don't have it in Colorado yet. Ian says they have Colorado in their crosshairs, so I will welcome the day we have it here! Cheers to my friends at Glass Distillery! read more
