Northshore Window was by far the least expensive option. They were even less than HALF of what another contractor quoted for the same window! Let me save you a few hours of sales pitches and strangers walking through your house. Use these guys for your window replacement job. They know what they are doing, they are clean, they are quick and above all else they use a better window than most. Harvey windows are the way to go if you live in New England. The owner met with me directly and assured me that no contractors would be doing the work they arrived exactly when they said they would and again their direct employees did the work. I feel I got a superior window which was a Harvey at a very fair if not lower than average price and had competent knowledgeable people doing The work. I will definitely use them in the future

You ever have a basement window just....sporadically shatter for no apparent reason? Well,…read moreevidently this is just a thing that randomly occurs in this part of town. The last time I had glass shatter spontaneously was back in '24 when our winter storm door screen was completely pulverized by the summer heat, it seems (Pro-life tip: swap out your storm door screens in the summer with mesh ones). On the back of that unforeseen devastation, out went my mass inquiries to all the local shops servicing the Nashua area. Out of maybe 5 (?), 3 responded almost instantly. One sent a quote so high, I was half tempted to reply and ask if I could have some of whatever they were smoking. Another replied with what seemed to be a promising rate, but there was one problem. Their communication was severely intermittent to the point where they inexplicably ghosted me faster than a recruiter responding to a job applicant. Ultimately, I settled on Good Window Works. They offered a fair quote, were easy to get ahold of, and even provided a COI statement as per the request of our housing board. For those unaware, a COI is a Certificate of Insurance. Basically, it's assurance to the board that the contractor in question is insured to complete the job without creating a liability if they, say....jam their thumb beneath a tack hammer or something. With those formalities out of the way, the job was simple enough: Replace the half of the basement window that abruptly disintegrated. All in all, the job took roughly 2 hours. In the end, the window he installed was so transparent, it looked like there was no pane at all in the frame. But no--the glass was just THAT pristine! I don't say this often, but....experiences like these are what I love most about being a Yelp writer. So rarely do I get to be in the position to not only promote another hard working local business, but also pose as the microcosmic advertising vehicle that just might serve as the prompt some very fortunate individual needs to go, "Yeah, I'm hiring this place to work on my house". If you're wondering whether you should hire these guys for your next installation or repair job, the answer is likely yes. Good Window Works is worth 5 window panes clearer than thin air out of 5.

I had a window with a broken pane on the third floor attic. I called several places, including one…read moreI've used for years for glass and screen repair. Only Good Windows responded and sent someone out to do an estimate. They just finished the job. The original estimate was done from the ground, however when the technician was able to get the unit out of the frame, (This is an old style window), we both saw that additional work had to be done. The tech did the work and did an excellent job. It was only a bit more over the original estimate, but quite reasonable. I highly recommend Good Window Works.

I strongly encourage anyone considering Cechinel Siding & Windows to read this review before…read moresigning a contract or making a substantial payment. I wish someone had warned me before I hired this company. I hired Cechinel for a major exterior renovation involving siding, trim, and deck replacement. After paying a substantial amount of money, what followed was one of the most frustrating, stressful, and disappointing experiences I've ever had as a homeowner. One of the most troubling aspects of this experience was the demolition of my deck. Cechinel removed my existing deck without obtaining a deck permit. I subsequently learned from the Building Department that engineered plans and new footings would be required before a replacement could be constructed. How does a contractor undertake a project of this magnitude without addressing these requirements before demolishing a homeowner's existing deck? I was left without a deck, facing unresolved permitting and construction requirements, additional expenses, and significant delays. Even more frustrating, I have reached out to Cechinel seeking an explanation and resolution, but my attempts to address this issue have been met with silence. The workmanship raised equally serious concerns. Proper house wrap, flashing, and exterior trim installation are critical to protecting a home from water intrusion and costly long-term damage. After observing the work being performed, I became increasingly concerned about the quality of the installation and whether my home was being properly protected. On a project exceeding $100,000, I expected professional oversight, proper planning, experienced supervision, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of those expectations. Eventually, I lost so much confidence in the company's ability to complete the renovation properly that I felt I had no choice but to stop the work. Instead of improving my home, this experience has left me with an unfinished renovation, no deck, significant stress, and the additional burden of finding another contractor to evaluate and complete the project. My warning to other homeowners is simple: Do your homework before trusting this company with your home and your money. Verify permits directly with your building department. Have the workmanship independently inspected. Document everything. And most importantly, be extremely cautious about making substantial payments before work has been properly completed. I trusted Cechinel Siding & Windows with a major investment in my home, and I deeply regret that decision. I would never hire this company again, and based on my experience, I cannot recommend them to anyone. If sharing my experience prevents even one homeowner from going through what I've experienced, then writing this review will have been worthwhile.

Everyone could add free window wrap and beat the other guy by $26 bucks when they saw the better quote. Keep looking cause I knew they were ripping me off. Juan and his helper came in and made sure everything was air tight around the windows with caulking and spray foam and windows were wrapped as I wanted. The whole experience was smooth and they did a great job. Another thing they do that I have never seen before was we will fix any problems we find at no added cost. Everyone is getting everything for the price promised. No added on cost even if problems are found they fix it. It's now mid-November, and not only are the windows still not installed, but the installation date was just pushed again to mid-December--almost five months after signing. We specifically reviewed the timeline because we wanted this done before it gets cold. We have booked dog daycare which has to be rescheduled, it affects our schedules, plans, and will massively impact our work, which is WFH. The measuring process was chaotic. The person sent to measure always gave last-minute notice and had to come out multiple times because they kept miscounting the number of windows--always short by one. Communication throughout this process has been terrible. You have to constantly follow up for updates; Zen never reaches out proactively or takes ownership of delays. Every update comes only after you chase them. When we brought up these issues, the company's response was to blame the original sales rep, who is "no longer with them." Convenient excuse, but the timeline and promises were in writing. Zen has taken no accountability for the misinformation or poor service. Yes, they may be cheaper than competitors, but you truly get what you pay for--unreliable timelines, lack of professionalism, and customer service that's downright egregious. Buyer beware!

The workmen sent out were hard workers and had our windows installed in a bit less than two full days. The windows look alright. The bad: our sales person went through the windows that were available to be installed in all the places we needed them. He painted a great picture of the modern styling of those windows that would make a positive change from what we had. He took measurements and took a 33% deposit from us. We told him it was our intent to pay the balance when due from a different source, our line of credit that was to be used for repairs and improvements on our home. He acknowledged that. We were then told that payment would be due after the inspector came out. He said the next person to come out would be a man who would take final measurements before the windows were ordered and built. When that next man came to our home, after taking measurements, he changed quite a few of the types, styles and consequently sizes of the windows we had spent time picking out with salesman. Nothing looked or promised to function the way we thought it would. We were told this was to keep the integrity of both windows and the home. We didn't know what to do but with the weather starting to get cooler and wanting to finish the installation before winter, we decided to move forward. Workmen came and as stated previously, work was completed on day 2. I asked the lead workman before they left if I was supposed to give him a check/pay him and he said, "No." He told me someone from the office would be in touch, probably the next day. I sent an email that evening asking our Concierge to let me know how I was to get a check for final payment to them and when the inspector would be coming out. The next morning, checking my email, I found that without paying any attention to the fact that we had told both the sales person and Concierge that our final payment would be in the form of a check from our line of credit account, they had taken an ACH payment from my checking account. I couldn't believe it! I called and got unsatisfactory reasoning as to why this happened and finally, a promise to try to correct it and a promise of a call back. Before any of that could happen, my husband transferred the payment amount into our checking account and I called back to let them know how we had handled it. I was then also informed that my town does not require an inspector to come out. That might have been good to know a bit earlier. Too much miscommunication throughout the entire project.

Google is worthless, you go there and they have 4.8. It's a complete fraud. It's pretty much extortion and villainy. I can't believe that when I looked them up and went to Yelp and saw all the horrible reviews and disgraceful photos of their work. I went out to ChatGPT and said how can a business like this be successful? How could people honestly give them any money or any business or any time of their important day. In AI said that people were stupid. They don't do their homework and they watch TV and open flyers and see it and hire them. I think it's so disgraceful.
