I had a broken window in my living room and Gary called me back the same day when I messaged his company. He came right out and measured the glass and came back less than a week later and replaced the glass in about 20 minutes. He did a great job and I would highly recommend him. read more

Gary was very responsive, and did a really great job removing and replacing a large wall mirror in our bathroom remodel. Very professional and I highly recommend him. You won't be disappointed! read more

I did NOT actually use them for anything -- but I did get a price from them on just a piece of glass. No installation or anything, just a piece of glass. They were much more expensive than most other companies. I was able to get the glass delivered for $850, and they wanted to charge $1300+ Just seems a really expensive option for just buying a piece of glass. read more

Gary has been responsible and reliable the whole time, he came a couple of times to make sure the window fits perfectly ! I would recommend him to anyone i know who needs glass services! read more

Gary did a great job. He completed the window quickly, and it looks perfect.

I used them in 2018 for a glass top to my dining room table. They were awesome to work with. The price, the scheduling and the explanation of what I should consider. I have reached out to them again -- this time for a mirror for my bathroom and searched my bank statements to find their name as I wanted to use them again because they were that wonderful! read more

I needed a panel in a frameless glass shower removed, cleaned, reinstalled, and resealed. I sent Gary a photo and he sent me a quote and date on the spot. Work was done within a couple hours a few days later. Thanks Gary. read more

I needed a kitchen window repaired that was shattered during a break-in. I actually called 3 different glass companies. The first one I tried told me they would have to send the window out to be replaced (which I just assumed was the norm for an insulated window based on what he told me). I scheduled an appointment because I really needed the replacement and the guy never showed up or called. I then tried Shawmut. Gary got back to me promptly, quoted me $100 less than the previous company. He showed up at the day/time agreed on, fixed the window on site in 15 minutes. Very friendly guy too! Quick and easy.. I'd recommend Shawmut! Just one note: he did NOT respond via email, I had to call. read more

I had an antique door that needed two good size glass pieces to be repaired before the winter months. Many did not want to take the job on as it needed a small amount of wood repair as well. Gary said he would come out and look at it and then let me know. He was there that afternoon to give me a consult, took measurements and accepted the job. He was back the next day to complete the job! It looks marvelous! I am so pleased with his craftsmanship. Gary was professional, honest, clean and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend his company. read more

Tried several times to connect with these people and when they finally set an appointment, they never showed up, called/texted or emailed. Complete waste of my time. read more

Excellent prompt polite service, above and beyond expectations. I needed a mirror cut for a diy craft project and I told Gary that I would love to get it ASAP. I was so happy when he contacted me the very next day with a beautifully finished mirror, ready to deliver to my door early that afternoon!!! Very happy with the service and quality. read more

Gary was great to work with! I had a huge crack in a guest bedroom window. He came by, took measurements, a down payment, and set a timeline for when the replacement glass would come in. Everything was on time and he came back promptly to replace it. He even took a look at some small repairs with other windows and was able to help with those on the spot. I'd highly recommend for your window repair needs! read more

Excellent service! Had a window break during a weekend storm and was able to easily schedule prompt repair. Communication went smoothly around the workplan, arrived on time and explained repair process. Transparent with pricing as well. Highly recommend for an emergency repair! read more

Excellent! Highly recommend & came to my rescue to replace a portion of glass in front door. So very happy with results!

Made an appointment for him to replace a broken window and he never showed, never bothered to return our calls or texts. Just stood us up and still no explanation or an apology! read more

I used this company to replace a broken window, it was not an emergency but they came same day which was great. Long story short a gentleman can with a woman to and decided they wanted to take the window and come back later it was already 3:30pm and told them I would only be home until 6pm. The gentleman became snippy about everyone wants things timed blah blah, meanwhile I didn't expect same day service nor did ask for it. Fast forward next day he comes to install and uses one of my kitchen chairs to stand on, this was very non professional seeing how he knew what the job installed the day before. Not very professional and bad attitude. A plus is he was fast and efficient. read more

Great service, friendly, helpful (Gary helped re-design a portable a/c vent I had planned) and affordable. Thanks!

Gary is fantastic! Beautiful product! (this is the same business as Statewide Glass) He just installed a custom glass shower door and panel in my new bathroom in the South End... it turned out fabulously. Not only did he beat all of the other quotes received from top-rated glass companies, I am so glad I used him... my shower was apparently unaligned / unlevel, and needed extra attention and care. Before finalizing the measurements to the supplier, Gary came back over on a Sunday morning to ensure the dimensions were perfect. The final product was beautiful. His attention to detail, work ethic and respect for his craft is very refreshing. I'd recommend him again and again. read more

We needed to replace a cracked window pane on the second floor of a brownstone. Gary responded within hours and was at our place the next day for a quote. He was quick, highly professional and knew exactly what he was doing. Excellent job and also subsequent follow up to ensure the work was perfect. I highly recommend Gary read more

I had a great experience with Shawmut Glass. I had a broken apartment window and called Gary. I explained the situation and gave him the window dimensions. He gave me a quote and was able to fix it within 48 hrs. He was also able to accomodate my schedule - coming over at 5pm. What he quoted me on the phone was exactly what I paid. He arrived on time, was courteous and was done within an hour. I would use him again. read more

I needed a living room window replaced so I called the phone number listed on Yelp for Shawmut Glass- a guy called back stating he was from Statewide Glass, and I said "oh, I thought I called Shawmut". He responded that it was the same company...Well, long story short- it's not the same company at all. He took my window and half the payment, and said it would be ready the following week. I didn't hear back, so I called this number again & it was out of business. I called the number listed on Shawmut Glass's website, and they seemed terrific, very helpful & responsive. Said he would help however he could, but that Statewide was not the same company, and somehow that guy took their phone number. I finally got in touch with the guy from Statewide glass & he was fairly unprofessional, and it took almost a month to get my window back- I had to keep calling and asking when he would be here, because twice he was a "no call, no show." In the future, I would definitely give Shawmut Glass a chance- their actual phone number now is (781)-773-1769 or (888) 984-2045. read more

I strongly recommend Shawmut Glass. I broke a window in my apartment right before I was going to start showing it to prospective subtenants, and Shawmut Glass fixed it within 12 hours. They showed up exactly when they said they would, did a perfect job, and didn't even charge me all that much. read more

It was done as promised. Only one suggestion, if you leave a message and you don't hear back in a reasonable time, give another call, they are busy. I hope I don't need glass replaced any time soon, but if I do, I'd call them again. Boston area. read more

I'm not normally a review writer, but this time, I had to say something. I called Aaron At Shawmut/Alina Glass to give me a pretty straightforward estimate to replace 4 broken vapor seals in a large window in the South End, an area that he told me over the phone that he does a lot of work. He promised he would get me the estimate the following Monday. Monday turned into Thursday, and when I called, he said that he'd had a "Glass Emergency", and would have it to me the next morning. Late the next afternoon, my assistant called him again, and this time he "had a guy out sick" but we were told again that we'd have the estimate by the next morning. That was 2 weeks ago, plus add the original week that he had me wait to get the first estimate (which never arrived). Even if he called me tomorrow, and said that he'd do the job for half-price, I wouldn't work with him. He is not a man of his word. He should have just told me, "I don't want the job, please call someone else". I would have appreciated the gesture, and I would have called someone else (it's called good manners). I will NEVER call him again, and I work for a very large firm, so I will email everyone and tell them that he is not a reputable business man, who lies. Summary: DON'T WASTE YOUR VALUABLE TIME, he will promise you an estimate, but he won't follow through. read more
