We hired Jim to install a shower door and a custom piece of glass in our bathroom, and I honestly couldn't praise him more.

5/25/22 UPDATE - Michael and I had a very productive phone call about the issue. He helped clear…read moreup the misunderstanding, and then worked with me on finding a path forward. Matthew came today and performed the removal/reattachment work at no charge. I'm very appreciative of how they helped get this issue resolved! They helped turn an unfortunate situation around and. Nice work, and thank you! We added a bathroom in 2016 and our contractor selected Image Glassworks for the shower door work. Initially we were really impressed with the customer service, the look, and quality. Then in 2020 I reached out to ask for some help with the shower door no longer closing as it should and the frame pulling away from the wall (see photos). They got right back to me with a quote, suggesting a complete removal and reattachment. A bit expensive and I didn't understand why the frame would pull away from the wall like that, but I was prepared to pay to get this taken care of. Then COVID happened and we were no longer in a position to do the work. I reached out again in 2021 when our circumstances had changed and when the problem with the frame and door had gotten so bad that the door wouldn't close at all. I tried over the course of more than a month to get them to help (multiple phone calls, promised return calls that never happened, and emails to both Michael and Matthew that were not replied to) but they ghosted me, and now I am stuck with a shower door that I have to wedge closed. Very impressed with their initial work but very disappointed in their after-sales service.

Like others, my initial experience was good. Crack in double glazed window - paid over $600 for…read moreglass replacement (which seemed excessive, but I needed it done quickly and included window removal and reinstall). No issues and looked good when done. Cold weather came and there was condensation, then when weather cooled further, ice, on the glass, inside the house. I had never had this issue before, nor was it ever seen with the "partner" window (they are a pair on either side of a bay window), so I tried to get it resolved. Months of back and forth later, someone came out and caulked the exterior of the glass (2 visits). No other visits, discussion, or attempt to remedy e.g. check on vacuum seal or anything else. First cold weather snap, condensation inside again. Emails after this point ignored, always "in a meeting" when I call, calls not returned. Michael finally left a voicemail that it must be the frame, which is not what they deal with, so nothing more to be done and has since ghosted me. I sent photos showing they replaced the metal interior frame between the panes (no idea why), so it's not just the glass they dealt with and they removed and reinstalled that as part of the repair. I have called twice since then, but no response 3 days later. 12 months of aggravation and no resolution. They just abdicate responsibility and have no interest in resolving the issue that occurred while the window was being repaired. I definitely don't recommend this business.

You ever have a basement window just....sporadically shatter for no apparent reason? Well,…read moreevidently this is just a thing that randomly occurs in this part of town. The last time I had glass shatter spontaneously was back in '24 when our winter storm door screen was completely pulverized by the summer heat, it seems (Pro-life tip: swap out your storm door screens in the summer with mesh ones). On the back of that unforeseen devastation, out went my mass inquiries to all the local shops servicing the Nashua area. Out of maybe 5 (?), 3 responded almost instantly. One sent a quote so high, I was half tempted to reply and ask if I could have some of whatever they were smoking. Another replied with what seemed to be a promising rate, but there was one problem. Their communication was severely intermittent to the point where they inexplicably ghosted me faster than a recruiter responding to a job applicant. Ultimately, I settled on Good Window Works. They offered a fair quote, were easy to get ahold of, and even provided a COI statement as per the request of our housing board. For those unaware, a COI is a Certificate of Insurance. Basically, it's assurance to the board that the contractor in question is insured to complete the job without creating a liability if they, say....jam their thumb beneath a tack hammer or something. With those formalities out of the way, the job was simple enough: Replace the half of the basement window that abruptly disintegrated. All in all, the job took roughly 2 hours. In the end, the window he installed was so transparent, it looked like there was no pane at all in the frame. But no--the glass was just THAT pristine! I don't say this often, but....experiences like these are what I love most about being a Yelp writer. So rarely do I get to be in the position to not only promote another hard working local business, but also pose as the microcosmic advertising vehicle that just might serve as the prompt some very fortunate individual needs to go, "Yeah, I'm hiring this place to work on my house". If you're wondering whether you should hire these guys for your next installation or repair job, the answer is likely yes. Good Window Works is worth 5 window panes clearer than thin air out of 5.

I had a window with a broken pane on the third floor attic. I called several places, including one…read moreI've used for years for glass and screen repair. Only Good Windows responded and sent someone out to do an estimate. They just finished the job. The original estimate was done from the ground, however when the technician was able to get the unit out of the frame, (This is an old style window), we both saw that additional work had to be done. The tech did the work and did an excellent job. It was only a bit more over the original estimate, but quite reasonable. I highly recommend Good Window Works.
