Bummed, I generally like this place but just had a very poor lunch experience. Took my daughter for lunch and the service was very poor. The place was busy, but not packed, I felt a little bad for the server because she was the only one serving, cash in out and taking care of customers. We had to ask for utensils and water, we only received the utensils, water came about 10 minutes later. We never received he rice, egg rolls and soups but sill had to pay full price. I haven't been here in a while but it's soo good. It's allways fast in and out the portions are pretty generous depending on how much you get. I came at the lunch special which is slightly cheaper but I believe the diner special is all you can eat. One bowl is several meals for me although. The girl I believe she had a nose ring and French braids was really nice. Anyways even if the service was horrible I would keep coming back just because it taste so good hah. read more

Went here and was very pleased, much cleaner and nicer, then the one in Modesto. Lots of fresh veggies and everything was so clean. The waitstaff was attentive and prompt. The grill was being cleaned constantly between breaks. Food was so fresh, abundant and perfect. Since I eat mostly vegetarian this is the perfect place for me. And my husband loves beef we both get what we want. If you liked the Modesto store you will love this place. It is stellar and clean. read more

Best Mongolian bbq I have been too! All employees are super nice! The flavor is much better than other m. bbq's. When you eat in they bring your drinks to the table with wontons/drizzled sweet and sour, delicious soup, cup of rice, sesame roll. The best ever! Highly recommended. read more

Food was pretty good. This was my second visit. I could have missed it but I didn't see the cost or even know what to do. From the note of use a clean bowl I realized it was buffet style. Friendly staff and off course good fresh food cooked right in front of me, is my main reason i go to this place. But place can definitely use some scrub down though---- like floors, tables, chairs, highchairs, iron rails , bathrooms and baseboards by the windows. I always have to ask them to clean the grill before putting my food on there and they are always kool about that. All this might not matter to some customers but as a mother of two, i cant ignore stuff like that and i always find myself cleaning few things here before we sit down. Overall, great food and that's why i go back there. Now they are also serving IPA beer which is definitely a plus for the business. At the end, i am thankful that city like manteca has a good serving food restaurant like this as our town is quite small and there is not too many other options. Will keep on coming back. read more

Manteca finally has a Mongolian BBQ place, if you have never tired Mongolian BBQ you should really check this out. It's all about the sauces and they have lots of them. The food is great and so is the service. The only thing I would change is the size of the bell peppers (they could be cut smaller), but that's being picky. Anyway, hope this helps you decide to try them out, I'd like to see them stay in Manteca for a while. read more

We went came in on a Monday evening it's my first time there the place was empty yet the tray where the noodles are supposed to be was almost empty there was no cilantro the tray was empty and half of the vegetables were almost gone or none at all. The girl that was there serving seem to not care that it wasn't up to standards and seemed very lazy and like she didn't want to be there the food was ok my noodles were burnt and as soon as my bowl was served I could smell the burnt I also asked the server if they had any eggrolls because I see on review pictures the eggrolls are popular and she said "no" and I wasn't sure if they ran out or she didn't want to serve them. The server seemed distracted and we had to get up and ask for refills. MIND YOU WE WERE THE ONLY CUSTOMERS THERE. Don't waste your time or money coming here there's probably a better Mongolian BBQ place in town or outside of town. I won't be coming here again. read more

Food was absolutely delicious as always, as for cleanliness not so much. Employee was cleaning the floor using a mop with his bare hands, removing the bottom end of the wet mop to adjust it and proceeded to cook food straight after. No washing or wiping hands or anything, unsanitary and disgusting as hell. read more

Almost went to a Mexican restaurant in the same shopping center and I'm glad I saw this Mongolian BBQ place across the parking lot. For starters, the service/waitress was top notch, she couldn't have been any more attentive or nice, great service. Food wise, I was expecting to be disappointed, since I come from the bay area which has quite a few Mongolian BBQ restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Noodles were bigger and better, frozen slices of meat were thicker and had less fat than places in the Bay Area. There was a whiteboard at the register that listed exactly Where the veggies came from, and accept for the tomatoes, everything was locally grown. Great food, great service, reasonable price, what more could you ask for. This place will be in my regular rotation for dining out. read more

I was here tonight with my family and deciding to give it a try is definitely a decision I regret. The food was decent enough, but honestly anyone who even slightly knows their way around a kitchen can make it themselves. The real issue with this place though, is the employees. First, we weren't greeted, it being our first time, we had to ask what to do (it seemed pretty obvious but given the ambivalence of the staff we were uncertain). A waitress told us she'd set up a table for us, but after about ten minutes she still hadn't so we just picked a place and sat down. Also, the staff continuously did things that were better left for after closing. For example, there was a waitress who was on the phone arguing with her boyfriend the entire time we were there. There was also a cook who talked about beating the sh*t out of a customer. And finally, if I owned this place, what I'd be most peeved about is that the staff at this restaurant is far more concerned with making it out the door at their 8 o'clock closing time than making money. At 7:15 they turned away a family of six because they told them that they didn't think they'd be done eating by closing. And though we paid an "all you can eat" price, they started cleaning up the food as soon as our first bowls were cooked- over thirty minutes until closing. And they locked the doors behind us 18 minutes until closing. This place could be decent enough, but it desperately needs to re-staff. read more

I went here when they first opened. I have been to many Mongolian restaurants before my visit here, including GK in Tracy and Stockton. I am surprised at the reviews this place has received even when they mention how dirty the place was. I took my family here around 6:30 hoping to beat the dinner rush. Upon entering, the floor was dirty and the tables were mostly filled with food left from the previous guest, meaning they have poor bus service. We figured a table would be cleaned prior to us getting our food and get seated since they did not seem busy. Well the table was cleared of the previous guest's food but the table was not wiped, so it was sticky and dirty. I had to ask for it to be cleaned. After a dirty look from the waitress, it was cleaned. Prior to being seated, we stood in a short line to get our bowls filled. We had to ask for more meat to be brought out because most of them were empty. I didn't really have a problem with this as it meant my meat wasn't sitting out for hours prior to being cooked. Most of the veggies were mixed, most likely due to the guests trying to over-stuff their bowls. After we filled our bowls, we got to the area to have our food cooked. Now, at every other Mongolian restaurant I have been at, the cook uses some water to assist with the cooking of the food. Not here. They did not use any water, nor did they clean the stove top after each use or even after a few plates being cooked. My food had remnants of other people's food since it was stuck to the stove top due to lack of cleaning. My wife and I both made comments while watching them cook, saying "they need to retrain these guys on how to cook Mongolian food". When we sat down, we asked for rice and finally received it after we were just about done with our bowl of food. The place was not even busy. If they had to cook more rice, they could have told us that. Needless to say, our visit here was a bust and we have not been back since. We prefer to drive to the Stockton location as it is much cleaner, well staffed and the cooks know what they are doing. read more

My GF and I went here for lunch on 12/30/2013 around 12:30-1pm. As I walked in I noticed the place seemed to be not very clean (food on the floor,unclean counters ect) but I went against my instincts and decided to order anyway. I am very excited this came to Manteca. I have been there twice to eat in the restaurant and once for take out. Good hot food at a great price. The staff is friendly although they are stretched to their limit when it is busy. To Management: As a former restaurant Manager I have a few ideas. There should be a list of duties for each person as to keep order and flow in the restaurant. I was in at 6:30 pm and there were 9 open tables ALL DIRTY. There were 4 cooks,3 cooking 4 girls running around divideing the time getting drinks,ringing people up,cleaning tables,welcoming,answering questions etc. People wanted a table and were hovering over dirty ones waiting for it to be cleaned which added to the staffs craziness. How about a hostess who greets,explains and someone who only clears tables? The tables are cleaned but still greasy (409 anyone) when you sit down along with spills on the floor that should be wiped up. Also I agress that the food should be separated(by tidying up more often by staff) (people are slobs sadly) Last but not least someone (table busser?) should kill any flies that get in. Yes this sounds gross but I would rather them killed then buzzing my table and the raw food. They make a quiet vacuum bug killer that you should buy. I love Mongolian BBQ, this in addition to the Tracy location are by far my favorites! They have been open now for about 3 weeks and we have gone 3 times. Every time the place is pretty full, but they keep the meats and toppings all well stocked and the counters clean. My kids love the whole experience (3 1/2 and 6 1/2) so this will continue to be a "go to" spot for us! read more

When we walked in the place was extremely dirty every table top was dirty, floor was dirty, food everywhere. I understand the place was slightly busy (3 tables in use) but I did notice a young lady really not doing much the same young lady who bullied another employee for apparently not doing anything vocally in front of customers, he was the one taking calls, making orders, cleaning up. We were there on Friday nov 24th around 7:30pm. She then starts yelling and cussing at him in front of everyone for apparently not doing anything she asked him to do, then the two cooks and herself start making a joke about him crying in the back of the restaurant. Completely unacceptable. This place needs some organizing and full time management on hand. This kind of behavior should never be aloud it's embarrassing. I love Mongolian bbq! Never had a problem! It's the best and very clean! Jus know to put ur choice of meat then vegetables, push it all down then ur noodles on top of that with choice of sauces. The food is pretty good unless they are busy. They have one cook top and if there is only one cook it takes forever. Some people may think I am nit picking but I have been there twice when they were out of jalapeño. Go to Safeway and get some. And when they have grubhub orders, it backs up the line because of the one cooktop. Good food but the staff is limited by the equipment. I will definitely go back. The food was pretty good! And not expensive at all!It was our first time to a self serve place like this but the hostess was super friendly and walked us through it. My SUPER picky 4 yr old loves it and he hates almost everything.(and he was free)....I do however have a few small complaints....the cross contamination of the vegis I didn't like...NEVER eat here if you have a peanut allergy...I got peanuts in my food I didn't put there....I didn't mind but an allergic person would....and the floors were kinda greasy....other than that its worth a trip to try for yourself! Horrible, I use to come here a lot until me and my wife got sick, we had the flu and was throwing up all night. Seems like my food was not handled properly. The owner needs to also hire more people to clean the food bar, I don't recommend these people.
