Mac N Cheese and Chili was good too. The only thing that was meh was the Coleslaw. It could use more flavor.

We drove near a small hut with a sign that read BBQ with a small line of people so we figured it must be good. We turned back and found no more customers, but we asked the caller what was popular, she recommended tri tip and brisket. We ordered combination plates with macaroni and cheese as the side. We asked if the plates came with bread. We asked if the Mac and cheese was homemade. DISAPPOINTED. Both meats were heavily salted, and the brisket had tons of fat. The macaroni and cheese was bright orange with tons of garlic and it tastes like I was biting into a brick of sharp cheddar cheese. The bread was a cold King's Hawaiian roll. We also ordered a hot link on the side that was dried up and hard as a rock. The bbq sauce that came with the plates tastes like bottle sauce. Sadly, we did not attempt to eat the food and threw away $45 worth of food. We don't live in the area so we were not sure and expected more from this little spot. I really wish it had exceeded expectations.

Great news for northern California, one of best BBQ joints if not thee best bbq joint…read more I first found this place on mother's day, googled best BBQ in northern California and Smoke and Meats appeared. We got the food to go, and let me tell you, I kept coming back, The ribs are perfect the flavor is amazing the brisket was so tender it almost melts in your mouth, 3 kinds of sausages cheese, hot and regular amazing the smoke flavor is prominent in everything you taste. There is aways a line, but the line goes quickly, The ambiance is A BBQ RESTAURANT! calm down the decore is western, the sodas come in a can, this is a BBQ joint, the focus is the food. The neighborhood is very cool, the night we went thay had a farmers market with music going on, busy but parking was safe and near. When you do come, say hello to Jeremy the owner, and give him a congratulations for being voted top 10 BBQ in northern California, he was very happy when i told him, we celebrated together as the room cheered and celebrated with us, hears to you Smoke and Meats Keep the meat hot and a table ready, i will be coming back often

Perfect smoke, rendered just right. I wasn't a huge fan of the sweet sauce, definitely have a preference for the more vinegar based stuff. The cole slaw was delicious, super crispy and not too sweet thank goodness. We loved it. The mac and cheese was definitely cheddar cheesy, it was super rich so we didn't finish it but it was good. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was made in house and amazing, we loved the bite of the casing. We also ordered a banana cream pie cup and the vanilla wafers were really soggy, but the pudding consistency was great. Staff were super friendly, food was great, and it was packed inside, definitely can see why this is a local favorite with such high reviews.

I will say that I've always been a fan of mobile food trucks as the majority of ones I've been to…read moreover the years have been tacos. However, I had the opportunity trying out one of the more well-known butcher shops to serve San Joaquin County. This is none other than "Fagundes Meats & Catering" which has been a staple in Manteca for decades. Their actual brick-and-mortar location is off of N. Main St/E. Louise Ave in the heart of Manteca while their food truck ventures out to various locations for a variety of community events. In this case, I saw them serving hungry patrons at the Manteca Watermelon Street Fair that took place during the weekend of 6/6/26-6/7/26. To those that know this business already is that they are famous for their tri-tip. In addition to that, they also have other amazing protein options including rib-eye, brisket, pulled pork, Italian sausage, linguica, chicken, and the order I went with, their pork belly. I ended up going with their "Pork Belly Kabobs" and went for the combo deal which included a side (I went with their macaroni salad) and a drink (I opted for a Diet Pepsi). Total price for everything was $17 (which included tax + tip); not bad especially at a public outdoor event. I will say that the pork belly was quite delicious; a little bit on the salty side but nonetheless still a fairly decent portion in each and every bite. I paired it up with their homemade BBQ sauce which had a sweet yet tangy flavor. The macaroni salad was just average for me as it had too much of a vinegar taste while lacking a whole lot of flavor. Overall, I enjoyed this meal as it held me through the majority of the afternoon. I am definitely curious to try their other meats if I end up visiting their actual butcher shop. Overall, the service was excellent considering I was at a busy outdoor event. The line moved quickly while the prices were quite reasonable, even these days where meat prices have become quite outrageous. With that said and done, I am giving the mobile food truck portion of "Fagundes Meats & Catering" an above average four stars. Hopefully I can make a future visit to their butcher shop in the coming months so stay tuned!

Mac and cheese wasn't at all my cup of tea- too bland for my liking. I've also never had potato salad with black olives in it... That is a "no thank you" for me as well. I'll be back around to try more menu items but for now, I'd say around a 3.5.

I'll comment on the taste in a bit but I want to first highlight something I've never experienced. In all my work-from-home years I've never once had to-go experience where the dishes looked like they'd been plated for table service at the restaurant. Sure some stuff shifted in the Dasher's car but it honestly blew me away. Even the drink was carefully wrapped and put in a little box to ensure it wouldn't leak everywhere. As for the important bit, the taste, man... I have had so many amazing Thai meals at places in the bay area and honestly just assumed the most Modesto would get is some great Banh Mi spots. Obviously I haven't had the chance to try the whole menu but my go-to, Tom Kha, this is the best Thai coconut soup I've ever had! The Pad Thai is as good if not better than what I've had in San Francisco as well. I'm really looking forward to bringing friends and family here to check it out in person! Side note... yes, it's also very expensive ordering via Doordash with their added fees but it's 2026 and it's California. So far my multiple orders have been well worth the price and I expect the same experience in person! (just, you know, without the extra Doordash fee nonsense)

Wowwwwzaaa! Was craving Thai food and gave this little unknown place a try. Never knew this place…read moreeven existed. The restaurant is in a little old school strip mall, supperrrr tiny but don't let that deceive you. Inside was packed and there was a line outside too. Ordered to-go and they said 20 mins but it was more like almost 30-40 min. Truly worth the wait though. Will definitely be coming back to this spot! Also, got a peek in the kitchen and the cooks looked authentic and Thai? That's why it's so yummy! lol.
