Located in a strip mall across from the Target Shopping center and in the same strip mall as Game Stop. It doesn't really jump out at you, but we used our GPS and were able to find them. They had some patrons eating when we arrived. At the same time there wasn't a line when we went to order. They have some new items on their menu that were printed out and taped to the door and cash register. We ordered off the menu and got some street tacos. Carne Asada and Carnitas. A total of 5 tacos to share between us. We already had drinks so we weren't starving. After we paid she asked us if we wanted some salsa cups. We replied yes and she handed 3 to us. I asked if the chips were located at the Salsa bar and she informed us that they were an additional charge. Around $2.75. We decided that the tacos were enough so we passed on the chips. Too bad, I really wanted to like this place, but having to pay for chips is unacceptable. Especially in town like this with steep competition in the Taco business they should give out complimentary chips to stay in the game. We got some salsa. They were no signs as to temperature so we just picked 3. A sour cream looking green based one, another green one and a red one. We were really off when we guessed the temperature in them. The spiciest one was the one that we thought would be really mild and the one that looked hot was mild. The tacos came topped with Salas. One green for the one type and red for the other type. In the end we really didn't need to add additional salsa. The salsa they added was HOT!!!! Usually the one that it comes with is mild and you need to add more from the salsa bar, but not this time. When they asked if we want everting on it. We should have asked how spicy is the salsa that it comes with, but I've never had this happen before so I didn't ask. Note to self for next time. To try the salsa we got from the salsa bar we slipped off one of the 2 tortillas that held the taco and dipped away. We also used a tortilla to make the 3rd taco split in 2 so we could each have 3 tacos with only purchasing 5. Now that I have described our experience you can make your choices to eat here or not and if you like spice or not how to order your tacos.

There is a separate Yelp page for them. I don't know exactly when the two trucks in question changed. Maybe I've been confused and never did have food from Taqueria El Molcajete. I never thought about it much. I just walked up to the truck, looked at the menu, ordered my food, and enjoyed the hell out of it. I am certain I have been getting great food from the truck, El Jacalito, for sometime now and highly recommend it.

Pastor had some nice char and was relatively tender. My favorite Al Pastor tacos pretty much always have some form/taste of pineapple but theirs to me just doesn't have it. Maybe it was drowned out by the salsa? The asada was fairly standard, nothing to write home about. Not especially tender or tough. Tad dry though. Of the regular tacos, the chicken was the most standoutish. Very moist and tender. On the negative though, it was VERY salty to the point where I almost didn't finish it. The quesabirria had some positives and negatives too. The tortilla was nicely done with just the right amount of crisp. The meat itself was a tad tough and dry though. And this is possibly the first time that I had a quesabirria that didn't come with consommé for dipping. Quesabirria just doesn't hit the same without it. And with quesabirria I also prefer that green salsa already inside it as opposed to putting it on after the fact. They had a table with all of the condiments and toppings like salsa and onions. I was more than happy to do it myself for the regular tacos. The horchata was so grainy and not refreshing at all. Not super sweet either so I guess that's a plus. Don't know how horchata is made; is it blended because if so it definitely needed to be blended even more. Or is it strained out? I don't know. The person who took my order was very pleasant though. They also got my food out pretty quickly. I don't think I could give them more than a 3/5 and that's a little generous.

When you walk in your hit with a bunch of mini boards and behind that is an open kitchen, where two ladies were doing prep and cooking. We decided to get a sampling of their food and got a chili verde sope, shrimp & al pastor tacos, Quesabirria tacos and a mini carne asada burrito. The food is all made to order and had a fresh homemade taste to it. Surprisingly the mini burrito which I thought would be basic had a great taste and size. The salsa bar has several options and all the items were also very fresh. The food has a homemade quality, they're not skimpy with the toppings, and the price won't break the bank.

What disappointed me was the lack of effort to resolve the issue. Rather than offering to remake it or correct the order, I was asked if I wanted to purchase another one.
