Back when I worked for the City of Manteca, this was one of my regular places to stop for a delicious meal. And let me tell you, it was always worth the visit! From carne asada, tripa, cabeza, and different cuts of meat to their seafood options, I was constantly trying something new. BUT THE SHRIMP?! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Seriously, their shrimp is one of my personal favorites. If you're someone who enjoys seafood tacos, I definitely recommend giving it a try! Another thing I appreciate is how quickly they prepare the food. When you're working and don't have all day to sit around waiting for lunch, fast service makes a huge difference. They consistently delivered delicious food without making you wait forever. Their drinks are also delicious and definitely on the sweeter side, which I personally enjoy! I also love seeing familiar faces behind the counter. During my visits, it was usually the same hardworking employees, and there's something special about a local restaurant where you recognize the people preparing and serving your food. Manteca has some incredible little food spots, and El Mayita is absolutely one of them. I believe the people behind this location may also be connected to taco trucks in neighboring cities, including Stockton, although I'm not entirely sure. Either way, I have a lot of appreciation for the work that goes into serving our community.
